Located in trendy Greenpoint, you'll feel far removed from the big city crowds here, making it a great choice for those seeking a peaceful base. You're a short walk from waterfront parks, casual cafes and indie shops with easy access to the ferry over to Manhattan. But the biggest draw is your private roof terrace, complete with sun loungers, a barbecue and an outdoor dining area. Inside, the living area is bright and modern with sliding doors opening out to a balcony which serves as a lovely spot for morning coffee. And, if looking to catch up on work while you're away, there's a laptop-friendly desk in the bedroom. 

Brooklyn Bliss

Set just a quick ferry ride over from Manhattan, and with various subway stations nearby, the location of this Greenpoint apartment is spot-on. It's ideal for solo travellers or couples visiting the city, while the double sofa bed adds the option for a third or fourth guest (though we recommend the home for a maximum of two). The dining table doubles up as a laptop-friendly workspace and you'll find a fully-equipped kitchen that will make home cooking less of a chore. Of course, you'll also have plenty of great cafes, delis and restaurants nearby too. Best of all, the private balcony here serves as a lovely spot for enjoying an evening tipple. 

Brooklyn Geek

Sleek and stylish, this apartment offers a tranquil base for those looking to stay in Brooklyn. You'll be a short walk from open green spaces, casual eateries and hip bars, while the ferry over to Manhattan is within easy reach. There's a modern chef's kitchen and the breakfast bar doubles up as a laptop-friendly workspace for those planning a business trip. But the real standout here is the private terrace which serves as a lovely spot for evening drinks as you take in the peaceful surroundings. 

Brooklyn Brunch

Modern, bright, and a little bit luxurious – this apartment is a lovely pick for solo travellers or couples visiting the city. You'll find a well-equipped kitchen and the dining table doubles up as a laptop-friendly workspace for those planning a longer stay. It's also worth noting that your host operates several apartments here, so the exact view, layout and furnishings might differ slightly from the photos. However, the overall quality should remain the same. But the biggest draw is, of course, the home's fabulous Greenpoint location. You'll find open green spaces, waterfront parks, casual eateries and trendy bars right on your doorstep. 

The Colour of You

This cosy apartment in Greenpoint is perfect for a couple’s retreat. The kitchen is just the right size for rustling up a light bite to eat, although with an abundance of eateries nearby, sampling some New York cuisine is a must. With easy access to several subway and bus lines, hopping across the Big Apple to explore fully is a breeze and at the end of the day, you won’t need your weary legs to climb any stairs – just let the building’s elevator whisk you up to your home. 

Blueberries & Almond

Perched above Brooklyn, on the cusp between Williamsburg and Greenpoint, this penthouse boasts skyline views from the private rooftop terrace. Complete with outdoor seating and a hot tub, it's ideal for experiencing New York in luxury. The penthouse, with large floor-to-ceiling windows, is also bright and stylish. We love the addition of automatic blinds and an elevator that'll take you back down to the ground floor directly from your living space. As for your surroundings – enjoy the many nearby cafes and restaurants of Williamsburg. You're also directly on McCarren Park, and after a short walk through the park to the L train, you can be in Union Square in 10 minutes. An Uber ride to lower Manhattan is approximately 15 minutes.

Brooklyn Reign

It's not often you find a quiet sanctuary in the heart of a major city, but that's exactly what this apartment provides with its private garden and outdoor lounge area. We can think of nothing better than relaxing out here with a refreshing drink after sightseeing in NYC. Just a ferry ride over from Manhattan, you'll be within each reach of the top sights, while this trendy Greenpoint location offers plenty of hip bars, eateries and shops to fill your days locally. Back home, you'll find a desk if you need to work remotely, while the extra living space in the master bedroom is a nice touch. It's also worth noting that all guests will be sharing the master en-suite bathroom. 

Brooklyn Heights

We love this fabulous, freshly renovated, bohemian loft apartment located in an authentic converted 100-year-old Brooklyn factory. Prepare a New York-style pizza in the brand new kitchen, or simply relax in the light-filled living space with its exposed brick walls. There are even some glimpses of the Empire State and Chrysler buildings from the living room window. This home is filled with custom-made furniture and original artwork throughout – it's perfect for entertaining family and friends. If you want to explore The City That Never Sleeps, it's just over a ten-minute walk to the Nassau Avenue G Train station on the New York City Subway. For some green space – head to the 35-acre McCarren Park, around a fifteen-minute walk away, with its running track, soccer fields, bocce ball pits and outdoor swimming pool. There's so much to do in the area, you'll need to book another stay.

