With its industrial loft-style layout and myriad artworks, this chic apartment in Madrid’s Chueca neighbourhood is ideal for those looking for a central, characterful stay in the city. We love the openness of this home with the living room boasting French doors that give way to Juliet balconies – ideal for sipping your coffee in the morning while taking in views of the hustle and bustle below. Catch up on work at the cool wooden desk space or kick back on the sofa while listening to some tunes on the record player. The modern kitchen is dazzlingly sleek, creating a funky juxtaposition with its beamed ceilings and rustic dining table that beckons celebratory meals over Spanish wine and tapas. The bedroom, meanwhile, is calm and elegant with a muted palette that will ease you into a restful night’s sleep ahead of a day of sightseeing. Speaking of exploring, you couldn’t be better placed to see some of Madrid’s most iconic sights, including Gran Vía for its stellar shopping (a three-minute walk), El Retiro Park (a twenty-minute walk), the Royal Palace of Madrid (also a twenty-minute walk) and Plaza Mayor (a thirteen-minute walk).


El Rey

This stylish apartment is blessed with gorgeous views of Chueca Square, one of the most vibrant areas of Madrid. It's a collection of cool bars, top-rate restaurants and boutique stores selling chic clothing. It's a trendy suburb that showcases the allure of Madrid.

Despite the busy location, the apartment exudes a peaceful energy at all times. Whether you're chilling on the sofa, sharing tapas on the table or relaxing in bed, you'll feel content in your tranquil surroundings. 

Once you're fully rested, get out and explore the rest of Madrid. The metro stop is just minutes away by foot, giving you complete freedom to discover the charm of the city. Find on-trend galleries, fascinating museums and a plethora of parks for a wholesome day of culture.

In the evenings, sample the world-class food scene – Madrid has myriad of restaurants that sample the globe. Find one that suits your palette, complemented by a fresh jug of sangria.

Square Views

There's a reason Salamanca is one of Madrid's most sought-after neighbourhoods. With its gourmet eateries, world-renowned museums and luxury boutiques lining the Golden Mile, the area offers something for everyone. Just on the cusp of this swanky postcode is this apartment. The size is ideal for couples and solo travellers, but the option of a single sofa bed keeps sleeping arrangements flexible. Netflix and a Playstation have rainy days covered, and although it's not the most exciting home, we like the design – particularly the colourful wallpaper in the bedroom.

Madrid Marigold

Immerse yourself in the cultural offerings and nightlife of Madrid with a stay at this bright and stylish apartment located in the heart of the Chueca district. Bathed in streams of light flooding in through the large windows, this place is a cosy and welcoming nest for those searching for a base while they enjoy all that this vibrant city has to offer. 

Lovingly decorated and boasting a comfy sofa, the living room invites you to relax and embrace the sunny Spanish vibes. While the space is compact it never feels cramped – there’s still plenty of room to enjoy delicious meals which you’ll be able to easily rustle up in the modern kitchen, and the three charming balconies are the ideal place for a morning coffee or sunset drinks.

The bedroom, along with its plush bed, guarantees a night of blissful sleep – wake up restored and ready for another day of exploring. 

Outside your front door, you’ll find yourself in a prime location for discovering all of the iconic spots, with most of the main sights within an easily walkable distance. 


The Light Is Coming

You’ll find this modern apartment in the lively Chueca barrio, surrounded by cosy cafes, no-fuss tapas bars and cosmopolitan restaurants. The bustling Gran Vía, famous for its shopping opportunities, is close by and you’re within walking distance of some of Madrid’s must-visit sights including the Royal Palace, Prado Museum and leafy Retiro Park. If you’re keen to explore further afield, Chueca metro station is just footsteps from your doorstep. 

Inside the home, whitewashed walls add a fresh feel while exposed brick and black accents add an industrial edge. The living space invites you to sit back and relax with your morning cup of coffee before coming together around the dining table for a continental breakfast. Head through to the bedrooms and you’ll find comfortable beds that make afternoon siestas ever so tempting. 

Flamenco Footwork

There’s a cool serenity to this home in Madrid’s lively Chueca neighbourhood with its blue and white living space and bohemian, Japanese-inspired decor. Mellow out on the sofa while listening to a vinyl record or catch up on work at the long desk in the forest green second bedroom. Carefully curated design details – like the master bedroom’s half-moon headboard – give the space a modern feel while the wicker and wood accents lend a peaceful feeling of nature to the proceedings. Our favourite spot, however, is the private balcony with its views over the city’s rooftops. Sit here with your morning coffee while catching some Spanish rays or take in breathtaking sunset views over a glass of Spanish wine. Outside of your home, your Chueca locale is packed with cosy sidewalk cafes, tapas bars, restaurants and a vibrant bar scene, as well as boutiques, and popular markets like San Antón (a ten-minute walk) and Plaza del Dos de Mayo (a four-minute walk). Elsewhere there’s plenty of retail therapy to enjoy along Gran Vía (a fifteen-minute walk) and both the Royal Palace of Madrid and El Retiro Park are walkable in twenty-four minutes. 


