Crossing over the Ponte Sisto at sunrise is one of Rome's greatest pleasures, not least because it takes you into Trastevere, the heart of Medieval Rome. Head south-east towards Piazza di Santa Cecilia, home to one of Rome's most elegant basilicas. Head back upstairs for sea bass and truffle carpaccio at Le Mani in Pasta, before walking off lunch with a stroll up the Gianicolo Hill.
