For anyone looking to stay in the Upper East Side, here's a solid choice. Yes, The Persimmons might be a small studio but it's been recently renovated and has all the amenities you might need. Its decor is simple yet sophisticated and there's a sense of charm that many other corporate style apartments don't have. And despite its size, it's quite well appointed with a rainfall shower and separate desk space. 


The Persimmons

Effectively emphasising the home’s assets, your host proves to have a special touch for small spaces. It’s easy to overlook the square footage, for example, and appreciate instead the modern bathroom with its rainfall shower and stylish kitchenette. It's probably best suited for younger travellers looking for a base, rather than a place to hang out, but with its location in a residential part of the Upper East Side, this area is quiet and peaceful, something that can be hard to find in Manhattan. Local highlights include Gracie Mansion, the East River, and Carl Schurz Park. 

Argyll

Although this studio apartment looks snug, we were impressed by how roomy it feels. The hosts have an eye for these kinds of quintessential New York flats, and they know exactly how to make the most of the space. Instead of a dining table, there's a marble-topped breakfast bar, and the mustard yellow sofa is the perfect size for relaxing before bed. With a contemporary desk, a sleek, well-appointed kitchen and a stylish bathroom – which has a heavenly rainfall shower – this home may be small, but it's got everything you'll need for a comfortable stay in the city. Location-wise, this pad is in the heart of the Upper East Side, which is considered one of the most affluent areas in the city. It's a quiet, primarily residential neighbourhood, but there are still an array of upmarket eateries, chic wine bars and classic New York delis to discover nearby. Plus, Central Park and The Metropolitan Museum of Art are a twenty-minute stroll away, so this is an excellent spot for culture vultures to call home.

Caledonian

The Mesmerised Voyager is located in Astoria, Queens, and we’ll tell you why this home is perfect. Not only is Astoria super well-connected to the city, it’s also got great international restaurants (Greek food is a must) and practically no tourists at all. This authentic neighbourhood has a local charm and ease you won’t find in other parts of the city. Plus, the home itself has been beautifully curated with three gorgeous bedrooms and a living room that boasts both modern and playful touches. This is a sophisticated space and a gem in our collection.

The Mesmerised Voyager

Within walking distance of Central Park, Fifth Avenue, and the city's most prestigious museums, this sleek apartment places you in the heart of the action. You won't need a car here, with easy access to various subway lines, connecting you to the entire city. At home, it's a modern and practical space with a work desk area in the bedroom for those visiting on business. Meanwhile, the kitchenette is very small so we only recommend it for preparing lighter bites. That said, there are countless restaurants, bars and cafes on your doorstep. 

Manhattan Mindset

The Lexington Arms is a luxurious townhouse located in New York's classiest neighbourhood – the Upper East Side. The home is stylishly designed with a combination of modern and antique furnishings. You'll be able to warm up in front of the fireplace with family, and eat around the breakfast table in the morning. Though this house is 30 minutes from Downtown Manhattan by Subway, there are lots of great restaurants in the immediate area. There's also outdoor space – a rarity for New York – the perfect place to kick back with a good book.

The fact that some of the world's most famous museums, such as The Guggenheim, call this part of Manhattan home is just the cherry on top. Back home, this stylish studio is a picture of modern chic and Scandi design. With plenty to see on foot, you'll be walking your furry friends at Central Park or visiting the Metropolitan Museum of Art in no time at all. The kitchen is well-equipped, but we think it's best for prepping lighter bites thanks to its small size. Fear not, though – you'll find a wealth of local restaurants nearby to taste all New York City has to offer.

New York, New York

Tucked away in the Upper East Side, this cosy apartment lends itself well to a big city stay. Space is limited, but for a work trip or a weekend getaway it's got a great location, and you can even bring a furry friend for a fee. The compact kitchen lets you rustle up snacks or small meals, while the surrounding restaurants and cafes offer everything from classic bagels and cronuts to Michelin-starred cuisine. In one direction you'll find Central Park, with the scenic East River in the other. To top it all off, nearby subway stations make commuting or sightseeing a breeze.

Dreams on the Upper East Side

Recently remodelled, and therefore looking extra sleek, Penderyn is a refined studio on the Upper East Side, perfect for those looking for a comfortable base in a residential neighbourhood. Although it is definitely on the small side, even by New York standards, we would imagine guests staying here will spending their time out and about, exploring all this great city has to offer. After a long day of sightseeing, you’ll surely appreciate the clean and modern bathroom and the wonderfully comfortable bed.
