It’s quite difficult to turn any corner in central Rome without running into a wonderfully historical landmark, ornate statue, or striking architecture. And the location of this fabulous apartment is no exception. Just six minutes from the Spanish Steps, five from Villa Borghese, and only two from the Piazza del Popolo, you’ll have no trouble seeing the sights. But the traditional Italian sights continue inside. Your bright living space features large French windows which illuminate rich, hardwood floors, chunky timber ceilings, and some captivating artworks. You’ll love relaxing on the plush sofa with a glass of primitivo in hand as the cherubs look upon you from the walls. Antique-style furniture and an ornate mirror complete this old-world Italian look, which continues through to the bedroom. We love the full wood-panelled wall, where the door to the ensuite is almost camouflaged within this rich wooden feature. After you’ve explored every inch of the apartment, your host has even more surprises. They can arrange for a tour around the city on a classic Vespa, or a wine tasting tour if you’re not quite ready to handle Rome’s traffic.

Il Cherubino

When in Rome, you’ll want a magnifico base for your adventure, and this apartment provides just that. Located in an elegant area of the Eternal City, it offers a bellissimo blend of convenience and comfort. You’ll be just minutes from the Spanish Steps, famous shopping streets, and the metro, making it easy to explore Rome’s iconic landmarks. The apartment blends antique charm with modern design, creating a homely feel with an Italian flair. Plus, the stunning views over the city will make your stay even more magical.

Magnificent Place

An ode to 1960s Italian cool, this studio apartment blends elegant vintage decor with modern stylings to create a space that feels like you’ve stepped straight into a Fellini film. 

We love the old-school design elements here, from the beamed ceilings in the dining area to the vintage sound system and retro colour palette. The feature wall in the bedroom adds warmth and character to the bright and comfortable space, combining groovy 60s patterns in a bold 21st-century way. After waking up to views of the neighbourhood’s rooftops, hop under the bathroom’s rainfall shower for a luxurious soak before catching up on any work you may have at the chic dedicated desk space. Then, slip on your walking shoes for an exciting day of sightseeing. 

Within your bohemian Trastevere neighbourhood, you’ll find plenty of traditional trattorias, craft beer pubs and artisan shops, while the city’s most iconic sights – including the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, Campo de Fiori, Circus Maximus, the Colosseum and the Imperial Forums – are all easily reachable on foot.

Trastevere Twist

We like being in the thick of things on a city break, so this Roman home immediately caught our eye. It’s just a few minutes from the iconic Trevi Fountain, and a short walk from the Pantheon and the Roman Forum – it’s not difficult to see the sights of Rome from this base. When you’re not out and about, you’ll surely love having such an elegant space to call home. There’s plenty of space, whether you spend your downtime cooking in the kitchen or lounging under the skylight surrounded by antiques. 

Fountain Fortunes

Despite only being a twenty-three-minute walk from the Vatican, this is a cute and surprisingly calming flat. It's housed in an early 20th-century building with heaps of Roman character, and yet modern and cosy inside with its playful pink colour scheme, light wood flooring and tasteful artwork.  After an afternoon taking in the delights of St. Peter's Basilica, devouring all sorts of pizza and limoncello-based drinks, return to the light and airy living space with a chic pink dining table at its core – perfect for coming together for a well-needed cuppa and a slice of a cake. Sitting down to relive the best parts of the day, you'll notice the low-hanging lighting, antique mirrors and retro drinks trolley in the corner. This home cuts no corners when it comes to the little touches. Wandering into the bedrooms you'll find original patterns and vibrant wallpaper prints that remind us of a bygone era. Those lucky enough to be residing in the master bedroom will have the luxury of a private dining table for those romantic morning coffees in bed. Well-rested and full of caffeine, discover the tranquillity and local vibe of the surrounding area. Bordering the River Tiber's west bank, Prati is an art nouveau neighbourhood with alfresco wine bars, stylish cocktail lounges and fine-dining restaurants dotted around its relatively tourist-free boulevards. 

