Looking for a Florence bolthole that's as unique as it is central? This Santa Croce district apartment, set in a fresco-adorned palazzo and within walking distance of all the must-see sights, is spot-on. With ceilings soaring nearly six metres high in the open-plan living and bedroom space, and a mezzanine level providing access to an additional single bedroom and bathroom, the layout is a tad quirky. But we think this only adds to the charm. It’s worth noting that the kitchen is on the small side and better suited to lighter meals and breakfast. But with so many traditional Florentine restaurants just around the corner in the Santa Croce Piazza, we suspect you’ll be eating out alot. 

The Frescoed Palace

This apartment is housed in a Renaissance tower in the heart of Florence, just 50 metres from Piazza della Signoria. The apartment is simple in style, comfortable without being fussy. There's space to gather together in the open-plan living space and kitchen, though with so many restaurants nearby, you won't need to cook unless you really want to. The central location is the star of the show here, putting you within walking distance of the Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery, as well as boutiques and gelaterias. 

Florentine Modern

This apartment is perfect for exploring the heart of Tuscany’s capital city – it’s just a short stroll from Florence Cathedral and Piazza della Signoria. Other places of interest, such as the Ponte Vecchio, are also within easy walking distance. Housed in a historic building, the apartment blends modern furnishings with character features. The open-plan living space also sleeps two guests on a sofa bed at full capacity. You'll have everything you need here for a comfortable and memorable stay in Florence.

Perfectly located for historic city wandering, just steps from the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio, this modern apartment in an elegant Florentine building is both classic and comfortable. Located on the second floor of a historic building with a lift, it features a spacious living room, a fully equipped kitchen, and air-conditioned two bedrooms with views of the city's most frequented streets. In this central location, there's no better spot to explore all Florence has to offer – but pack earplugs if you're a light sleeper!

Heart of the Renaissance

This apartment caught our eye with its central location and private roof terrace – a rare treat in the heart of Florence. It’s also family-friendly with plenty of socialising space across the open plan living and dining room. With three comfortable bedrooms, this is a sweet option for groups in search of practicality and ease in a great setting. From here, it’s just a two-minute stroll to Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery. Plus, you’ll be spoiled for choice when it comes to restaurants, bars and shops. 

The Lady Florence 

Just footsteps from the shop-lined medieval Ponte Vecchio Bridge, this apartment sits on the banks of the River Arno. If you’re not visiting the riverside restaurants or ancient jewellery shops of the bridge on your doorstep, make the two-minute walk to the Ufizzi Gallery to discover the world-famous Renaissance art inside. 

Inside, it’s a modern haven of calm, despite the super central location. Wooden floors complement pristine white walls in the open-plan living area. Sun-filled breakfasts can be taken at the dining table by the big window and the kitchen is tucked away in a separate room with an additional dining table. The little terracotta-tiled balcony is a real bonus, with its bistro table set looking out over the internal courtyard.  

The Artist's Palette

With jaw-dropping frescoes and standout designer interiors, it’s no wonder this central Florentine apartment has graced the pages of the decor bible, Architectural Digest. Delivering split-level living with a huge open plan living and kitchen area taking centre stage, you’d hardly believe this home is designed just for two. If we were being picky, the bed feels a little big for the bedroom – but a dressing room and two bathrooms more than make up for that. Set in the heart of historic Santa Croche, it’s surprisingly quiet here. But when you’re ready to dive into the city’s bustle, all the hotspots, including the mighty Accademia Galleries and Basilica of Santa Croce, are just a stroll away.

Divine Vista

Found in a 17th-century building only minutes from the Ponte alle Grazie, this modern apartment has some of the best landmarks nearby. Both Palazzo Vecchio and the Basilica of Santa Croce can be found on foot, but the location isn't all this home has to offer. The sleek kitchen is where you can put newly acquired pasta-making skills to use. You'll also find a wine fridge here for stocking the perfect vintage. There's plenty of space, even with four guests sleeping on sofa beds. And the courtyard seating with a vertical garden is a really nice added bonus, especially for sunset drinks. 

17th Century Florence

Ideally located just a two-minute walk from the famous Uffizi Gallery, this modern apartment puts you in a prime position to discover Florence’s most celebrated sights. 
 
Pared-back, contemporary decor sets the scene in the open-plan living area where a sofa invites you to make yourself at home with a glass of Italian wine and a dining table beckons breakfasts over fresh coffee ahead of a day of sightseeing. 
 
We love the parquet floors featured throughout, as well as the plethora of art prints decking the walls. The bedroom is equally stylish with its inviting bed and gild-framed oil painting, while the bathroom – complete with a stone rainfall shower – is ready to get any day off on the right foot. 
 
When you’re ready to set out for a day of adventure, spend some time admiring the Uffizi’s art or take a stroll across Ponte Vecchio, a four-minute walk away. You’re also a three-minute walk from Piazza della Signoria, while the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore is eight minutes away on foot. 


Echoes of Art

This handsome apartment is nestled in the historic centre of Florence – making this a great base from which to explore the city. You’ll be just a stone’s throw from Piazza Santa Croce and Piazza della Signoria, while the Duomo is also within easy reach. Take your pick from a diverse selection of local restaurants and cafes, or savour the comfort of dining at home. There is plenty of socialising space across the living room and there is a private terrace – a nice perk in this central location. At full occupancy, two guests will be sleeping on the sofa bed in the living but this is a handy option for families travelling with kids. 

Italian Heaven

This apartment is on the third floor of a historically important palazzo in Florence. It’s perfectly located for exploring the city, with most of the main attractions a ten-fifteen-minute walk away, including Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi. The Basilica of Santa Croce is a few steps away, and the apartment boasts spectacular views of Florentine rooftops. The apartment is full of historic charm – we love the frescoed ceilings – and has plenty of space for all twelve guests to spend time together.
