If you want to be in the heart of Playa del Inglés, then this home could be for you. The Yumbo Centre, with its LGBT bars, clubs, restaurants, and supermarkets, is just 250 metres away. The beach, on the other hand, is 950 metres away. Or you could take a dip in this home's private above-ground plunge pool (there's a fee if you want it heated). There's a larger communal pool in the development, too, if you want to swim some lengths. This home is ideal for friends or a family looking for a central location. 

The Brightest Day

Small but utterly charming, this tiny apricot-coloured villa on the coast of Gran Carnia is perfect for a family getaway or couples retreat. Inside, the bright and modern interior is a haven from the sun. Rustle up a meal in the sleek kitchen, snooze in the comfortable bedrooms and relax in the living area with a film after a long day. But the real draw is the tiny garden. It may be pocket-sized, but it packs a punch – soak your troubles away in the hot tub, fire up the barbecue for an alfresco feast or sprawl out in the sunshine on the lounge chairs. There's even a balcony off the master bedroom where you can sip wine and watch the ocean waves roll in. When you need to cool off, take a dip in the shared swimming pool or grab your beach gear and hit the sand – Playa del Inglés is a seven-minute walk away. A vast array of bars, restaurants and shops are also within easy reach, so when you don't feel like cooking, you'll have plenty of options. 

Apricot Waves

Savour the Atlantic views from this apartment in cosmopolitan Playa del Ingles. Relax on the enclosed sun terrace and take in the vistas over lunch with a glass of Canarian wine. Later, head for a dip in the shared pool, then have a refreshing outside shower and relax on the sun loungers. Inside, this modern apartment has a beach vibe with its whites, blues, and starfish embellished cushions, and it's no wonder, as Playa del Ingles Beach is just 150 yards from this stylish home. The amazing dunes of Maspalomas are a must-see – it's a thirty-minute walk or seven-minute drive. The Kasbah Shopping Center, on the other hand, is a five-minute walk away, while the LGTBI friendly Yumbo Centre, with its bars, cafes and restaurants, is just under a twenty-minute walk.

Atlantic Waves

Staring straight out to sea from this homely abode, you'll feel on top of the world. Located in sunny Maspalomas, the beachside villa is ideal for groups of friends or large families who are craving time by the coast in a comfortable, contemporary setting. 

The sleek living area faces the Atlantic, providing a spectacular vista through floor-to-ceiling windows. If you want an even closer look, take a pitcher of sangria out onto the terrace and settle into the plush seating. When the heat gets too much, make a splash in the private swimming pool and you'll cool down in no time.

Admire the sand dunes at Playa de Maspalomas, just one minute from your front door, and travel along the coastline to see the full range of beautiful beaches. There's also a golf course a six-minute drive away and an Aqualand slightly further which you'll be thankful for if travelling with kids.

Steps to Shore

Prepare to have your mind blown at this contemporary beach pad with the most magnificent panoramas of Maspalomas Dunes we ever did see from a private rooftop terrace.

You could easily while away a whole day at this immaculate home, hopping between that top-floor terrace with an outdoor shower to cool off and downstairs on the shady veranda for lazy alfresco breakfasts and post-lunch siestas. 

But when the sea finally calls, you won't have far to go. You've direct access to the Maspalomas Beach promenade and its silky golden sands (one hundred metres from your door, to be precise) – meaning you can nip back for a cool drink or nibbles whenever you please. Or mosey over to Maspalomas' seafront cafes and restaurants within walking distance to grab a bite to eat. Just be sure to head home for sunset – the views are out of this world way up high on the terrace.

When it's finally time to lay your heads, there's room for all ten of you to spill out here. A great option for friends or extended family sharing, the five bedrooms are spaced apart across two floors and all offer en-suite bathrooms to give guests that extra privacy. We'll leave you to decide though who lucks out on that enormous main suite bringing hacienda vibes and a sea view to boot.

Casa on the Dunes

This sparkling villa is tailor-made for large families or groups of friends looking for private luxury in rural Gran Canaria. Blessed with tranquility and boasting a fun-filled games room, it has the vibe of a five-star hotel that's reserved just for you. 

A huge open-plan living space – decorated in white walls and with tinges of colour on the furniture – is perfect for spending time as one group. However, when the sun sets on the terracotta tiles, you probably want to spend time outdoors. 

The huge terrace is adorned by intimate seating areas, comfy sun beds and, of course, the glistening pool. Every member of the group can fit in the pool, making it an idyllic spot for games of volleyball or water polo. Continuing the competitive side, get the rallies going during table tennis or practice your shooing at table football. 

Come the peace of the evening, there are two cute dining tables on the terrace, perfect for sharing tapas and a bottle of Cava. If you wanted to get out and discover the island, the charming restaurants and bars of Maspalomas are just a short drive away.

Yellow Stars

With its textured walls, honey-coloured shutters and shingled roof, this charming casa was made for laidback holidays. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that it’s opposite a ten-kilometre stretch of sandy coastline either. The interior is resolutely modern, with white walls, shiny fittings and minimalist decorations. But it’s outside where the magic happens. In your wraparound garden, you’ll find multiple seating areas, including an elegant white-and-grey, shaded patio, sun loungers, a private pool, a beautiful stone grill and the cherry on top – a wet bar for experimental cocktail evenings as the sun goes down. 

And we aren’t quite finished yet – if you’re wondering why a single-storey home has a staircase to the side, it’s because you’ll find a hidden terrace up on the roof, where you can laze in the sunshine and look out to the beach to watch the waves roll in. When you aren’t bobbing over the currents in the warm waters – the ocean temperature fluctuates from 20-24 degrees year-round – head to the complex’s shared pool to rinse off the sea salt and mingle with the neighbours.

Stucco Señorita

Situated in one of the best areas of Playa del Inglés, just a few steps from the Yumbo Shopping Centre, restaurants, and the beach. It is located in a very quiet holiday complex, has quality materials and finishes and an unbeatable distribution. It has a terrace with views, two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a communal swimming pool. The house, refurbished in 2023, with a modern style, is distributed as follows: Entering the house, we find the living room-kitchen. On one side there is a bathroom with shower and the 2 bedrooms. On the other side of the accommodation, we find the living room and the terrace, which has an outdoor chair and dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped, with dishwasher and kitchen utensils. There is free high-speed wifi in all rooms and air conditioning in the lounge."

Oceanside Bliss

Located close to Gran Canaria's southernmost tip, this Playa del Inglés villa places you within reach of a gorgeous stretch of sandy beach and the dunes at Dunas de Maspalomas. There are a few quirks here – the ensuite is entirely visible from the main bedroom, and there's a TV room that juts out into the terrace, though this at least offers a nice spot to stay close to the sun lovers outside when you need some shade. It's the terrace that sold this home to us – though it's on the small side, the walls ensure privacy as you enjoy a dip in the private pool or dine alfresco in the sun.
