It’s a charming, chic base for a coastal escape, with pretty interiors – we especially love the colourful tiled floors. The open-plan living, dining and kitchen space is the heart of the home, though you’ll likely spend most of your time on the terrace – it’s a marvellous spot for soaking up the sun and admiring the views. Two guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed in bedroom three, so they’ll still have their privacy.

From here, it’s just a fifteen minute drive into Sorrento and the nearest beaches. The bus stop is just a three-minute walk away and your host is on hand to help organise private transfers.

Perfect for family reunions and groups of friends, the garden even makes the ideal backdrop to a small ceremony. The interior style might not be everyone's cup of tea, but there's space aplenty, and it's comfortable and bright. Location-wise, the nearest restaurant is just a stone's throw. Sorrento is only 4km away, with good transport links to nearby towns such as Pompeii, Herculaneum, Naples and the island of Capri.

There are some stairs to navigate outside, but from the living space there's a lift to all floors for easy access. A true slice of Mediterranean magic.

By the beaches of Sorrento, this hotel-style room is the perfect pad for solo travellers or couples. Location-wise, you're in the heart of the town, with the port just a short walk away. There isn't a kitchen here – just a kettle and a microwave – but this enviable spot means there's a great selection of local eateries and bars to try out nearby. Inside, there's a dedicated (albeit small) workspace, so it's suitable for those on business trips. The freestanding bathtub is also a nice bonus. That said, our favourite feature is the private balcony, providing the perfect place to unwind with an Aperol Spritz in the evening sun.

A short walk from the beach, this hotel-style room is a great base for solo travellers or couples. It's a practical pad, within easy reach of Sorrento's town centre and port, filled with restaurants, bars and cafes – there's no need to worry about the lack of kitchen facilities here. While the pad isn't the most inspiring or soulful spot, it's equipped with modern amenities to ensure an easygoing stay. Business travellers will particularly appreciate the handy desk space, but our favourite perk is the freestanding bathtub – ideal for unwinding after long days spent working or travelling in the local area.

The standout feature of this villa is undoubtedly the views. From the spacious terrace, you can gaze all the way across the Bay of Naples to Mount Vesuvius – and with plenty of outdoor dining and seating areas, you can admire them all day. The bedrooms may not have en-suite bathrooms, with two living spaces, there's plenty of room for groups to spread out. It's just a fifteen-minute drive into the centre of Sorrento – but when you've got these vistas, why leave at all?

The roof terrace is a wonderful spot where you can admire the Bay of Naples with a glass of Italian wine, while the three bedrooms in the main house all open up onto a balcony, ideal for an espresso in the morning sun. There's also a swimming pool and plenty of sun loungers, where you can spend lazy days topping up your tan and taking refreshing dips. Come evening, get ready to up your pizza game in the outdoor oven, and savour your handiwork as the sun sets over Mount Vesuvius. The charming town of Sorrento is a 40 minute walk downhill, or you can hope on the local bus and arrive in the cobbled streets within 15 minutes.

You can tick off all of Sorrento’s sights on foot from this contemporary apartment, located just five minutes from the iconic central square, Piazza Tasso, and a fifteen-minute stroll from the charming harbour and see-and-be-seen beach clubs. While the contemporary interiors and artwork might not float everyone’s boat – it’s all well cared for and makes for a great, practical base. It’s worth noting that the space around the bed is tight in one of the queen-sized bedrooms, but the ample wardrobe space and sleek ensuite shower room make up for that.  

Summer in Sorrento

A fifteen-minute walk from the centre of Sorrento, this apartment embraces the vibe of the Amalfi Coast. Think bathrooms with vibrant tilework, cooling floors underfoot and the peace and quiet of a surrounding orange grove. Old-fashioned decor won’t be to everyone’s taste and it’s a little basic, but the location makes up for this. There’s a private kitchen and dining room for meals cooked at home, but guests here also have access to a shared kitchen and breakfast room too. Part of a collection of apartments (including the owner’s own residence), guests here have access to a shared swimming pool, terraces and hammocks in the orange grove. 

The Soprano

Amalfi Coast living is on your doorstep at this contemporary bolthole set just minutes from Sorrento's main street. A great option for two families who want to holiday together without crowding each other, the home consists of two self-contained apartments. Expect two open-plan living areas (with a sofa bed to sleep two), two well-equipped kitchen area and two double bedrooms. The furnished alfresco terraces are a nice touch, and while there's no swimming pool, the sea is just 700 metres from your door. Don't let the lack of private parking put you off. Everything is within walking distance, and there are easy public transport connections to Amalfi, Positano and Ravello.

A former fishing village, this charming locale is now known for its lemon trees – it’s an idyllic setting for a memorable family holiday.

There's a sleek (albeit somewhat small) kitchen, a modern living area with a sofa bed for the fifth guest, and a duo of bedrooms and bathrooms.
