This collection of three apartments in Como is perfect for a group of friends or a large family travelling together. Four guests can be accommodated in each apartment, with two guests on a sofa bed in the living space. There’s a kitchen in each apartment, though with such a central location, you’ll have plenty of restaurants to choose from nearby. The shores of Lake Como are a ten-minute walk away, as is the cathedral. Your host can arrange all kinds of luxurious extras to make your stay all the more memorable, from boat charters to personal shoppers. 

Como Together

Perched by Lake Como, this villa caught our eye thanks to its beautiful surroundings – best enjoyed from the infinity pool or terrace. Inside, sliding doors connect the open living space to the outdoor area, where you'll find sun loungers, a dining table, and a barbecue. Spread over four floors with an internal lift, there's also a fully equipped home gym, complete with a sauna and spa shower. Upstairs, two of the bedrooms benefit from sweeping lake views, and there's a study area for those working remotely. And, when you're ready to explore, it's just a short drive from the city of Como – the villa also comes with garage parking.

Lake Love Letters

This historic farmhouse and barn have been transformed into a striking modern apartment, perfect for exploring the Italian Lake District. Open up the sliding doors to combine the indoor space with the outdoor terrace – ideal for sunny evenings when eating on the patio is a must. However, the space is equally inviting inside, where you can admire original features, such as the exposed stone walls and wooden beams. Halfway between Lakes Maggiore and Lugano, you'll have lots of options for days out – set sail on a boat trip, explore nearby cycling trails (there's bike storage here), or drive to the nearby town of Varese for historic sights.

The Priory

This contemporary home was designed by a creative architect and features a large terrace stretching around half the apartment. Your host can provide free baby equipment and pets are welcome, making it an ideal choice for families. While there is the potential for some noise from other residents of the building, you'll have space to sit outside with an alfresco meal or drink and look out toward the glittering Lake Lugano. We think you'll want a car here for getting the most out of your stay, whether it's exploring the shops and fantastic restaurants or parking up and taking a scenic walk by the water.

The Emerald Fountain 

The views of Lake Como from this home are simply gorgeous – we could sit on the balcony here gazing out over the gently rippling water to the mountains for hours. You can enjoy the incredible vistas from the terrace too, where you can relax on the sun loungers or dine alfresco. Whip up some tortelli di zucca in the sleek, dove grey kitchen for dinner. On chilly evenings gather around the fire or get some rest in the stylish bedrooms with their ornate wallpaper. 

Situated in Argegno, there are a range of eateries within a five-minute walk. Further afield, the alpine city of Lecco, with its splendid Basilica di San Nicolò, is eleven minutes in the car. Or walk the trails of the stunning Monte Barro Regional Park, a sixteen-minute drive from this lovely home.



Watching The Boats Go By

An idyllic retreat in the Italian Lakes, this stunning villa blends rustic charm with modern luxury. It boasts breathtaking views of Lake Lugano, which can be admired from the wraparound terraces and lush gardens – all splendid spots for cocktail hour. Perfect for families, the lakeside home is spread across three separate buildings, with more than one kitchen and multiple living spaces. You can spend time together en masse before breaking off into smaller groups for kayaking excursions, table football tournaments, and workouts in the outdoor gym. Your host can even arrange access to a boat and a Fiat 500 so you can explore the lake beaches and restaurants of nearby Lugano and Porlezza. 

Lugano Lullaby

Tailor-made for two, this chic apartment promises a relaxing stay in Como. As you’d expect with a studio, space is limited here, but you’ll find everything needed for a comfortable stay. And the cherry on top for us is the outdoor space. Soak up the sun as you dine alfresco, kick back on a lounger with your holiday read, or simply drink in the views across Como and the lake. Location-wise, you’re mere minutes from the historic city centre and Lake Como, so whether you’re sightseeing, shopping or planning a meal out, this home will tick all your boxes. 

Como Classic

We were sold on those views of Lake Maggiore alone – and that was before we'd even clapped eyes on the panoramic sunny terrace and newly refurbished interiors of this townhouse. As we're finickity, the downstairs living space feels a little bijou, but with that covered panoramic balcony outside, we don't think you'll mind. And kids will love the novelty of the top-floor mezzanine bedroom with a TV den to spill out into. Perched amidst the hillsides, 700 metres above the lake, you're quietly removed from the bustle. But when it's time to dip your toes into lakeside living, Stresa's grand promenades and history-rich streets bustling with trattorias are just a five-minute drive away.

Top of the Lake

Halfway between Italy’s Varese and Switzerland’s Lugano, this cosy Cunardo apartment puts you right in the middle of lake country. The interiors are simple and practical – there's no living room, but the bedroom has plenty of space to spread out. Step outside and you’ll find friendly local trattorias and bars that make you feel right at home. And with Switzerland just a half-hour drive away, you can cross the border for lunch and be back in time for an evening aperitivo.

The Rustic Retreat

A dream destination, this 19th-century lakeside villa couldn’t be closer to the shores of Lake Como. Enjoy views of the lake from inside and out, thanks to large windows and a beautiful garden complete with a fish pond and a private heated pool. We love the style of this home; it’s classy and stylish, while also being wonderfully comfortable – though it is spread over four floors. Boat trips exploring Lake Como are a breeze thanks to the private dock – also great for those wanting a refreshing dip. You’ll be within walking distance of restaurants and shops, and can visit Cernobbio in no time. 

Luminous Lake

Modern, bright and beautiful as it is, nothing's going to beat the outdoor area here. With ample seating, including an alfresco dining table under a flowering pergola, looking out over the glistening lake, you can see why this one made our collection. We also like the bathtub facing the door so you can even admire the views from inside. Because of the perched location of this home, you'll have to climb steps up to it, but it'll all be worth it for the breathtaking panorama of Lake Como.
