The most remarkable thing about Espinas is the quiet. Despite having three balconies, and being in the middle of Lavapiés, the street it looks onto is actually fairly calm. The building is old, and a lot of the original structure features prominently in the flat, which has been designed to complement the space, rather than dominate it. There is some pretty loud wallpaper though, which stops the design from falling into the dreaded ‘neutral’ category.


Espinas

Set within the heart of Madrid, this apartment is an ideal base for those looking to drop off their suitcases and head out to explore. It's a studio, so space is limited. We think it's best for couples or solo travellers, though a sofa bed could sleep an additional guest if needed. Locally, indulge in some tasty tapas, soak up some culture at the Prado Museum, or head to Plaza Mayor or Puerta del Sol for a true taste of Madrid. 

Sunflower's Embrace

This bright and welcoming apartment is a comfortable and quiet oasis in the heart of Lavapiés, one of Madrid’s best-loved neighbourhoods. From this convenient base, you’re within easy reach of designer shops, bars, markets and theatres, in addition to some of the city’s most popular tourist spots – Plaza Mayor is only a fifteen-minute walk. Lavapiés metro station is also a short walk away. Ideal for those working during their stay, there are two desks at this home. 


My Way

Twenty minutes on foot from Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, and El Retiro Park, this apartment is well-placed to explore. Many shops, restaurants, and metro stations are nearby, as well as some of Madrid's most famous markets. When you're not sightseeing, this central home is practical and comfortable. We love the exposed brick and stone walls, though it does mean it's a little dark. The kitchen is the ideal size to rustle up lighter fare, but we suspect you'd prefer dining out.

It can be difficult to find accommodation suited to larger groups in the heart of the city, but this smart apartment will tick all the boxes. With plenty of space and flexible sleeping options, this central home is the perfect place to spend some quality time with your guests between your sightseeing excursions. 

You'll love the spacious living area, with double-height ceilings and huge windows that flood the space with natural light. The bike sculptures and selection of houseplants add some quirkiness, while the open-plan layout is perfect for socialising. Uncork a bottle of delicious Spanish wine, and put together some tasty tapas dishes to share at the stylish dining bench. The metro station in Lavapiés is close to the flat, and while the square outside is a little rough around the edges, there are several lively bars and restaurants.

This charming apartment in Lavapiés is an ideal choice for those who want to spend their time exploring the very best of Madrid’s sights. Conveniently, Antón Martín Market, Plaza Mayor and this neighbourhood’s quaint boutiques are on your doorstep, while Lavapiés metro station is a short walk away.
