The location of this villa is unbeatable. Restaurants, shops, and Puerto del Carmen's kilometre-long beach are less than a ten-minute walk away, so exploring on foot is a piece of cake. On the days you want to take it easy, swap a dip in the Atlantic for a swim in the private pool. There's also a sunny roof terrace, where you can perch with a glass of wine and admire distant ocean views. The fuss-free interiors won't be winning any awards for style, but they're comfortable nonetheless. We think it's a convenient option for families wanting to be close to the action.

The Palm Tower

Just a short walk from Playa Chica beach on the gorgeous Puerto del Carmen coastline, this cosy villa provides a tranquil retreat from the hustle and bustle of this lively stretch of Lanzarote. Inside, the home is serene – bathed in natural light, with white walls, a sleek, modern kitchen and the occasional splash of colour to add a touch of personality to the space. After a busy day exploring the local area, pop your feet up on the chaise sofa, uncork a bottle of wine and settle down for a movie night with loved ones. When bedtime calls, you’ll find it easy to drift off into a deep slumber after climbing in between the crisp white sheets. 

In the morning, pad out to your terrace with a steaming cup of coffee and settle down on a sun lounger to take in the view. The sea glistens invitingly from behind the palm trees, and before long, you’ll be keen to feel the warm sand beneath your feet. After a day spent splashing about in the ocean, you can head home to sink into the cosy hot tub and watch as the sun sets and a blanket of stars breaks out overhead. It boasts its own gym, and numerous ball games for those who like the action; or you can enjoy the poolside sun loungers if all you want to do is lay back and soak up the sun. Situated in a lovely location, Sunset Serenade has glorious views from the first-floor terrace where you can see the sea by day or enjoy watching the sun set in the evening. Equipped with a brick-built BBQ, you can cook up a storm in the outdoor kitchen area, ready to enjoy a feast with your nearest and dearest in the lovely alfresco dining area. There is plenty to keep you entertained in Blissful Retreat, but if you feel like heading out, you're not too far from the beautiful sandy beach and the strip of shops and bars that line it.

Paradise Delight

Sitting high above the Atlantic Ocean, this modern marvel is the ideal hideaway in Lanzarote. An extensive terrace makes the most of the view – whether you're enjoying a swim in the infinity pool, dining alfresco on fresh-caught seafood or taking a dip in the hot tub under the stars, you'll be able to feast your eyes on the rolling waves. The interior shows off the scenery as well, thanks to floor-to-ceiling patio doors that flood each room with natural light. Wake up to the clear blue sea glistening on the horizon each morning, then pad into the glossy kitchen for a cup of coffee and a delicious breakfast. The design is sleek and contemporary, with plenty of mod-cons to appreciate – play your favourite songs on the Bluetooth speakers, relax under the rainfall showers, cook up a storm with the double oven or just get competitive with a game of table tennis. 

Location-wise, Puerto del Carmen's old town harbour is a sixteen-minute stroll away, where you can enjoy dinner and drinks at the array of restaurants right on the waterfront. The area's sprawling beaches are also within walking distance – it's just twenty-three minutes on foot to Playa Blanca if you're keen to sunbathe on the sand.

Alright, All Night

Located in the Puerto del Carmen area of Lanzarote, this charming villa is ideal for couples and families alike. If you’re looking for some sun, sea and sand, this spot is ideal as it’s just a one-minute walk to the nearby sandy beach. If you’re craving a little adventure or looking for activities to keep the kids entertained, you’ll find a waterpark, zoo and 18-hole golf course just a five-minute drive away. Of course, there’s plenty to do at home, thanks to the private heated pool and alfresco seating.

Spring of the Sea

An escape to the island of Lanzarote is made all the better when you choose to stay at this glorious holiday home. It sits in a peaceful spot in Los Mojones, close to the fun-filled resort town of Puerto del Carmen and within walking distance of the laid-back and lovely beach of Playa Chica.

The private gardens of this home are absolutely idyllic – the stunning outdoor pool provides views out to the ocean, so you can admire dreamy blue views while you float, swim and splash. Here, you'll find plenty of poolside loungers where you can rest in the sun with your nose in a good book. There's also an alfresco dining area where you can toast a glass of Cava to your wonderful getaway.