Pied Piper

Ever wondered what it would be like to wake up in the Vatican City? This apartment is very nearly a dream come true – it's located just across the road from Saint Peter's Dome and within strolling distance of most of Rome’s top sights. Inside, it’s bright, homey and practical, with enough space to settle in for a cosy evening after a busy day out and about. We especially like the balcony off one of the bedrooms – perfect for a morning espresso.

Dome View Vatican

Offering views over Piazza Farnese and within walking distance to the Vatican City, the Colosseum, and more, you'll likely spend your days exploring the city sights, enjoying local cuisine and people-watching. And, if you do choose to stay home, you'll find this spacious two-bed has all you could need for a comfortable stay. It's ideal for families, business travellers, or two couples. And, with the added bonus of a desk for working on the move, it makes a great choice for both long and short stays. 

Secret of Rome

Staying here puts you in the heart of Rome’s historic city centre, just around the corner from the Pantheon. It’s a charming home-from-home, equipped with everything you’ll need for a short break, including a kitchenette. At full occupancy, one guest will sleep on a sofa bed in the open-plan living, dining, and kitchen space, so if you’re hoping for more privacy, we’d stick to a guest count of two – this is a great choice for a romantic getaway to the Eternal City. 

Pantheon Dream

With views to kill, this apartment in Rome has lots to like about it. Conceptualised by a boat designer, the home comes with tonnes of character and charm. And, while it may be on the cosy side, it has everything you could need for a comfortable city stay, including a sprawling terrace with undisturbed views of Castel Sant'Angelo. It's within easy walking distance of lots of other top attractions, too, making it a great choice for sightseers. And, the desk for working on the go means it's a solid shout for business travellers alike. 


Jade View

You'll find this modern apartment just a short walk from the Spanish Steps. As far as sightseeing goes, this is the place to be – pretty much all of Rome is within easy reach, whether exploring on foot or hopping on public transit. Back home, the two bedrooms offer luxe en-suites – one with a freestanding bath, the other with a roomy light-up shower. The kitchen lacks a few essentials, but space-wise, it's big enough to rustle up a meal or two. But, seeing as you're in the birthplace of pasta, we suggest sampling the delicious cuisine in the nearby restaurants instead of cooking.

The Modern Roman

Sitting on the top floor of the building, this sumptuously beautiful apartment is just a stone’s throw away from the Spanish Steps and offers a luxurious base from which to explore Rome’s most famous sights. 

Recently renovated and curated with an exquisite eye for design and detail, this home is everything you could dream of having for a romantic Roman holiday. From its parquet floors to its elegant wallpaper and contemporary furnishings, there’s an air of sophisticated grandeur here that feels uniquely special. 

Step out of the bright living area and onto the private terrace where outdoor seating invites you to relax with an espresso each morning and sip on sundowners while taking in views of the Spanish Steps and the surrounding rooftops and churches. There’s a second terrace off of the kitchen equipped with a table and chairs – the ideal spot to gather for an alfresco meal when you’re not sitting down to elegant soirées in the dining room. 

With three beautifully decorated bedrooms – one of which boasts a desk – as well as a pair of luxurious bathrooms (we’re particularly fond of the freestanding tub) – you’ve got everything you need for a memorable, magical time. 

When it comes to sightseeing, you couldn’t be better placed with the Spanish Steps a three-minute walk, the Trevi Fountain a ten-minute stroll and Piazza Navona just under fifteen minutes away on foot. You’re also a ten-minute walk from Villa Borghese and its manicured gardens, while the Mausoleum of Augustus is six minutes on foot from your door. 


Sublime Scalinata

Instead of the very heart of Trastevere, Sky Queen is a little bit to the north. This is actually a fantastic location – you can avoid the hordes of revellers, and the Vatican is easy to reach, while the river is just at the end of the road.  A quieter option in a lovely location, this home is perfect if you're looking for an authentic stay – with all the big attractions within a half-hour walk.  

The double-height ceiling and the large windows make this place bright and breezy, which is surprisingly rare for this neighbourhood as the narrow streets and old buildings often conspire to keep sunlight away. There's a sense of history, with beamed ceilings, and a modern twist thanks to the mezzanine bedroom floor and the floating stairs. A comfy sofa takes the prime position in the open-plan living space, with a handy desk area and a contemporary kitchen tucked away under the mezzanine.
