Situated in Green Point, Cape Town, have a stroll around its namesake park with its lakes, jogging trails, and hedge maze. The park is also home to the Cape Town Stadium, which hosts sports and concert events. There are plenty of bars and restaurants to sample in the neighbourhood too.

Surrounded by The Twelve Apostles mountain range and the Atlantic Ocean, this colonial home in Camps Bay's best feature might be the large sash windows that create the illusion of being right in the water. Get the coffee dripping first thing in the morning and once breakfast has been prepared, you can take it all out on the sun terrace where to eat alfresco. Swim in the Camps Bay Tidal Pool, only a short walk away, or pick any one of the tens of hiking trails around – Lion’s Head is an especially popular choice and the starting point is only seven minutes away by car. 

After a long, tiring day, soak in a bubble bath with a glass of wine in hand. Afterward, why not sit out under the stars with koeksisters or peppermint crisp tart and end the day on a sweet note?

We absolutely love the views over the ocean from this home's communal pool deck. There's a gym for your daily workout and a sky bar, restaurant, lounge, entertainment hub, barbecue area and boutique here, too. The shared facilities are excellent, we have to say. There are more city views and sea glimpses to enjoy from this apartment's private wraparound balcony. Another feature we love is that both bedrooms open onto the terrace and have en-suites. We haven't mentioned the location yet. Well, you'll be near the popular Sea Point Promenade, while the V&A Waterfront is a five to ten-minute drive away.

Trendy Seaside Retreat

In the hills of Cape Town’s Camps Bay neighbourhood, this luxurious villa puts you between the hiking trails of Table Mountain and the surfer’s paradise of Camps Bay Beach. The Kasteelspoort Trail up to Table Mountain starts a twenty-minute walk away, and a four-minute drive sees you at Camps Bay Beach, lined with surf shacks, fashion boutiques, brunch spots and cocktail bars alike. 

At the home itself, you’ve got an inviting swimming pool waiting on the terrace. From here you can float in the cool water while admiring a view of the Atlantic Ocean stretching out before you.  Myriad terraces and glass-fronted balconies provide secluded spots for a sundowner on plush sofas or dining at a picnic-style table. 

Inside, it’s a sleek medley of grey, black and white with huge corner sofas big enough to fit the whole group for a chilled night in. Inside you can finish off breakfast in the sleek kitchenette and enjoy it sitting back in the beautiful, velvet dining chairs. 

Surrounded by restaurants, cafes, and with a gallery in close proximity, you can head out for a dose of Cape Town’s diverse culture - we especially recommend taking a drive through the colourful Bo-Kaap only five minutes away. Shop, eat, and watch the seals play in the harbour at the V&A Waterfront or go in search of Cape Malay cuisine.

Back home, kick off your shoes after a long day of exploring and sink into the plush corner sofa to watch your favourite rom-com whilst sharing a tray of moreish koeksisters.

Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront feels like an opulent floating city within a city. You’ve got the striking heights of Table Mountain in one direction, the blend of two mighty oceans on the edge, and your apartment in the centre of it all. A twelve-minute stroll (or one kilometre) from Two Oceans Aquarium, this coastal abode allows for easy access to yacht trips, fabulous dining, and even watersports for the adrenaline seekers among us. Luckily you’ve got somewhere to relax afterwards.

Waterlily

Perched just above Camps Bay, you're going to struggle to find a home with a better location than this in Cape Town – or anywhere on the rest of the globe for that matter. Step out onto the terrace and you're greeted with a glorious view of white sands, rolling waves and the Table Mountain range in the distance.

With scenery this stunning, you can see why the architect went for floor-to-ceiling glass windows in the main living area rather than walls. This decision also means that this space is treated to bountiful amounts of natural light, making it a lovely spot in which to relax. We're huge fans of the contemporary design throughout, especially the minimalist kitchen and colourful artworks adorning the walls.

The home even has a surprise up its sleeve in the shape of the plunge pool accessed from one of the bedrooms, offering a wonderfully cooling way to deal with the South African summer months. If you're visiting during the cooler seasons, the large freestanding tub in the master bathroom steps up to the plate instead.

As you can probably guess from the panorama, it doesn't take long to reach the beach – in fact, you can be standing on the sand in no more than three minutes on foot. It also only takes five minutes to drive over to the Table Mountain National Park, in which you'll find a wealth of hiking routes and vantage points. Cape Town's City Centre is just over ten minutes away in the car, too.
