Modern, bright and beautiful as it is, nothing's going to beat the outdoor area here. With ample seating, including an alfresco dining table under a flowering pergola, looking out over the glistening lake, you can see why this one made our collection. We also like the bathtub facing the door so you can even admire the views from inside. Because of the perched location of this home, you'll have to climb steps up to it, but it'll all be worth it for the breathtaking panorama of Lake Como. Speak to your host about boat trips, helicopter rides and more.

The Lake

A dream destination, this 19th-century lakeside villa couldn’t be closer to the shores of Lake Como. Enjoy views of the lake from inside and out, thanks to large windows and a beautiful garden complete with a fish pond and a private heated pool. We love the style of this home; it’s classy and stylish, while also being wonderfully comfortable – though it is spread over four floors. Boat trips exploring Lake Como are a breeze thanks to the private dock – also great for those wanting a refreshing dip. You’ll be within walking distance of restaurants and shops, and can visit Cernobbio in no time.

Luminous Lake

With picturesque views over Lake Como and its surrounding mountains from the private terrace, this apartment has a special setting. You can enjoy the vistas from the shared swimming pool, as well as from the small open-plan living space. One guest will also be sleeping on a sofa bed in this room at full capacity. This place has a great location too. It’s around 700 metres from Nesso, with its tall brick houses, scenic waterfall and variety of shops, cafes and restaurants.

The Lake's Reflection

If you’re seeking the kind of serenity that comes from enjoying far-reaching views across a glassy lake, this could be the home for you. As you’d expect with a studio, space is limited here, but it’s a cosy place for two. And, step out into the garden, and you can while away the hours drinking in the vistas over a bottle of wine. The kitchenette is ideal for basic food, but for a substantial meal full of authentic Italian flavours, head to one of the many local restaurants in Laglio for a dinner to remember.

Lake Dreams

This elegant villa feels like a private retreat. It’s just a five-minute walk from the centre of Argegno, the shores of Lake Como, and a ferry terminal with connections to Bellagio, Varenna, and Como. Views of the lake can be admired from almost every angle, including from every bedroom – what a splendid way to wake up. There are several living areas inside, as well as terraces where you can dine alfresco and unwind in the Jacuzzi. Lakeside relaxation doesn’t get better than this.

Sunrise on Como

Nestled in the heart of Sala Comacina, this fuss-free apartment is an ideal base for a family or small group of friends on an Italian adventure. While the home offers everything you could need for a relaxing stay, the stand-out for us is the outdoor space. From the private balcony, you can drink in views of Lake Como – just the spot for a morning coffee or evening limoncello. And if that doesn’t tick all your holiday boxes, there’s a communal swimming pool to enjoy here too, perfect to beat the heat of the day.

Como's Delight

Lake Como sits right in front of you at this apartment in Pognana Lario – from the living area to the private balcony, the water is an almost constant presence. It's a quieter corner of the lake than the big-name resorts, with a village calm that's hard to find this close to Como. When you do want to explore, the town and the lake's more famous shores are an easy drive away, making it a natural base for unhurried days spent exactly as you please.

Como Dreamer

Situated on the scenic shores of Lake Como, the sleepy village of Laglio has a handful of bars and restaurants and not much else – the ideal place to embrace a slower pace of life. And this apartment is perched in the perfect spot, with views over the water from the lakeside balcony and living room. It’s beautiful here in every season, whether you’re enjoying summer cocktails or admiring the snowcapped mountains in winter. With space for a family or two couples, this modern home makes a comfortable base for exploring a captivating corner of Italy.

Lago Majesty

With beautiful lake views from the terrace and garden, this apartment has a great spot. You can enjoy the vistas from inside too with its traditionally styled open-plan living space (this room sleeps one guest on a sofa bed at full capacity). We love that the main bedroom has French doors opening onto the lawn as well. When you want to explore this corner of Lake Como, your hosts can arrange bikes or even classic car rentals if you want to see the area in style. Or take a stroll around the village of Laglio with its narrow cobblestone streets, ancient stone houses, and historic villas.

Lake Serenity

There’s lots to love about this elegant home on the shores of Lake Como – but let’s start with the view. The infinity pool looks right out over the water, making your daily swim that bit more special. As for breakfast on the balcony, mornings have never looked so picturesque. Step inside to discover refined rooms that are just as impressive as the scenery, some with their own views of the lake. There’s a sauna and gym here too, perfect for working out or winding down. And pretty Pognana Lario is a great base for exploring more of the area. It’s a twenty-minute drive from Como city, or a scenic boat ride from more charming lakeside villages.

The Lakeside Glow

This Lake Como villa has a historic claim to fame, as it once hosted Winston Churchill, who came here to paint. And when you see the view, you’ll understand the artistic attraction. The scenery is the star here, whether you’re lounging on the terrace or watching the world float by from the lake house (a separate annexe that’s handy for group getaways). Whatever your plans, this handsome home is ideal for enjoying the great outdoors, with a private dock on the water for boating and swimming. Back on dry land, take a trip to the nearby town of Argegno, where a cable car ride reveals sweeping views of the Alpine landscape.

Lakeside Views

Waking up to Lake Como laid out beyond your private balcony, with the Alps rising snow-capped in the distance, is the kind of moment this apartment is built around. The living space carries that same view, so whether you're cooking or simply sitting with a coffee, the mountains and water are always in the frame. There's also a communal pool at your disposal for keeping cool on warm afternoons. When you're ready to venture out, Villa del Balbianello's dramatic terraced gardens and the elegant Belle Époque promenade at Tremezzina are a short drive away.
