As you travel, you might notice a rather large pool (all yours) where you can practise your backstroke, work on your tan, or walk right past it on your morning stroll across the estate. Depending on how you feel, you can take your meals in the regal dining room, which will involve dressing up appropriately, or you can go the informal route, dining alfresco in the gardens. There are simply so many things to do in this home, from admiring the antiques, playing tennis in the courts, watching period dramas in the appropriate setting, or even going down to the nearby sandy beach. For day trips, we recommend that you head off to see Mont St Michel, which is easily accessible via the motorway, as is the Bayeux Tapestry.

Despite its grandeur, The History Book will feel like home thanks to the thoughtful staff and warm atmosphere.

This is a modern, cosy 4-room property located in the residential district of Bretteville sur Ay, just 150m away from the beach. The house can accommodate up to 6 guests and features modern furnishings. The living/dining room is equipped with satellite TV and has direct access to the terrace. There is a fully equipped open kitchen with a small dining table that leads out to the garden. The upper floor has two bedrooms with sloping ceilings and rooflight, one with a French bed (160 cm) and another with two beds. There is also an open gallery on this floor. The house comes with a washing machine, dryer, children's high chair and baby cot. Guests can enjoy the outdoor space on the terrace which comes equipped with terrace furniture, portable barbecue and deck chairs. One pet/dog is allowed per stay.