Blue Dusk

Earthy tones, comfy furnishing and big rooms – this apartment is a stylish choice for a couple or a solo traveller planning a longer than usual stay in the city. Set in a period building, you can expect tall ceilings and those quintessential double French doors, which open out to a traditional wrought-iron narrow balcony. The living room is bright and spacious, with a comfy sofa and a handy, bespoke desk area – perfect if you're here for work. Decorated with natural hues and bouquets of dried flowers, with the doors open to the street below, this place feels cool and relaxing. Elsewhere in the flat, there's a charming bedroom, a kitchen equipped with everything you might need and a shower room. And we love the dining nook just before you enter the living room. On the edge of the Justicia neighbourhood, here you'll be surrounded by neo-classical architecture and upscale boutiques. Walk to one of a handful of nearby museums or try out the nearby bistros and tapas bars. 

Pomander

You’ll find this stylish apartment steps away from the Plaza de Colon in Madrid's booming downtown district. It's a real gem, with a bright living area perfect for socialising, trendy and plush furnishings and spectacular city views that will be hard to beat. Light and bright, you couldn't ask for a better home-from-home while you're in town. Wake up to Spanish sun flooding through the windows, then make yourself a coffee and whip up breakfast in the sleek kitchen or better still, why not have a go at rustling up some Spanish cuisine? With two metro stations and multiple bus stops just a short walk away, getting around Madrid is a breeze. Spend the day strolling around the city, taking in the sights, before unwinding with a quick siesta in the comfy bedrooms. In the evenings, enjoy a night on the town – there is a wealth of eateries and bars on your doorstep to tickle your fancy. 

Soaring Scenes

With a fantastic address, just off the Paseo de la Castellana, this apartment has a wealth of attractions nearby. The upmarket districts of Salamanca, Chamberi and Justicia are all close, so you'll have plenty of fine restaurants, chic boutiques and art galleries to enjoy. With one of Madrid's main avenues on your doorstep, the slight downside is you will hear some street noise here, but it's easily fixed with some earplugs if you're a light sleeper. We have to say, we love the views over Plaza Villa de París from this home. The kitchen is well-equipped, so you can cook some homemade meals or let your host arrange a private chef to create some of your favourite tapas dishes.

Plaza París Haven

With a big and luminous living room that transforms into a home cinema, Lovefield is a great stay for those who like to strike a balance between spending their time sightseeing and relaxing at home. The neighbouring streets of Chueca are filled with great bars and restaurants, but they're also well-connected to the city centre. One of the bedrooms in Lovefield doesn't have a window, but otherwise, the design is well-thought-through and coherent.

Lovefield

This chic and attractive apartment has everything you might need for a comfortable city break. It’s located in Chueca, one of Madrid’s liveliest neighbourhoods, full of cafes, boutiques, and bars. Despite its central location, this is a peaceful home-from-home, ideal for unwinding after busy sightseeing days and evenings spent feasting on tapas. It’s bright and welcoming, flooded with light, and has been beautifully decorated in muted tones. Two guests will sleep on a sofa bed in the living room – if you’re hoping for more space, we’d recommend a maximum occupancy of two. 

The Bohemian Retreat

Sitting in the popular Chueca neighbourhood, this bright studio apartment is in an excellent location to explore the Spanish capital. Close to lots of shops, restaurants and cultural institutions, it’s a great option if you’re in Madrid to experience some of the vibrant city life. 

This home may be on the small side, but it certainly packs a punch. With a sleek kitchen and hotel-style bedroom, all your needs are taken care of. Your hosts have decorated it minimally but with a stylish hand – the highlight for us is the Scandi-inspired dining set. Look forward to retiring to the tucked-away bedroom nook after a busy day of landmark-hopping.

And speaking of landmarks, you won't have to travel far to see Barcelona's best. The beautifully-manicured El Retiro Park, complete with a rose garden and boating lake, is just a leisurely fifteen-minute stroll away. Walk through the triumphal Puerta de Alcalá to enter and enjoy a lazy afternoon in the gardens. From here, the world-famous Prado is within easy reach. Marvel at some of the country's best-known artworks before finding a traditional tapas bar nearby to while away the evening.
