Arrive to be greeted by this home’s cheerful exterior, set against a stunning backdrop of the cloud-covered mountains and boasting partial sea views. The inside will greet you with a bright and cosy living room, with plenty of comfy spaces to lounge about and relax after a long beach day. We love the laid-back vibe of this pad, with its lovely wooden floors and warm ambience. Enjoy movie nights with your loved ones, settling comfortably on the plush sofas in front of the fireplace. You can slide open the glass door and step directly onto the vast terrace and pool area, where you’ll also find a dining table with enough sitting for eight - should you opt for an indoor feast, there's an elegant table here too. On those balmy summer nights gather everyone outside for delicious dinners and barbecues under the stars. On hot afternoons, you can easily spend hours reading and relaxing on the comfy sun loungers by the pool. 

For a night of restful sleep, you’ll have a choice of three equally plush bedrooms, although our personal favourite has to be the master with a sleek ensuite bathroom. Treat yourself to an indulgent bubble bath, before drifting off to the land of sweet dreams in the luxurious king-sized bed. 

In the morning you’ll wake up refreshed and ready for another day of exploring. Head out to find yourself in a lovely neighbourhood, close to the picturesque beaches and with easy access to the centre of Cape Town. Why not start with brunch at your local Bootlegger Coffee Company, located just around the corner from your home. 

The Beachcombers 

This home is stunningly aesthetic, and with such a spectacular view of Table Bay's private yacht marina, it would be a pity to pass it up. Slide the balcony door open and relax in the egg chair with a drink of your choice, admiring the beautiful turquoise water that glistens in the sun, and when noon arrives, light up the barbecue to enjoy some tasty grilled food. Inside, you'll discover a calming living area with pale blue accents to brighten it up and artwork to give character. Take a short walk to the world-renowned V&A Waterfront and The Metropolitan Golf Course to devote the morning on the course, perhaps putting a couple of hole in ones if you're lucky. In the afternoon, visit The Old Biscuit Mill, a heartfelt collaboration between chefs, designers, photographers, and other artists from the area – formerly a biscuit factory that now hosts a Saturday market with over 100 speciality dealers for you to experience.

We absolutely love the views over the ocean from this home's communal pool deck. There's a gym for your daily workout and a sky bar, restaurant, lounge, entertainment hub, barbecue area and boutique here, too. The shared facilities are excellent, we have to say. There are more city views and sea glimpses to enjoy from this apartment's private wraparound balcony. Another feature we love is that both bedrooms open onto the terrace and have en-suites. We haven't mentioned the location yet. Well, you'll be near the popular Sea Point Promenade, while the V&A Waterfront is a five to ten-minute drive away.

What's more, both bedrooms have direct access to either a courtyard or a balcony, making the rooms feel larger.

Located in Green Point and close to a number of restaurants and shops, as well as the Sea Point Promenade and the V&A Waterfront. If you enjoy hiking, venture to the Lion's Head path, which begins just opposite the apartment's entrance, so put on your hiking boots and surround yourself with the natural wonders with an excellent view of the city. Expect to snack your way through everything from biltong to Black Forest gateau while sipping fresh juices, coffee and craft beer at the Neighbourgoods Market.

We think it’s a really special spot – the views from the floor-to-ceiling windows are truly mesmerising. We could sit on the chairs looking out at the stunning vistas all day.

Spend breakfasts at the striking dining table, the concertina doors gaping open to allow the sea-salt breeze in as you drink coffee, pass the scrambled eggs around, and chatter about the day’s plans. 

Those plans might involve a shopping trip at V&A Waterfront or perhaps a day at Mouille Point beach doing little more than listening to the waves lapping. For something a little more cultural, you can stop off at the Iziko Bo-Kaap Museum, only minutes away.
