Once an old winery, now a charming home, this villa in the heart of old Pézenas is ideally located for guests who want to explore the town's bustling atmosphere. The place is a short walk from numerous shops, restaurants, and museums and a thirty-minute drive from Marseillan Plage Beach. Inside the abode are four air-conditioned bedrooms, including the main sleeping quarters with an en-suite bathroom. Outside, you’ll find a heated swimming pool, a terrace for dining, and a seating area for enjoying a sundowner or two.

The Little Bird

Then, as you approach the little agricultural village, a lovely country road rolls over a hill and comes to the entrance, you begin your journey down the long, private drive. Nothing prepares you for the first glimpse of this enchanting château. The estate consists of a magnificent 19th-century château, an adjoining 16th-century farm, two separate cottages, and a magnificent 12th-century chapel, making it a historical treat.

Spend your days gazing out the balcony at the 360-degree views of stunning countryside and the Pyrénées beyond, and even get a cup of coffee to get your day started perfectly. This home has an abundance of options for keeping you entertained throughout your stay, from racing down the zip line for an adrenaline rush to boating along the little lake for a relaxing day drifting along, lured by your favourite book. Back at the house, enlist the assistance of a private chef to enjoy alfresco meals as glasses are raised and jokes abound.

It is absolutely tranquil to be placed in six hectares of private gardens, yet you get the best of all worlds since numerous places are only a short drive away. Pamiers is only a fifteen-minute drive away, and you must visit the vibrant Saturday market before stopping at a bakery for scrummy delicacies.


Pastel Lilies

This rustic French home comes with panoramic views of the Pyrenees and all the essentials for a relaxing countryside break. There’s an outdoor pool for morning swims, a barbecue for alfresco meals, and a pool house for lounging outdoors. If you like exploring, you’ll find cycling routes, walking trails, and vineyards close by. The medieval village of Caunes-Minervois is just a five-minute drive away, while Carcassonne and Minerve are about thirty minutes from your door. After a day of exploring, retreat to your countryside home for a glass of local wine on the terrace as the sun goes down.

Whilst the wood-panelled double bedroom is brought to life with quirky design touches and exudes a uniquely alpine charm, the kitchen/living area provides the perfect place to join as a group and spend some quality time together. Indeed, the close quarters, unfussy interior, and lack of extravagant amenities mean that this home is all about two simple pleasures – reconnecting with loved ones and realigning yourself with nature.

Amble through the town of Les Angles, stopping for a bite in one of its authentic restaurants – which, thanks to its positioning close to the border, consists of a delicious blend of French and Spanish flavours packed into hearty fare for mountainous terrain. Or, why not treat yourself to an afternoon at the Angléo Spa, just 600 metres away from the apartment? 

If you fancy getting out of town and into some of the spectacular scenery that surrounds you, then take the journey of just under four kilometres to the beautiful Lake Matemale – which is known for its range of summertime watersports as well as fantastic hiking around its perimeter.

The Finch's Nest

Only a five-minute stroll from the city centre of Toulouse, this modern apartment in the Saint Aubin district is a convenient base for those looking to soak up the city's attractions with ease. Tucked between Toulouse and Montpellier, this southern home invites you to slow down and live like the French do, with ease and style. 

Bed of Roses

This villa was once a wine-maker’s house, nestled amongst the overflowing vineyards of the Languedoc region. Today, it’s the perfect holiday destination for wine connoisseurs and non-drinkers alike. Surrounded by a charming village and spacious gardens, this is a true escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Choose to indulge in a glass of red as you challenge your guests to a round of pool, sip a refreshing white after a dip in the L-shaped swimming pool, or simply retain a clear head as you soak up an atmosphere so special you’ll want to bottle it. 


The Echantillon

Yes, this home in the middle of the Tarn countryside dates back to the 19th century and is surrounded by 32 hectares of idyllic meadows, but this isn't the rustic getaway you might assume from first impression. How could it be so when the list of amenities at guests' disposal is so impressive?

Given the rather enviable climate that this corner of South France enjoys, you probably won't be surprised to learn that many of these lie outside. The first one that's likely to grab your attention is the swimming pool, but wander around a bit more and you'll discover everything from a sauna and six-person Jacuzzi to a tennis court and bar in the poolhouse for afterwards.

The home itself still retains an air of grandeur – all high ceilings, parquet floors and chandeliers. There are plenty of large communal spaces in which to gather together, but a fair few more private spots to escape the group for a peaceful moment. Chief among them is the rather elegant freestanding tub in the master bathroom.

One thing you'll quickly appreciate here is just how tranquil the locale is, with even the nearest village sitting 6km away. The surrounding area is peppered with charming towns and scenic hillside walking routes, while Toulouse is only 55km away, too.



Monsieur of the Manor

Nestled away in the mountain village of Les Angles with a superb view of Lake Matemale, this idyllic chalet has a long list of ways to keep you warm and toasty, even at the height of winter.

The most obvious option is to hunker down among the comfy throws in the living room next to the contemporarily styled fireplace – especially as some of the best views are to be had out through the huge window in this space – but guests also benefit from both a private sauna and a hot tub out on the terrace.

There's something ultra-cosy and homely about the design, which embraces all the traditional features you might expect to see in a home such as this – we're talking an abundance of wood, soft lighting and a few antler-themed decorative items. That being said, it's modern where it matters, particularly the sleek black kitchen and bathrooms.

During the warmer months, there's a balcony terrace on which you can sit out and survey the majestic scenery, as well as another on the ground level. The aforementioned lake that you can spot in the distance is only 4km away, ready and waiting for walks and watersports. When snowfall covers the slopes, however, there's a shuttle that takes you up to the slopes a mere 100 metres from the front door.

Warmth & Affection

Located in Toulouse's desirable Les Chalets neighbourhood, this lovely apartment practically sparkles. Cloaked in dazzling white and comforting sandy tones, it's an aesthetically beautiful place to stay. And with a fantastic location, it ticks all of the boxes for style, comfort, and convenience. 

Mornings here are particularly lovely, as the sunlight beams through the large windows. Open up the windows, sit on the cosy chair, and watch the world go by while enjoying a nice, hot cup of coffee. Outside the apartment, the terracotta buildings are a stark contrast to the apartment's dazzling white interior. Being in the Les Chalets, you're a short, sunny walk from the city centre, and along the way, you'll be in awe of the gorgeous architecture and quaint, cobbled streets. 

After a day of exploring the city's museums, galleries, historical sights, and shops, head to Pont Neuf to watch the sun set over the pink city, casting an ethereal dusky light on the canal. To keep the romance going, find a charming restaurant to spend the evening, or make your way home for a cosy night on the plush sofa. 

Fondness of Marble

Located in the Borderouge neighbourhood just outside Toulouse’s centre, this stylish apartment offers a comfortable base from which to explore the city away from the tourist crowds. 

Inside, tiled floors, an open-plan living area and cool, contemporary decor set an instantly inviting scene. Slide open the glass doors here to step out onto a private balcony – this is the perfect spot to indulge in some fresh coffee and croissants first thing each morning or a glass of French wine in the evenings as the sun sets over the surrounding rooftops. When it comes to sightseeing, you’ve got a plethora of bakeries and restaurants, as well as a cinema within 50 metres of your home, while a quick drive or a trip by Metro – the nearest stop is 10 metres away – will take you into Toulouse’s buzzing centre.
