Located just a moment’s walk from La Concha beach, and with stunning views over the iconic bay, this bright and stylish apartment is the perfect base from which to immerse yourself in all the wonders of San Sebastian and the surrounding area.

The interior is modern yet cosy, with plenty of comfy spaces to lounge about and enjoy the views – the corner window nook will make you feel as though you’re inside an enchanted lighthouse, looking out to sea.  We love the simple yet chic design, with splashes of vibrant green and creamy, ice grey. The wooden floors give the whole place a homely, warm feeling, and you’ll feel the apartment’s welcoming embrace regardless of the season. The open-plan kitchen, along with the dining and living areas, is perfect for enjoying family meals and relaxing evenings, especially with the benefit of the smart TV. Add to it the luxuriously comfortable bedrooms, and we are sure that you will have a restful, carefree stay. 

Although you may never want to leave the comforts of this apartment, we think that the treasures which await you will be well-worth stepping outside. With glorious beaches and the San Sebastian Bay at your doorstep, and with the historical city centre a ten-minute drive away, you’ll be in an ideal spot to make the most of your stay. 


The Golden Shell

The location of this apartment means you can enjoy the fun and relaxation of coastal living. Nestled in the Gros neighbourhood, it’s just a short stroll to Zurriola beach while La Concha Bay and the Old Town are also within easy reach. It’s worth noting the apartment is on the second floor with no lift access, but once inside it's easy to switch off and unwind. From the sociable living space to the calm bedrooms, this is a great option for families and groups looking to experience the magic San Sebastián.

Blissful Being

This apartment is chic and well-thought-out, with a smart L-shaped couch giving you plenty of space to kick back and relax. The bright white kitchenette is well-equipped for you to make a morning coffee to enjoy on the balcony while a sea breeze ruffles your hair. Serene bedrooms come with piles of cushions and a cosy throw for your best night’s sleep ever. From here, a short stroll through De Cervantes Plaza will bring you to La Concha Beach, a pleasing strip of golden sand from which you can watch little white boats bobbing on the tide. Located on a lively street in the Old Town of San Sebastian, some of the city's best pintxos restaurants and bars are just footsteps away. 

La Piedra Blanca

Traditional markets on your doorstep, La Concha Beach within walking distance, and restaurants aplenty just a short stroll away – we can't think of a better spot to soak in the lively atmosphere of San Sebastián. Right in the heart of Old Town, this stylish apartment is in a prime position for wining, dining and sunbathing, Spanish-style. Just step out the door straight into Plaza de la Bretxa and you'll understand why we love this location.

When you're not out and about exploring, make your way back to this cosy pad for some much-needed rest and relaxation. The living space is incredibly bright and super contemporary. Quaint Juliet balconies overlook the market, which is filled with local traders every morning. It's the perfect place to shop for produce to use in tapas and other dishes, which you can rustle up with ease in the glossy kitchenette. After finishing the evening with a glass of wine and a movie on the smart TV, snuggle up in the comfortable bedrooms for a restful night's sleep.

Amalur

Nestled into the banks of the Urumea River, right before it flows into the Cantabrian Sea, sits a home so sleek you won’t know if you’re staying in a luxurious hotel or a cosy home. Pairing a gentle colour palette with contemporary takes on mid-century designs, this home oozes peaceful serenity in the centre of town.  Maitenminduta, which means to be in love, is perfectly located to experience all that the city has to offer. Head into the bay of La Concha for an early morning swim or walk just a short way to the Old Town at the tip of the Peninsula for a culinary experience you won’t soon forget. Bustling with bars and restaurants, you’ll want to take on the Old Town with a great appetite. Famous for its pintxos, these small snacks go brilliantly with any of the local beers, wines and ciders. When night falls, we recommend going for a pintxos crawl, hopping from one bar to the next until you’re so full you don’t think you can make it home. Except, of course, your home is just a short walk from all of this. 

