It's tempting to have a lazy morning on this large terrace, sipping on coffee and enjoying the clear view of the mighty Table Mountain. Why not go see it up close? It's only a twenty-minute drive away. Hike to the top of the rugged mountain and take in the sweeping views of Cape Town. However you spend the day, you'll love getting home to your modern oasis. Enjoy a drink on the terrace, watch the sun dip behind Table Mountain, and finish the day cosy in your luxurious bed. Or, explore Cape Town's famous nightlife – you're just a six-minute drive or sixteen-minute walk from Long Street, where you can party 'til the wee hours.

Cape Oasis

With delightful views directly over the flat-topped Table Mountain, this bold apartment is perfectly placed in the De Waterkant district – a chic and inclusive enclave of the city. Just around the corner from here, perhaps you'll spend an afternoon perusing contemporary art in the Goodman Gallery. Treasures of the Ocean

Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront feels like an opulent floating city within a city. You’ve got the striking heights of Table Mountain in one direction, the blend of two mighty oceans on the edge, and your apartment in the centre of it all. A twelve-minute stroll (or one kilometre) from Two Oceans Aquarium, this coastal abode allows for easy access to yacht trips, fabulous dining, and even watersports for the adrenaline seekers among us. Luckily you’ve got somewhere to relax afterwards.

Modern and bright, this apartment is set on the ground floor of a shiny residential complex. With its own on-site gym and outdoor pools, you won’t be short of things to do. But the most wonderful thing about the setting is having gorgeous views of the marina right on your doorstep. With a leafy, green trellis shading your private patio, you can enjoy these vistas in serenity – with a glass of chilled South African wine in hand, naturally.

In the evenings, relax on stylish, mid-century furniture in the living space. The mixture of wooden features, bright colours, and marble tiled floors creates a sophisticated yet playful feel in the lounge. And you might not even need to explore your kitchen, as your host can arrange for a chef to come over and handle dinner. More wine?

Waterlily

Step inside this exquisite villa in Camps Bay. Its contemporary design and excellent natural lighting combine to highlight both the stunning interior and the amazing vistas that surround the home. In the morning, make an iced coffee and go through the sliding doors, absorbing the ocean views, before plunging into the cooling pool. We adore the open plan living area that gives an airy space for everyone to relax and entertain, or head downstairs to the cinema room, remembering to bring along the popcorn.

Catch a performance at Theatre On The Bay to experience comedy acts and theatre plays in this gorgeous little theatre venue. It won't be long until you crave a beach day, so take a four-minute drive to Camps Bay Beach to wander along the white sand while admiring the scenic mountain views before selecting the right area to relax for the day. Take a drive along the coastal route to Cape Point – the route will take you past breathtaking coastal scenery, including Muizenberg's colourful beach huts, Kalk Bay, Simon's Town, and Boulders Beach to watch the Penguins.

A Picture of Glory

Overlooking one of South Africa’s most loved beaches, this home makes the perfect setting for a breezy coastal getaway. Wake up to beautiful views and savour the feeling of the fresh Southern Atlantic air from the deck. There’s a barbecue for alfresco dining and your host is on hand to help organise extras like a private chef and catering. All three of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms as well as access to the outside. Plus, you’ll be in the ideal spot for massage treatments, yoga sessions, surf lessons as well as hiking along this beautiful stretch of Cape Town.

Waterfront Breeze

A contemporary Clifton stay awaits you at this stunning seaside apartment, located just a stone’s throw from the picturesque palm-lined shore and gorgeous blue sea of Clifton Beach. We love this home’s modern and trendy feel, with marbled surfaces, mirrored walls, luxe light fittings and sleek furniture. We were particularly impressed by the kitchen area, furnished with the latest mod-cons, and featuring a breakfast bar where you can pour some champagne and share a toast. There’s also a dining set for tucking into delicious braai all together on summer evenings. But the true gem of the home is in its outdoor areas – the breathtaking views out to sea make the space feel special. The balcony features a private pool which provides the perfect place to cool off from the hot South African sunshine, while the alfresco dining set is great for sipping on sundowners and watching the sky turn pink.

Sparkling Reflections

Boasting spectacular sea views and luxury interiors, this coastal home promises a relaxing and memorable retreat. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Cape Town's central, you can savour the peace and comfort this beachside location offers – the white-sand shores of Camps Bay are merely a five-minute stroll away.

Split your time between the two private balconies, kitted out with seating and a barbecue so you can enjoy alfresco meals with the ocean ahead. If you're quiet, you might even hear the waves lapping on Clifton 4th Beach. Inside, homely decor invites you to fully switch off – come evening, sink into the sofa and switch on your favourite TV show. But make sure you return to the terrace in time to watch the sunset.

We suggest bringing a car so you can easily journey into the city centre, less than ten minutes away. Learn more about the country's history at the fascinating Iziko South African Museum, before putting on your walking shoes and heading up Signal Hill. Trust us, it's worth it for the views.

Cape Nautica

If you’re looking for mountain views, you’ve found them. Tucked away on a quiet street in Camps Bay, this luxurious villa has everything you need. The open-plan kitchen and rooftop terrace make this home perfect for entertaining, while the private pool and freestanding bathtubs were made for relaxing afternoons. You couldn’t ask for a better location here, with three beaches in close proximity, including the city’s namesake beach famous for its fine white sand and natural rock swimming pool. No need to worry about transport either – a train station and two bus stops can be found within a few miles of the house.