Inside, the home is contemporary and cool, with characterful artwork, modern spotlighting and glossy furniture – and the floor-to-ceiling windows here also mean you can enjoy the stunning surrounding views without setting foot outside. You can gather around the kitchen breakfast bar and tuck into delicious dishes of paella and tapas together, before heading to the lounge to watch the sunset over the ocean in the distance.


The Aquarian

Considering this home is only a two-minute walk to Playa Grande, it’s pretty much inevitable that it would have water views from the balcony on the first floor, but it shouldn’t be taken for granted. Instead spend every morning out there enjoying a strong cup of coffee and breathing in lungfuls of salt-touched air as you admire a rather enviable horizon. Once all the late-risers are up, you can come together in the compact kitchen for a little fry up – maybe a Spanish tortilla with chorizo? – before mapping out the day ahead. 

For the most part, you’ll likely feel bound to this home, and how could you not? The crisp, neutral furnishings, complimentary warm wood elements, and various nooks to claim as your own. Give us that plush sofa and footstools and we’d probably spend the entire day there reading a good book. Then, of course, there’s also the desirable outdoor area – swim to your heart's content in the privacy of the courtyard and if you find the water a little nippy, jump out and soak up some rays from your position on the sunlounger. 

If you manage to pull yourself away from the views, you can wander down to the beach, but know that there’s also potential for adventure here. A scuba diving centre is a nine-minute walk away, and a six-minute stroll will take you right to a bowling alley. When you’re not barbecuing, you can sample any one of the local restaurants, all under ten minutes away on foot.

Patchwork & White

This sleek villa is located in Los Mojones and shows off modern design at its finest. White walls reflect the natural light ushered in through the floor-to-ceiling glass, while grey furnishings seep a sense of calm into the home. After a busy day exploring the Puerto del Carmen coastline, the comfortable chaise leather sofa invites you to kick back and relax with a book and a glass of wine in the evenings, before you take your pick of bedrooms, each with terrace access, to settle down for the night. 

Sunny days will be spent poolside, soaking up the Spanish sun from the comfort of your lounger with a cocktail in hand. For a little respite from the heat of the day, sink into the refreshing water of the private pool where you’re afforded total privacy, courtesy of the lava rock wall encapsulating the garden. If you start to feel a little peckish, fear not – there’s a barbecue which promises a delightful alfresco meal, all you need is someone to take charge and get grilling.

When it’s time to head out to explore, a ten-minute stroll will see you wandering the quaint streets of the old town and harbour, or if you fancy a beach day, it’s just a fifteen-minute walk from your home-away-from-home. 

Sunshine on the Rocks

There isn't a much better tonic for the soul than the combination of ocean views and sunshine. Wake up to precisely that every morning when you wander out to the balcony – here, you can eat breakfast alfresco or sit quietly with nothing but the sea salt breeze and a good cup of coffee. 

Make the most of the sunshine by lounging poolside, leaving your book behind to slip into the crystal clear water of the private pool whenever sunbathing gets a little hot. 

After a lazy morning, you might head out to explore the island. The beach is only a walk away, and if you're feeling particularly adventurous, you might even try your hand at the watersports on offer. There's also the potential for deep sea fishing and other island excursions that'll give you the full island experience, but be sure not to miss Puerto del Carmen. It still has the charm of an old fishing village, but with plenty of restaurants where you can get an authentic taste of Lanzarote. 

Make your way back home in time for sunset drinks on the rooftop bar and spend the rest of the evening chatting under the stars with a glass of wine. 

The White Canary

A gorgeous pool and a shaded alfresco area await guests at this large home in southern Lanzarote – perfect for that long-awaited friend reunion or family getaway. While the bedrooms and living room are perfectly functional, if a little light on colour and design, it's the outdoor area that'll get you excited. With plenty of sun loungers and shaded seating, sun lovers and the sun-phobic are equally catered for here. You can feed the troops at the barbeque, or head to one of the nearby eateries, while the nearest beach is less than a mile away.

That's just one of the perks of living in the former fishing village of Puerto del Carmen, brimming with restaurants and places to explore. Walk through the town, stopping at the many markets on the way till you reach the stunning Old Town Harbour. Settle in for a feast of tapas and delicious local wines. Once you're through, explore the many beaches around, some bustling and others introspective. If you ever tire yourself out, escape with a taxi boat to Puerto Calero Marina, and uncover a more upmarket take on the beach life.