Maiteminduta

The windows in this apartment are huge, and for good reason. The sea views are simply stunning at all times of day, inviting you to spend hours gazing at the waves. There’s plenty of space for seven people to chill out in the living room or gather round the dining table for a meal whipped up in the ultra-modern kitchen. The golden sands of La Concha beach are just minutes away, where you can sunbathe, take a dip or go for a stroll. Nearby Zurriola Beach is famous for its surf culture – take a lesson or watch from the shore. The old town of San Sebastian is also close, with its pintxo bars serving drinks and little snacks to soak them up. Discerning diners can also treat themselves at one of the many Michelin star restaurants. After all that excitement, enjoy a nightcap on the terrace before heading to bed for a great night’s sleep. 

A Wash Of Blue

A comfortable design with cool tones to make you feel at ease, while terracotta accents around the home offer a splash of colour, as do the exquisite rugs that compliment the décor. The open plan living area is the perfect spot for gathering everyone in the morning for a coffee while preparing a hearty breakfast and relaxing on the rattan chairs beside the dining table. To work up an appetite, roam Belle Époque promenades of the city's three beaches – stop to sip a glass of local sparkling txakoli wine, before looking out for the Euskal Dantza (the local dance). Although it has the second-most Michelin-starred restaurants to tempt your taste buds, you must experience The Basques' unique way of dining – walking from bar to bar and enjoying bite-size pieces of culinary art. Stroll through the maze of narrow cobblestone streets in Old Town, filled with excellent pintxo bars and historic architecture to have fulfilled your day of exploring.


Finding Joy

If you’re in the mood for a sun-soaking session, take your pick of Zurriola beach, nestled between the Kursaal and Monte Ulía, or the crescent-shaped, La Concha –  both are within a ten-minute walk. For a spot of sightseeing, make the twenty-minute walk up the Paseo Nuevo promenade where you can marvel at Jorge Oteiza’s Construcción Vacía bronze sculpture. Absorb the Basque mentality on pintxo-pote Thursdays by sampling the city’s savoury snacks.

Moneo Muse

What we love about this home – besides its outstanding location – is that its contemporary interiors are juxtaposed by the views of the surrounding Art Nouveau buildings. That means you can live with creature comforts while taking in the city’s rich history as a luxurious resort town. Welcoming six guests, there’s plenty of comfortable seating for everyone, especially on the sumptuous sofa and chaise longue in the living room. Step out onto the balcony to sip your morning coffee and take in the city’s awakening before heading out for a day of fun. You’ll be staying in Gras, a popular neighbourhood amongst young locals, artists and musicians. This is where you’ll find the city’s surfing beach and many of its cultural institutions. For reference, you’re about a ten-minute walk from Zurriola Beach and Kursaal, a cutting-edge theatre and auditorium. For pintxos, we recommend heading over the river to the bars and restaurants of the Old Town.

Foie

In an elegant classical building, this apartment on the mezzanine level offers stunning views from the windows, taking in the ornate Maria Cristina Bridge and the remodelled Tabakalera building. While the veranda terrace is the perfect spot to start each day with your morning coffee as you overlook the Urumea River. Then, why not enjoy a few peaceful hours of sun as you recline in a deck chair with your favourite holiday reads. 

Wander along the beautiful promenade of the Urumea River to reach the Maria Cristina Bridge – a short three-minute walk away or walk three minutes in the opposite direction to visit the cathedral. If beach days are what you’re looking for, then you’re in luck as the golden sands and soothing sounds of the ocean are roughly a ten-minute walk from your door.

In the evening, what could be better than dining alfresco here, and a private chef can even create you some delicious authentic Spanish tapas to enjoy with a glass of wine at the outdoor dining table on the veranda, with a view of the river as the sun sets. 

 Sol en el Río

A homely apartment in the centre of Donostia–San Sebastián, this home makes for a comfortable base from which to explore the city and the Basque coast. The interior offers plenty of space to unwind amongst the eclectic and industrial designs, but the sea views are the main draw here – and since the living room and both bedrooms are seafront-facing, every guest can enjoy the rolling waves. You'll find everything you need to cook in the kitchen, although San Sebastián’s local pintxos bars and authentic restaurants are just a short stroll away.
