This charming 16th-century finca has been completely renovated into a relaxing holiday home. It’s situated between Pollensa and Puerta Pollensa in Sierra de Tramuntana, so you’ll have mountain views while also being close to beaches, restaurants, and markets. The finca used to be an oil mill and that historic charm has been retained – think classic stone walls and wooden beams. There’s a delightful terrace with a pergola, a great spot for alfresco dining, in addition to a heated swimming pool, where we’d be spending most of our time. You can also look forward to working up a sweat playing petanque and table tennis.

It’s worth noting the decor is a little dated in parts, but this is a great option for those in search of peace, privacy and stunning scenery.

Best of all, it sits in an elevated position and boasts glorious views of Pollensa Bay and the countryside. The outside space – framed by palm trees – is the best place to admire the views, though they can also be admired inside the modern, bright villa. We love the outside lounge area – it’s the perfect spot for pre-dinner cocktails as the sun is setting.

Mallorca’s northern coast offers fantastic beaches and picturesque landscapes, and this villa situated in Pollença, just moments away from the beach, is a good base from which to experience it all. We recommend a car to make the most of your exploring, however, there’s also a fairly good public transport system easily accessible from the home. The interior might come across as slightly dated to some, but with two living rooms and plenty of outdoor space, we think this home is still a good find. 

Mallorca Sunsets 

Situated just 250 metres from the sandy beach and pedestrian promenade of Port de Pollença, this recently refurbished single-story townhouse has a great location. Other attractions nearby include Alcúdia and Cala San Vicenç, both fifteen minutes by car. You don’t have to go anywhere for a cooling dip though, this home has a walled courtyard with a private pool and an adjacent shaded dining terrace perfect for barbecues. We love that all the bedrooms have direct access to the terrace too.

Newly built and so close to the sea you'll barely have time to dry on the less-than-a-minute walk back, this villa is an ideal combination of excellent location and comfort. Plenty of bathrooms and places to relax mean you and your guests won't be on top of each other, and having several places to dine makes up for the dining tables being a little too short for a full house. If you prefer to swim in privacy, the large pool is surrounded by high walls, while the front-facing balcony is perfect for enjoying a sunset view each night over tapas.
