If you're paying a visit to Seville and looking for a beautiful and unique home that will add to the experience, this probably ain't it. However, solo travellers or couples who are sure that they'll be spending most of their time exploring the city and only want a solid base to return to late at night will be more than happy with this option.

The design is certainly simple, but it's been executed rather well. Cleansingly white walls lend an innate sense of brightness, as does the minimalist kitchen – even if it's a little short on surface space and an oven. Although parts of it, like the bathroom, feel super-sleek, you can also see that some of the building's historic features have been retained during recent renovations, such as the window frames and wooden beams.

One thing that can't be quibbled with is just how good the location is. The leafy Jardines de Murillo is all of a minute's walk away, while the cathedral only takes five minutes to reach on foot. The famous Mushrooms of Seville are less than a quarter of an hour away, too.

This attractive apartment is perfectly located in the heart of Seville. Most of the city’s main attractions are within easy walking distance, including the magnificent cathedral and La Giralda. There are countless restaurants, chic bars, and shops nearby – this home is as convenient as it is comfortable. The apartment is equipped with everything you might need for a city break, including a kitchen and dining area. At full occupancy, two guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living space, but there’s still plenty of space.

With views of La Giralda, this apartment places you right in the heart of historic Seville. From here, you'll be just a short walk from the Catedral de Sevilla and the Royal Alcázar, with plenty of trendy eateries and wine bars on your doorstep. At capacity, one person will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living area, although you won’t find enough space for five around the dining table. And, if you're catching up on work while you're away, there's a study desk area in the twin bedroom. But the real standout of this home is having the private terrace, complete with stylish chairs and an outside dining area.

Walking into this Sevilla home, you might feel a rush of creativity given how artistically this space has been decorated. The gallery wall, for one, is a celebration of black and white that’s very nicely contrasted by the canary yellows and bright oranges found around the rest of the room. Spend your time on the sofa, letting art and coffee fuel your own creative projects – maybe you start that short story you’ve been dreaming of, or perhaps you take to the sketch book as an outlet. 

Throw the windows open to let the Mediterranean goodness in on a breeze as you share tapas at the breakfast bar and snuggle up together on the sofa for a movie when you’re staying in to relax. 

Don’t be surprised, however, if the streets of Seville call out to you. Why not embrace it and drink in the sunshine as you weave your way to the Plaza de Toros de la Real Maestranza – only minutes away – or visit the beautiful Seville Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Accessed by a pretty tiled courtyard surrounded by a verandah, the interior benefits from high coffered ceilings, tall windows and smart parquet flooring, while there's a collection of chic furnishings, vibrant artworks and eye-catching lighting that all score well in the style stakes. Although there's an innate sense of history inside, much of the home leans on the contemporary side, especially the glossy kitchen and bathrooms.

As well as the aforementioned courtyard, guests can also make the most of the Andalusian summer up on the private terrace complete with a view of the city's rooftops and uninterrupted skyline. Alternatively, you can explore the leafy expanse of Jardines de Murillo, just over five minutes' walk away. This is just one of a huge amount of attractions that can be easily reached from the home on foot, including the ruins of a Roman temple just around the corner.

The star attraction here is the central location, being just a short walk from Catedral de Sevilla, the Royal Alcázar, and the Torre del Oro. While the kitchen is on the smaller side, you'll also find a variety of tapas bars and restaurants on your doorstep. Inside, it's a sleek design with a winding staircase leading to the twin bedroom. There's also a double sofa bed, although dining space is limited so we recommend the apartment for two guests.

A Look Back

What a lovely private roof terrace this apartment in Seville has. It can only be accessed, though, via the top-floor bedroom, so whoever has this room may need to keep it tidy. Another thing to note here is if you're a group of five, one guest will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living space. Another highlight of this home is its location in Seville's historical heart. Seville Cathedral and the Real Alcázar of Seville are 500 metres away, and many shops, restaurants and bars are on your doorstep.

As you'll be in such a central spot here, there is little need to step foot on public transport, as you'll be within walking distance from most of Seville's best attractions, including an abundance of quality shops, bars and restaurants.

Spend warm afternoons on your terrace snoozing in the hammock or kicking back on the rattan couch with an iced coffee in hand. 

When you’re ready to explore, stroll over to Seville Cathedral by way of the Plaza del Triunfo, then relax with a small picnic in the landscaped Jardines de Murillo. In the evening, treat yourself to a glass or two of sangria in an old-school taberna before catching a rousing dance performance at the Museo Del Baile Flamenco, just a ten-minute walk from your doorstep.

This modern apartment piqued our interest with its stylish interiors, ample-sized living spaces and excellent location. We think it's a fantastic place to come home to after an afternoon exploring Seville. Kick off your shoes and make yourself comfortable on the cushy sofas (a glass of Cava, optional), then when you're feeling peckish, rustle up tapas and other delicious dishes in the jade green kitchen. All the creature comforts are accounted for – Nespresso machine, rainfall shower, smart TV – but our favourite part is the window overlooking La Giralda bell tower. With views like that, you can't help but love this cosy hideaway.

Best of all, you'll find this flat in the historic city centre, next to the Cathedral of Seville. From this spot, sightseeing is easy – the Royal Alcázar is right down the street, Maestranza bullring is walkable in five minutes and Plaza de España is just fifteen minutes on foot. A countless array of bars, independent shops and mouth-watering restaurants are all nearby – as far as locales go, you couldn't ask for better.
