Access to the home is via a private lane near Princes Gate, meaning that it's a secluded spot where you can truly relax. Inside, the home is the perfect blend of old and new, where traditional touches meet modern convenience – enjoy underfloor heating and state-of-the-art kitchen appliances alongside gorgeous period details. Outside, you'll find a mixture of formal gardens and private woodland to explore. There are plenty of adventures to be had here, but you simply must explore some of the gorgeous Welsh countryside too. Pembrokeshire National Park is right on your doorstep, where you can hike, cycle, or even pony trek through the stunning landscapes. The pretty market town of Narberth is a five-minute drive away, and Telpyn Beach is just over ten minutes away by car. And, when you return home after a busy day, the outdoor hot tub is waiting for you – it's the ideal way to relax under the stars. 

Pembroke Peace

Only a two-minute walk from the award-winning South Beach, this home is primely located for a visit to Tenby. Offering spectacular views of South Beach all the way towards Caldey Island, this luxury apartment has an open-plan living area at its heart. Unwind in the large sitting area while the chef of the group enjoys plenty of counter space in the kitchen. Large French doors open up to the terrace where you can capture stunning panoramic coastal views while soaking in the luxurious hot tub. Each of the bedrooms also have doors that open onto the terrace overlooking the ocean and nearby golf course, where you can get a few swings in when you've clocked in more than enough beach time.

Down by the Seaside

Gather up all your favourite people for a seaside holiday at this stylish cottage, set right in the heart of Saundersfoot village and just a seven-minute walk from the beach. 

This is a home to enjoy whatever the British weather throws at you. In the winter months, luxuriate in the vast sunroom beneath a gabled roof and soak up the panoramic views reaching the sea. Come summertime, slide open the bi-fold doors and let the light lure you out onto the deck. Split your time between the hot tub and loungers as the kids run off some energy on the lawns.

When you work up an appetite, prepare a feast in the modern kitchen, fire up the gas barbecue, or take a seven-minute stroll down to the waterfront for some fresh seafood. With its shimmering Blue Flag beach and quaint harbour delivering oodles of seaside charm, it’s guaranteed to be an afternoon well-spent. 

For a change of scene, Tenby is just a nine-minute drive away, or hop on a boat trip to explore the wild Pembrokeshire coastline. For those who feel up to a hefty walk, the 186-mile Pembrokeshire Coast Path is right on your doorstep. 

Lazy Hazy Days

The open-plan living area is readymade for sociable meals and relaxing evenings. And the main bedroom boasts views of the countryside. The coast isn’t too far away either, with sandy Telpyn Beach a ten-minute drive. And if you want to explore the area’s tourist towns, picturesque Saudersfoot and popular Tenby are both less than half an hour away.

Country Cottage Bliss

You’ll find this quaint blue and white cottage in the heart of Tenby, a mere five-minute stroll from the breezy swathes of North Beach. Inside, it’s effortlessly stylish yet supremely comfortable with a wood-burning stove in the living room and a convivial kitchen made for family life. There’s a boot room that ensures a no-stress entrance for muddy wellies and three quiet bedrooms that guarantee a restful night’s sleep. 

Outside, the enclosed garden with decking area is the perfect place for barbecues on sunny afternoons. Take advantage of the glorious weather and follow the Pembrokeshire Coast Path to Saundersfoot or mosey into town to get your culture fix at Tenby Museum and Art Gallery. As dusk starts to fall, pick up a bag of golden fish and chips to be enjoyed by the harbour, less than a fifteen-minute walk from your doorstep.

Daisy Cottage

Harbor Dream

Overlooking Tenby's South Beach, this apartment on the lower-ground floor of a handsome yellow building is ideal for those who want to be able to go from their front door to the seaside in a matter of seconds, rather than minutes.

Aside from this proximity to the sea, we found lots else to like about the home. The design is pared-back and sophisticated, with parquet floors, white walls and a selection of chic furnishings creating the relaxed ambience of a high-end hotel's lobby. The baby-blue kitchen is both super-sleek and big enough for cooking up hearty meals, while there's also a private courtyard outside just in case the weather's nice enough to dine alfresco.

If that's the case, there's plenty to see and do in this south Welsh idyll. Tenby Castle is only ten minutes' walk up the coast, as is the town's Museum and Art Gallery. This area by the North Beach is also where you can catch a ferry to Caldey Island, on which you can visit the monastery and spot some of the diverse wildlife.

 

Master Draughtsman

Situated in the heart of Saundersfoot, this apartment’s enviable location is perfect for a family seaside getaway. Compact and cosy, the bedrooms, in particular, are a bit of a squeeze, but it has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The second bedroom is short on space when sleeping four – having said that, it’s ideal for families with young children. Getting ready in the mornings may take a while with one bathroom, but that’ll soon be forgotten once you step onto the golden sands of nearby Saundersfoot beach.

Salt Water Sonata

If being close to the ocean is your priority, this home delivers in spades. Not only is this apartment situated directly across from Tenby's North Beach, but the private patio has breathtaking views of the harbour and beyond. Morning, noon or night, there's no better spot to sit and relax, listening to the crash of the waves, observing the boats and watching the sun sink over the water. It's pure bliss, as far as we're concerned, and it's made even better by the sleek interior awaiting you in the living area. There are fun nautical elements dotted about, yet even with the seaside motif, the design never feels passe. In fact, we think the whole thing is rather smart, with a dark blue kitchen, luxe rainfall showers in the glossy bathrooms and even a wine fridge for your bottles of bubbly. When you're not at home soaking up the view or lounging on the sofa, spend your time wandering through Tenby's walled centre, admiring the colourful houses, browsing the local boutiques and dining at the many delicious eateries. And with five beaches to tickle your fancy, you'll have plenty of options when it comes to sprawling in the sand. Our favourite is Castle Beach, a five-minute walk away.

The Sweetness of Water

For family holidays in Wales, you could hardly ask for a better place than this Grade II listed home. Set across four floors, it boasts lovely modern design, seamlessly blending with the home’s original features. With two living rooms and a separate games room, there’s more than enough space for everyone to kick back and get comfy, and there’s also a small courtyard terrace for alfresco meals and morning coffee in the sun. You’ll be just moments away from the town’s centre and the sandy beaches – if you do arrive by car, the host offers two free spaces at the nearby public parking. 

The Cottage on the Coast

As you look around this home, it becomes clear very quickly that it has been designed to make the most of the beautiful coastal scenery in which this part of south Wales really specialises. In the living room, huge bi-fold doors open up to Juliet balconies that gaze out over Tenby's South Beach, while in the bedrooms there are further balconies, only this time with a view of Caldy Island. With such glorious panoramas, you could be forgiven for not really paying the interior much attention, but when you do get around to it, you'll find a modern space that's simple but effective — we're fans of the minimalist white kitchen, in particular. As you can probably imagine when looking out the window, the beach isn't too far away — just five minutes' walk, in fact. Tenby Castle can be reached in under a quarter of an hour on foot, too.