The Brooklyn Warehouse

This Brooklyn apartment puts you five minutes from the nearest subway stop, whisking you into Manhatten in less than fifteen minutes. There’s plenty to explore on your doorstep too. The red-brick buildings of Greenpoint attract an artsy crowd and you’ll find leafy streets filled with trendy cafés and bars, and one of the best views of the Manhatten skyline can be seen from the riverside. 

Housed in a traditional townhouse building, this top-floor apartment is perfect for families. The kitchen is particularly roomy for an NYC pad, with funky Portuguese floor tiles and an island proving lots of room to cook. The L-shaped sofa can fit the whole family around the Smart TV, and a nook-like room off the master bedroom can be used as a playroom (toys provided) or workspace if you’re mixing business with pleasure. The decor is everything you’d expect from a Brooklyn apartment with hardwood floors and sash windows, but the additional pops of turquoise, yellow and sky blue add a playful element.   

The Playroom

In a previous life, this hundred-year-old building was one of the many factories found across Brooklyn – but it's now home to some seriously stylish apartments. This two-bedroom home still retains several features that echo its past, such as the wooden ceiling beams and exposed brick walls. However, there are also plenty of modern comforts to keep you feeling fine during your trip to New York, from the sleek kitchen to the polished wooden floors. If you're traveling for business, you'll be glad to find a desk where you can catch up on emails and high-speed wi-fi to keep you connected. There are even views across to Manhattan from the master bedroom, and chic details like a spiral staircase and patterned rug. The surrounding area is just as trendy, with several independent Brooklyn bars and restaurants just a five-minute walk away and the farmers market at McGlorick Park every Sunday. And if you need to travel further, Nassau Avenue subway station is just an eight-minute walk away to speed you into the city centre. 

Factory Reset

Whether you're in the city on business or ticking the Big Apple off your bucket list, this modern apartment blends hotel perks with the privacy and personality of a NYC rental to make for a convenient home away from home. Despite being a little further out, you're right along from the East River waterfront, boasting high-rise bars, leafy green expanses and a host of restaurants (a five-minute walk away). On top of this, it's only a twenty-three-minute metro ride from bustling Midtown Manhattan and a thirty-minute journey to the Empire State Building. With so much to see and do around here, and yet without the usual accompaniment of rush hour taxis and clamouring tourists around you, we really love this Greenpoint location. Inside, the bright and colourful apartment features a bespoke interior design and the unique architecture of an old factory building. This particular home provides the quintessential lofted New York-style bedroom that makes for a cosy spot to snuggle down after an afternoon spent sightseeing. Come evening, ask the hotel concierge service downstairs to point you out a couple of great eateries, before exploring Greenpoint by night – it's a friendly, artsy neighbourhood – perfect for those post-dinner strolls. 

The Funky Box

Love New York loft-style living? Then check out this achingly cool period property in the hipster Brooklyn district. Housed in a converted 100-year-old factory loft, this place delivers on all the criteria.  There’s exposed brickwork, lofty ceilings, original wooden rafters, and light-flooding windows revealing some great views across to the quiet and friendly Greenpoint neighbourhood, located nearby. The owners have cleverly made use of those high ceilings by creating a mezzanine level, where you’ll find the second bedroom by climbing a charming spiral staircase. Elsewhere, one-off artwork, contemporary furniture, and global-inspired textiles have been expertly fused to add another layer of interest and make the space feel homely. And even though this home is a little further out, it takes less than thirty minutes (door to door) to get into Lower Manhattan by train, which is an eight-minute walk away. The bike store in the basement will be an added perk for those who plan to see the city on wheels. And so you should. Nearby, you’ll find some bustling restaurants, bars, and shops, along with open green spaces, including McGlorick Park, where there is a farmers' market every weekend. You’d never get that in Lower Manhattan, would you? So get out there and meet the locals – authentic Brooklyn living awaits.
