As you saunter past the ornate, rococo grandeur of the Palacio Real de Madrid, peering into kerbside cafés, wine bars, and bustling tapas restaurants en route, you’ll end up in Plaza Mayor, just seven minutes away.

The lively main square of Spain’s capital is exactly what you’d expect – historical 15th-century magnificence with a bronze statue of King Philip III in the middle. And of course, the exciting mix of drinking spots and shaded alfresco dining continues. You might be wondering why we’re so interested in this specific spot – well, this is your address.

This modern apartment trades in centuries of history for bright and shiny interiors (you’ve got plenty of history outside). Naturally, the living space features two huge glass doors leading you to a private balcony facing on to the celebrated square. A cushy white sofa and dining chairs around a glass table bring a futuristic feel, while pink orchids contrast with an organic edge.

But while you sip tempranillo and nibble olives with views over the king’s statue, your host has further plans make you feel regal. They can arrange for private city tours, dry cleaning, grocery deliveries, and even themed dinner nights – royal banquet anyone?

The King's View

This luxurious apartment is located in the heart of Madrid’s Salamanca district, surrounded by boutiques, restaurants, and cafes. El Retiro Park is less than five minutes away on foot, there are galleries nearby, and a Metro station is just along the road. Housed in a stately building in a classic Madridian style, the apartment is stylish and sophisticated. High ceilings and large windows make it a relaxing space to return to after seeing the sights of the busy city. 


Madrid Living

Charming and bright, this studio apartment sits just steps away from Sol Metro station, with easy access to the city's biggest and best attractions. On a higher floor of a traditional period building, it comes with character features, modern comforts and bags of natural light from its three Juliet balconies. White walls and wood floors make for a timeless canvas while smart furnishings keep everything very much in the 21st Century.

It's not a huge space but it's neatly laid out with zones for cooking, eating, lounging and sleeping, and there's an immaculate shower room off the sleeping area, making this perfect for a couple, a solo traveller or even a small family. Step outside and this lively area is packed with buzzing tapas bars and some of the city's best shopping. An ideal base for dabbling in these delights, this convenient home is an easy choice.  

Painter of Light

Located in the bustling heart of Madrid – just a one-minute walk from the city’s famous Gran Vía shopping street – this bright, comfortable home is the ideal base for those looking to get the most out of the city’s sights.

With its beach-vibe decor – think wood floors, palm feature walls, houseplants and wicker and wood accents – you’ll feel at ease from the moment you walk through the door. We love how much natural light pours in from the glass doors that lead out onto a Juliet balcony and the chic dining table that invites homemade tapas feasts and elegant soirées catered by a private chef (your host can organise this). The bedroom, meanwhile, is just as serene with its tropical statement wall and king-size bed, while the marble-clad bathroom beckons long bubble baths after a day of seeing the sights.

Speaking of exploring, you’ve got plenty to see and do within easy walking distance, including Puerta del Sol (eight minutes), Plaza Mayor (ten minutes), the Royal Palace of Madrid (fifteen minutes) and the Museo Nacional del Prado (twenty minutes). With your host able to arrange tickets to events and museums, as well as organise trips to nearby towns, cities and wineries, you’re all set to experience Madrid in style. 


Viva la Gran Vía

Based around an open living area, Peaks & Valleys is well proportioned and generally a sociable space. It’s not in pristine condition, as evidenced by the marks on the walls, but that’s an aesthetic consideration, and doesn’t make the home any less comfortable. The metro station in Lavapiés is close to the flat, and while the square outside is a little rough around the edges, there are several lively bars and restaurants.


Peaks & Valleys

If you're looking for a home that combines a chic aesthetic with an excellent location, then this is the place for you. Located in the Salamanca district of Madrid, the apartment reflects its stylish surroundings perfectly – for fans of the finer things in life, it doesn't get better than this. 

The large French windows bathe the whole living space in natural light, and there are two inter-connected living areas, so everyone has space to relax in style. The interior design is modern yet classic – you'll love the ornamental fireplace, patterned rug, and carefully considered pops of colour. The kitchen is kitted out with everything you need to whip up some of your favourite Spanish dishes, and there's even a little balcony where you can enjoy a morning coffee or evening sundowner in the fresh air. 

Head outside to explore the 19th-century streets of Salamanca and admire the gorgeous architecture as you get to know the neighbourhood – it's one of the most desirable in all of the city. The nearby Golden Mile is home to many boutiques where you can treat yourself to designer pieces, and the upscale food market Platea Madrid is just eight minutes away. And, with Velázquez metro station just one minute away, you can get around the rest of the city quickly and easily. 

Twist Of Lime

Nestled among the vivacious nightlife, medieval streets, and traditional tapas bars of Madrid’s lively Lavapiés neighbourhood, this apartment is in the mix of the city’s bursting cultural scene. Here, you’re steps away from the city’s most popular tourist attractions, but far enough from the throngs of crowds.

Stepping inside, you’ll find a bright, minimalist interior that’ll suit any preference. Natural light billows through the patio doors, inviting you to enjoy your morning coffee from the Juliet balcony, watching daily life resume in the streets below. And when you return home after a day of exploring Madrid, enjoy a few glasses of wine and a game of cards around the dining table before heading out to one of Lavapiés’ restaurants.

Whether you’re here for business or pleasure, the central location will certainly come in handy. If you are here for work, the city’s business area is within easy reach – simply hop on the metro to make your way there. But if you want to stay closer to home, you’ll find much to explore. Stroll around the Reina Sofía Museum, marvel at the San Fernando Church, or simply discover the steep streets and traditional corrola buildings. 

City Spirit

You’re a five-minute walk from the Museo Nacional del Prado, less than fifteen from the sprawling Retiro Park and twenty from the Royal Palace. When all of that exploring works up a hunger, check out your neighbourhood’s impressive culinary scene. Find a tapas bar for a tipple and a bite to eat or try out international cuisine in sleek dining rooms. 

Scholastic

This beautiful two-bedroom apartment, nestled right in the heart of Madrid’s Centro and overlooking Plaza Tirso de Molina is a perfect place for a family or a small group of friends to base themselves while they discover all of the magic this city has to offer. With its prime location, luxurious features and all the exclusive shared facilities, this pad is a hard one to beat.

With a beautifully serene private balcony, you can enjoy alfresco meals and relax with your holiday read in one of the garden chairs. Fitness buffs are in luck, too, as there is a fabulous on-site gym for guests to make the most of 365 days a year too. 

Expect just as much excitement from the apartment's interior, too, as chic and contemporary designs present a truly comfortable space to kick back in between exploring the sights of Madrid. So whether you're cooking up your own Spanish delicacies, getting stuck into some work at the dining area (with enough space to set up a laptop) or simply chilling out with your favourite playlist on in the background –  it's safe to say you'll feel right at home when staying here. 


Light Energy 

Simplicity is at the fore when it comes to Windcomb. The sense of space is not something to be taken for granted, either. Eight people, and not a sofa bed in sight. Unfortunately, it’s rather common for unscrupulous landlords to try to shoehorn people in, but that’s certainly not the case here. It’s a bit of a pain to have to climb up the steps, but that’s an occupational risk when you test so many homes in old buildings – it’s hardly a dealbreaker.
