This beautiful home in the Swiss Alps has everything we need for a skiing or hiking holiday – and then some. Set high in the mountains, the plot has the most magnificent vistas, we recommend pulling up an armchair or – in summer – a lounger to gawp at mother nature's finest. There's more of those stunning panoramas as you wake up, through French doors, and even when firing up the fondue set in the kitchen. The open-plan living space is where we spend most of our time, with quirky cow-hide dining seats, Swiss-themed armchairs, and access to the balcony and barbecue. Thanks to huge leather sofas and traditional games, it's where we like to end the day too – preferably with a cocktail watching the evening rays light up the peaks.
