Walking to Plaza Mayor or Palacio Real will be a breeze, but the nearby streets of Madrid's trendiest neighbourhood will have you stopping in art galleries and cosy bars along the way. This is a well-executed home with curated artwork, where special attention has been given to the details. It might not be the biggest home in our collection, but it has a pleasant, bohemian chic vibe that fits in perfectly in the spirit of Malasaña.

It’s not in pristine condition, as evidenced by the marks on the walls, but that’s an aesthetic consideration, and doesn’t make the home any less comfortable. The metro station in Lavapiés is close to the flat, and while the square outside is a little rough around the edges, there are several lively bars and restaurants.

This apartment is within walking distance of an array of attractions, such as Parque Madrid Rio, Casa de Campo, the Royal Palace and La Almudena Cathedral. Of course, there are plenty of dining options to discover in the area, too. The apartment has a desk if you need to catch up on emails and a well-equipped kitchen for making some tapas. We have to say, we love the main bedroom with its dressing room and en-suite. This home is a great choice whether you’re here for leisure or work.

With an excellent view of Lope de Vega, Blue Reverie is set against a typical Madrileño backdrop of terracotta townhouses. The streets surrounding this home are full of independent shoemakers, tapas bars and quirky cafes that characterise the dreamy neighbourhood of Las Letras. Although the design of this bright home is rather minimal, the wall art in the communal area will ignite your curiosity and connect you to fellow explorers of the Spanish Capital.

This bright, stylish apartment is a superb base for six in Madrid. It’s centrally located, right next to the Parque del Retiro – the city centre’s largest park. You’ll be in the heart of the so-called tapa mile, the neighbourhood with the highest concentration of high-end cuisine in Madrid. When you’re not out seeing the sights or dining in style, you’ll be grateful to have such a marvellous home-from-home. One of the bedrooms is set up with a sofa bed and also has a desk, so is ideal for those working during their stay. 

Parkside Haven

A stylish blend of rustic and modern, this characterful apartment just a three-minute stroll from Puerta del Sol puts you in a prime position to explore Madrid’s cultural and historic centre. 
 
Inside, exposed beam ceilings, wood floors and colourful decor set a welcoming scene in the open-plan living area. The dining table is perfectly set up here to catch the rays pouring through the glass, over a hearty breakfast before a day of sightseeing, or over a bottle of Spanish red for a celebratory evening meal.
 
The pared-back bedroom is a comfortable space you’ll have no trouble falling asleep in, and in the morning, the bathroom’s rainfall shower is sure to get your day off on the right. 
 
When you’re ready to venture out for a day of fun, you’ll find plenty to see and do within easy walking distance. Make your way to nearby Puerta del Sol, or head to Plaza Mayor – one of the city’s most famous squares lined with restaurants. You’re also a nine-minute walk from bustling Gran Vía, a fifteen-minute stroll from the Royal Palace of Madrid, while pretty El Retiro Park is twenty minutes away on foot.

Although it offers more of a mixture of modern and classical styles than a clear direction, this home has a mid-Century Hollywood feel to it. It's not the most typical Spanish home, but each of the rooms is designed around a coherent theme and colour scheme. Apart from the light and space – both abundant – this home has a lovely collection of lamps in all shapes and sizes.
