With far-reaching views of the Bay of Nerano and the Amalfi Coast, it’s not hard to see why this home made it into our collection. Spread across three levels, there’s plenty of space for a large family or group of friends to spread out and enjoy some private time here. That said, with the multitude of sun-drenched terraces and cosy alfresco dining spots, we’re sure the outdoor space will be a hit with all. Locally, Nerano Bay is a short walk away if you fancy a splash in the sea, and the nearby town of Massa Lubrense is well worth a visit for some authentic cuisine.

This villa is situated 850 metres from the pebbly beach of Marina del Cantone on the beautiful Amalfi Coast. You’ll find restaurants nearby too, while the town of Nerano is 1 kilometre from this home. A little further afield, Sorrento is 9 kilometres and Amalfi is 38 kilometres away. Or spend your days relaxing in the private swimming pool with its hydro massage jets – we love the sea views from here. You can enjoy the Mediterranean Sea vistas from the upstairs bedrooms too. There’s a pizza oven as well, for authentic pizzas, if you don’t feel like eating out.

We don’t believe in waking up early on holiday - give us a lie in and breakfast in bed any day. But we might just make an exception at The Ocean Fern. The sight of the sun rising over the glittering blue seas of the Italian coastline is something everyone should experience at least once, and it’s even better if you’re close enough to hear the gentle lapping of the waves on the pebble beach below you. This home couldn’t be closer to the sea, with an infinity pool directly overlooking the beach and staggering views from every window (not to mention the spacious terrace). Just outside of the charming village of Nerano, this exquisite villa offers incredible views over the Tyrrhenian Sea. A stone’s throw from rows of authentic seafood restaurants and a pretty pebble beach, a great time can be had close to home, but we recommend renting a car so you can enjoy day drips to Massa Lubrenese and Sorrento. The villa itself boasts several terraces and balconies, so you can take in the mountainscapes from several spots, from the balcony to the luxurious Jacuzzi. There’s even an outdoor gym if you’re keen on keeping up the fitness routine, and a kidney-shaped pool in the garden.

The villa looks out over the Gulf of Naples, Capri Island and the Mediterranean Sea – the views are breathtaking, particularly at sunset. We also love the gardens, which add to the sense of tranquillity.

Location-wise, you're in the heart of Sorrento, just a short walk from the beach. You'll also be within easy reach of the port, with restaurants and bars on your doorstep – handy, as this pad doesn't come with a kitchen. The interiors are a little basic for our liking, but it's modern and there's a dedicated workspace. Plus, the freestanding tub is the perfect place to relax after busy days spent travelling.

You'll enjoy eye-catching scenery from every angle, whether you're tucking into an alfresco meal on the terrace, splashing in the private pool, or relaxing in one of the lounges. Comprised of two self-contained buildings, each with its own kitchen, living area, and bedrooms – thereby making it an ideal home for extended family and friends groups of up to twelve people or sets of couples who want to enjoy time together as well as moments of quiet quality time – the home successfully manages to mix rustic Italian charm with modern convenience and a sense of serenity within its peaceful, calming surroundings that inspire you to slow down and appreciate the little things in life. 

Will today be for lounging by the pool, feeling the sun’s rays warm your face as the day takes on a hazy, almost Botticelli-esque quality and the scent of the ancient lemon grove which surrounds the property perfumes the air with its heady citrus scent? Or perhaps today is the day for setting off on one of the numerous paths that criss-cross the verdant landscapes of this unspoilt peninsula, stopping along the way to admire spectacular vistas encompassing everything from rows of olive trees to pastel-hued villages and distant sailboats bobbing on the glittering Gulf of Naples. Or maybe the pull of the coast is simply too strong to resist, and you’ll find yourself making the nine-kilometre drive towards sublime Sorrento and its cobbled streets, exuberant piazzas, and views of the famed Mount Vesuvius. The emblematic Sorrentine peninsula – from Positano and Amalfi to Naples, Mount Vesuvius, and Capri – lies right on your doorstep.

With stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea, this studio-style apartment has a wonderful setting. We love the private terrace here – it’s the perfect spot to relax and soak up the sun. The interiors have a minimalist design, and the bathroom is modern and sleek with a walk-in chromotherapy rain shower and a bathtub. Set in San Montano, you’ll find a variety of shops and trattorias nearby, while Puolo Bay, renowned for its crystal-clear waters and picturesque coastline, is just under 3 kilometres away. Other attractions within an easy drive include the historic town of Sorrento, just over 5 kilometres from this home.

This Mediterranean-style villa offers breathtaking views of the Gulf of Naples and Capri Island. It’s surrounded by lush gardens including lemon and olive groves, and is a stunning spot for relaxing. There’s an above-ground pool, and the terrace is a dreamy place for alfresco meals – and sipping sunset cocktails. The home is spread between the main villa and an apartment with a separate entrance, which is ideal for a small family seeking more privacy – though two of these guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living room. But for a relaxing coastal break in such a pretty setting, we can forgive that.

