You'll find this bright apartment in dreamy Monti, surrounded by some of the Eternal City's best. Iconic sights such as the Colosseum and Pantheon are within walking distance. Though the kitchenette is the perfect place to practice newly-acquired pasta-making skills, several restaurants with authentic cuisine are right on your doorstep. The mix of old and new – rustic rafters against a sleeker kitchen – makes it easy on the eyes. We especially like the bedroom mural. Central and charming, it's ideal for a romantic getaway and curious explorers. 

Roman Ochre

Just a few blocks from Roma Termini station, it's fair to say this home places you right in the heart of Rome. With the open-plan living space perfect for spending time together, we think the home is great for both families or a group of friends. Having two bathrooms is always a bonus, and the hot tub bath is sure to go down well with your guests. Be sure to pick the brains of your knowledgeable host, who is more than happy to share tips on where to check out as you explore. 

The Marcellus

With unparalleled views of Piazza Venezia and Capitoline Hill, this penthouse has four terraces and decadent decor. We think it's great for romantic getaways, and if you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a free cot. At full capacity, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the studio – this has its own en-suite like the other bedrooms, giving everyone the same level of privacy. The large terrace has plenty of space to enjoy the surrounding views and dine alfresco. You might hear some outside noise due to the central location, but this home makes exploring a breeze. You'll find several of Rome's famous landmarks easily reachable on foot, including the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain.

Keeping Time

Right beside Rome's majestic Colosseum, this penthouse apartment boasts outdoor seating and gorgeous views. We think it's a great choice for couples looking for a romantic getaway or families who want to see the sights with ease. The bedrooms enjoy their own en-suites, and high-speed wi-fi is ideal for getting some remote work done during your stay. You can expect to hear some outside noise here due to the central location, and parking will be tricky. But fear not – you can reach several of Rome's most famous landmarks on foot, including the Pantheon and Colosseum, and public transport is easily accessible for further exploration.

Choose Your Way

This enviably located apartment looks out directly over the ancient Colosseum. Better still, the Roman Forum is a short walk away, and restaurants, cafes and bars are on the doorstep. At capacity, one guest will sleep on the sofa bed in the living area, though it may not be the most comfortable option for an extended stay. And while the kitchen and bathroom are a little dated, we think the view more than makes up for it.


Roman Reflection

Escape to Rome in this charming apartment, ideal for a romantic break. The unique round bed is the home's centrepiece, and while there isn't a regular TV here, the projector screen turns the living space into your very own home cinema. The kitchen is small and best suited to light snacks, but there's an array of restaurants right on your doorstep for tucking into the local cuisine. Hotspots like Rome's Botanical Garden, the River Tiber, and the ancient Pantheon aren't far to walk, so you won't need to worry about driving here. If you do wish to explore a little further afield though, you'll find public transport nearby.

Looking Backward

Modern and illuminated, this bright apartment is designed to maximise your city break. The energy of the Piazza del Popolo can be felt from your green-walled terrazza – a serene spot to rejuvenate with a glass of local Falernum after a day wandering the manicured gardens of Villa Borghese – only a five-minute walk from your apartment.

Inside, you'll find a perfectly charming interior, with a sociable open-plan living space bathed in natural light. Here, the suspended balcony, leading to the second sleeping space, makes for an interesting architectural feature. The sleek kitchen is set up for light bites whilst the living space invites you to unwind with its crisp white walls, perspex furnishings and plump sofa. Nothing will feel better than sinking into your sheets in your light-filled bedroom, french doors open, after a day exploring the ancient architecture of the Palazzo del Quirinale and Trevi Fountain, a fifteen-minute walk from your apartment. 

Make your way to the Vatican, stopping off for creamy espresso and velvety gelato along the cafe-lined streets, and be prepared with your passport to explore the Renaissance sculptures in the Musei Vaticani and Michaelangelo’s frescoes in the Sistine Chapel. When you’re ready to eat, stop in at Il Goccetto for their extensive selection of wines, marinated vegetables, salty charcuterie and artisan cheeses.

Terrazza Popolo

You’ll find this no-fuss apartment in the heart of Rome, within walking distance of the Trevi Fountain and the Villa Borghese gardens. Although there’s a minimalist approach to the home, you’ll still find everything you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is well-appointed, and there’s plenty of storage space in the bedrooms. Our favourite feature was the private balcony, which overlooks the Roman National Museum and a 16th-century basilica – it was our favourite spot to enjoy an aperitif at sundown.

White Daisy

Nestled in the heart of Rome, you won't get much closer to the action than this apartment. The decor here isn't super exciting, and the kitchen is definitely on the smaller side, but it's a comfy base for exploring the city. If you're travelling with a larger group, there's the option of also renting the neighbouring apartments. Parking is tricky in such a central location, but the Republic metro and the central station are a short walk away, making it easy to get around.

The Roman House

You can leave the car at home when you stay at this city centre apartment – all of Rome’s must-sees are within walking distance. Situated in popular Trastevere, you’ll be surrounded by a maze of narrow streets packed with cafes, restaurants, and bars, and just a ten-minute stroll from The Vatican. The home itself is in a seventeenth-century building and boasts traditional beamed ceilings. While the bedroom is on the smaller side, the rest of the apartment offers plenty of space for two. We think this is a great choice for a couple wanting to be at the heart of the action.

Charming Tranquility

Conveniently located in the heart of Rome, within easy walking distance of the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain, this apartment is ideal for anyone who wants to soak up the city’s history and culture. The office, handy for those visiting on business, also doubles as a sleeping space for one guest – although, as both bathrooms are en-suites, this arrangement may not suit those who like their privacy. The kitchen is equipped for home cooking, but if you’d prefer to eat out, there are plenty of restaurants on your doorstep.

The Roman Writer

Located on the second floor of a period building, this apartment is well-placed for exploring the city. At full capacity, one guest will sleep on the double sofa bed in the second bedroom – we think this home is well-suited to a couple looking for a romantic break, or friends travelling together. The private balcony, while small, has enough room to sit out with a drink or an alfresco snack. The kitchen is equipped with modern amenities for cooking up delicious meals, but you'll find restaurants and shops within easy walking distance, along with hotspots like the Pantheon and the Campidoglio and Capitolini Museums.
