Right on the beachfront at La Canteras, this home has a fabulous spot. Take in the fantastic Atlantic and La Canteras Beach views from this home’s sunny and dazzling whitewashed terrace. You can even spot Mount Teide in Tenerife in the distance. We love this outdoor space, it's ideal for an alfresco breakfast (whizz up a drink in the juicer to accompany some churros). Later, do some sunbathing on the sun loungers. Inside, there are more of those fabulous vistas through the large sliding doors.

In the afternoon, perhaps head to La Canteras  Beach, under a minute stroll away. It’s one of the best urban beaches in the world, and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants to sample in the vicinity too. Or, for a bit of culture, Las Palmas Cathedral is a ten-minute ride away. It’s a couple of minutes more to Casa-Museo de Colón, which documents Columbus’ voyages. 


Somewhere on a Beach

Start your mornings at this Gran Canaria duplex with a café con leche on the balcony that is attached to the main bedroom, offering great views both day and night. Soak up some sunshine on the loungers on your private terrace or sit under the shade of the awning with a great holiday read. Then, why not take a dip in the complex’s swimming pool, which even has a children’s pool for your little ones?  

Spend days on the sandy beach – which can be reached in just twenty-one minutes on foot – or if you’re more adventurous, then rent a surfboard and hit the waves. Play a round of golf – a five-minute drive away, or keep your eyes on the horizon and go dolphin and whale watching – reachable within eight minutes by car.

In the evening, you could treat yourself to a massage, before unwinding in the soothing bubbles of your private hot tub, overlooking the pool below. Then, take advantage of the home’s barbecue and cook some delicious grilled tapas for dinner. 

Sol & Sand

You'll find this stylish flat just seven minutes on foot from the famous Las Canteras Beach. Whether you fancy sunbathing all day, swimming in the pristine waters or trying your hand at surfing and snorkelling, it's perfectly positioned for a day by the seaside. 

After a dip in the ocean, stroll along the waterfront promenade packed full of boutique shops and delicious eateries and grab an ice cream or papas arrugadas. If you're in the mood to cook, swing by Mercado del Puerto (a six-minute stroll away) and pick up some fresh parrotfish, local cheese and a bottle of vino. 

Head back to your Las Palmas pad and rustle up a dinner to remember in the sleek kitchen. As home chefs get down to business, others can wind down with a glass of wine or a refreshing lemonade in the internal courtyard and plan the next's days adventures. When it's time to tuck in, gather around the white dining table for tasty tapas, sweet sangria and good conversation. Let the Tide Roll

In the vibrant resort town of Maspalomas, this family-sized villa puts golf courses, sand dune beaches and a shopping mall on your doorstep. It’s a two-minute drive to the nearest golf course and a five-minute drive to the dunes of Maspalomas Beach (or half-hour walk if you fancy). 

Once you’ve had your fill of the Saharan-style landscape, head back to this plush villa to cool off in the private swimming pool. Loungers sit on the astroturf out here and there’s outdoor dining around the corner, on the covered patio. Open up the glass doors to the living room, and blend indoors with outdoors. Mustard-yellow sofas and ink-black artworks create a stylish seating area, and the kitchen just behind has everything you need for self-catering. If you’re not dining outside (there’s a gas grill out here too) then you can have a quick meal at the sleek, black breakfast bar. Overlooking the picturesque and family-friendly fishing village of Puerto de Mogán and set just metres from its 200m-long beach, this top floor apartment enjoys an enviable location in one of the sunniest spots on Earth. 

With an average of 320 days of sun per year, this tranquil southern section of the Gran Canaria coast as good as guarantees great weather, meaning you're free to make the most of the stunning rooftop terrace, soak up some rays on the nearby beach, and explore the nearby canals – the source of the town's nickname, 'Venice of the Canaries'.

Elsewhere, the island has plenty of natural wonders to discover, including the stunning Maspalomas dunes (26km) and the jaw-dropping mountain landscapes that lead towards Pico de las Nieves (45km), while you only need to travel a short distance from shore to find pods of dolphins and whales that call these waters home.

It’s in the south of Gran Canaria, within walking distance of Maspalomas’ other-worldly sand dunes and there are restaurants and bars on the doorstep. Guests here have access to a shared swimming pool – the perfect tonic to the suntrap of a private rooftop terrace. The open living, kitchen and dining room is awash with light thanks to conservatory-style glass which is just what you want on sunny Gran Canaria. For those working remotely, one of the bedrooms has a dedicated laptop desk.