Even better are the vistas of Capri and the coast – the perfect backdrop for relaxation. Keen to explore? Sorrento, Priora, and the area's beautiful beaches are within driving distance. Your host can also arrange breakfasts, housekeeping, grocery deliveries, and more for an additional fee – if that's not first-class service, we don't know what is.

Deep blues, sunshiney yellows – how can you not think of the sea when you see these shades? Taking inspiration from Sorrento's nearby harbour and rocky beach, the design of this second-floor apartment is as bright and cheery as the surrounding neighbourhood. There's no doubt it's stylish, but it's also packed with modern amenities that make your stay a dream, from rainfall showers to a kitchen where you'll love rustling up Italian feasts. We adore the quirky touches here, too – our favourite is the stone wall in the shower, which uses the rocky facade of the mountain. 

Did we mention the two sun-kissed balconies? Both offer excellent spots to breathe in the coastal breezes and bask in Sorrento's good weather. Whether you're dining alfresco under the shady parasol or sharing a bottle of Italian wine on the outdoor sofas, this is the place to sit back, relax and fall in love with Sorrento.

Location-wise, you can't do much better. Beaches, eateries and shops are all just steps away. Take a stroll along the postcard-pretty marina in the mornings, followed by lunch at a waterfront restaurant. Do some sightseeing in the historic centre in the afternoons, including a wander around Piazza Tasso and a stop off at the Cattedrale dei Santi Filippo e Giacomo. You're also about an hour or so drive from Naples and Pompeii – perfect for day trips.

When it comes to views, this home just outside Massa Lubrense doesn't disappoint. Whether in the pool or sipping on cocktails on the terraces, you can gaze out across the Gulf of Naples and Capri Island here. Or perhaps you want to catch the sunset as you dine alfresco with a meal rustled up in the outdoor kitchen. If you're a full house, the living room may get crowded with four guests on sofa beds. But we don't think you'll mind – you'll still find plenty of room to yourselves with an ensuite in every bedroom and lots of space to unwind outside.

This home boasts truly breathtaking views of the Amalfi Coast. It’s a short drive from Sorrento, with a path that leads directly from the villa to the village of Sant’Elia, through a beautiful valley. You’ll have everything you might need for a relaxing stay here, with a hot tub, private outdoor heated pool, and an alfresco dining space – your host can arrange for a chef to prepare Italian feasts. There’s also exercise equipment, should you fancy a work out – I think we'd prefer to unwind on a sun lounger, though. 

Sunkissed Sorrento

In the heart of Sorrento, this apartment is perfectly positioned to explore the Amalfi Coast. Shops, restaurants, beaches, and the famous Piazza Tasso are all within easy strolling distance. However, with a sprawling roof terrace back home and sweeping views of the Gulf of Naples, it may be hard to pull yourself away. Everyone will adore the plunge pool (though it's only open seasonally), while the panoramic seating areas are perfect for sundowners. The interiors may be a bit dated, but this home has plenty of space inside and out for coastal relaxation.

This home is all about the breathtaking views. From the Gulf of Naples to the Amalfi Coast, the setting will captivate you from the moment of arrival. There’s also a private pool, a Jacuzzi, multiple terraces and an outdoor kitchen with a barbecue. The rooms are set across three independent apartments – making this a great option for groups looking to stretch out and savour quality time together. You’ll also be perfectly placed for an Italian adventure with easy access to nearby Sant’Agata, Nerano Bay and Positano.

A Rare Moment

This villa was made for soaking up the sunshine with sea-view terraces, an outdoor kitchen, and a communal swimming pool. Sure, you’ll need to climb the spiral staircase to reach the rooftop terrace, but the vistas are worth it. Fancy a splash in the sea? There’s direct access here – just take the stairs down 200 metres. Ideal for extended families or a group of friends, the separate annexe also affords two guests a little extra privacy. Massa Lubrense is only two kilometres away when you fancy some Italian cuisine, and well worth a visit.

Amalfi Coast Dreams

There's realistically only one thing we can start with when talking about this home and that's the gorgeous view of the Gulf of Naples that lies out of the main living area's huge window. Thankfully, these French doors open wide and the balcony lets you take in the coastal panorama with the sunlight on your skin. If you're still in need of another vantage point, guests also get access to a communal roof terrace with some seating on which to clink glasses while the sun sets in the background.

Right, enough about the scenery, because the apartment itself deserves some praise. There's an elegant simplicity to the design, with the whitewashed walls working well with the ample amounts of natural light, plus a minimalist kitchen ready and waiting for Italian feasts. We also like the ceramics collection arranged in alcoves in the hallways, which pay homage to the region's culture and heritage in chic fashion.

As you can tell by looking out the window, you don't have to venture far to find the beach – as a matter of fact, Spiaggia di San Montano is only 200 metres away. There are a few bars and restaurants in the local area, but for a wider choice along with some magnificent historic architecture, Sorrento is just a short drive away up the coastline.
