This apartment is a comfortable place to return to while exploring Rome. It overlooks a charming street and is around a twenty-minute walk from attractions including the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, and the Pantheon. We love the bold splashes of colour and chic decor – this is a cheerful home-from-home. It’s also a practical choice, with a well-equipped kitchenette where you can prepare snacks to fuel your sightseeing. At full occupancy, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the living room – if you’re hoping for more space, we’d stick to a guest count of seven. 

Love from Rome

Within easy walking distance of Villa Borghese, Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps, this apartment brings the best of Rome to your fingertips. Inside, it has a relaxed, homely feel with a cosy open-plan living and dining space featuring a small library of books and a family room featuring a snug bedroom on the mezzanine level that's perfect for children or as an additional chill-out space. Step outside and you'll find restaurants and bars on your doorstep, while the Metro is less than ten minutes away, ready to whisk you across the city. 

Roman Getaway

Escape to your own Roman rooftop haven in Prati – just minutes from the bustling city, yet blissfully away from the crowds. Inside, chevron floors, a stone fireplace, and a stylish mix of period and contemporary furniture set a warm, refined tone. The light-filled living and dining space flows out to a balcony boasting postcard views of St. Peter’s. Not to be left out, the master bedroom also has its own private balcony with panoramic views. But the true showstopper? A sprawling rooftop terrace with 360-degree views over Rome’s most iconic landmarks. Get ready to fire up the barbecue, gather around the table, and toast the sunset in unforgettable style. With its sky-high setting, this is a Roman escape like no other.

Vatican Views

Designed with space and comfort in mind, this apartment offers a bit more privacy than your usual holiday home, without sacrificing communal space. Each of the colourful rooms has an en-suite bathroom, a kitchenette and a TV, so you will have everything you need for a sweet stay in Rome. Of course, you still have a bright, clutter-free living room and kitchen that's perfect for continental breakfasts in the sun – you can even have your breakfast brought up to you for a small additional cost. Light pours in through the Juliet balcony, illuminating a modern, airy and minimalist space that we think has somewhat of a contemporary Scandi feel to it. Find a calming spot perched on the elegant antique furnishings for a relaxing read in the afternoons. Outside, you're right in the thick of things here. A stone's, or should we say a coin's, throw from the Trevi Fountain (nine-minute walk) and a couple of kilometres stroll from the emblematic Colosseum – you really are fantastically placed. Bridging the gap between hotel and rental perfectly, this ever-so central apartment is just the ticket. 

Tre Colori

If the recently remodelled bathroom isn't enough to convince you that this home is special, then surely the outstanding location in the neighbourhood of Trevi will do the trick. There is an evident downside, however – we won’t go as far as calling it a kitchen because there is only a hob, sink, and refrigerator, so if you enjoy flexing your culinary muscles, then this is not the home for you. But, in a city like Rome, we won’t expect guests to be doing much cooking in the first place. Instead, go out and try Roman specialities, like Carciofi alla Giudìa, Supplì, and more. 

The Triton

Sitting on the top floor of the building, this sumptuously beautiful apartment is just a stone’s throw away from the Spanish Steps and offers a luxurious base from which to explore Rome’s most famous sights. 

Recently renovated and curated with an exquisite eye for design and detail, this home is everything you could dream of having for a romantic Roman holiday. From its parquet floors to its elegant wallpaper and contemporary furnishings, there’s an air of sophisticated grandeur here that feels uniquely special. 

Step out of the bright living area and onto the private terrace where outdoor seating invites you to relax with an espresso each morning and sip on sundowners while taking in views of the Spanish Steps and the surrounding rooftops and churches. There’s a second terrace off of the kitchen equipped with a table and chairs – the ideal spot to gather for an alfresco meal when you’re not sitting down to elegant soirées in the dining room. 

With three beautifully decorated bedrooms – one of which boasts a desk – as well as a pair of luxurious bathrooms (we’re particularly fond of the freestanding tub) – you’ve got everything you need for a memorable, magical time. 

When it comes to sightseeing, you couldn’t be better placed with the Spanish Steps a three-minute walk, the Trevi Fountain a ten-minute stroll and Piazza Navona just under fifteen minutes away on foot. You’re also a ten-minute walk from Villa Borghese and its manicured gardens, while the Mausoleum of Augustus is six minutes on foot from your door. 


Sublime Scalinata

This stylish apartment is right around the corner from Termini, Rome's biggest train station, so there's no doubt that the transport links are excellent. But many of the must-see sights can also be reached on foot, including the magnificent Basilica Papale di Santa Maria Maggiore five minutes away and The Colosseum just a little further, about a twenty-minute stroll. After fueling up on pasta and gelato at Mercato Centrale Roma across the street, set off for the Trevi Fountain, The Pantheon and The Spanish Steps, all reachable in under half an hour. When you're not off exploring, shopping or sipping Italian wine at one of the bars in this area, rest your tired feet back at home. We love the bold green colours and funky design – picture cowhide rugs, vibrant pop art and leafy wallpaper in the bedroom. The bathroom is also one of our favourites – it has a huge walk-in rain shower that's the perfect way to relax after a busy day. And this pad has more than enough room for two, so there's plenty of space to make yourself at home. In the evenings, pour yourself an aperitif and rustle up a feast in the contemporary kitchen, then end the night with Netflix in bed, nodding off while to the sound of your favourite shows.

Verdant Verde

In a quiet backstreet just off the legendary Via Vittorio Veneto, this apartment would make an excellent retreat for a couple visiting Rome. It’s an eight-minute walk to the Spanish Steps, and less than ten minutes on foot to the Trevi Fountain. The elegant decor of this studio apartment will certainly have you tossing three coins in the fountain, hoping to return. Exposed beams and stonework create a sense of the building’s history. The stylish kitchen area with its sleek breakfast bar illuminated by Edison bulbs is particularly spacious for a studio in central Rome. Although there’s no door between the bedroom area and living area, an archway and the generally large floorspace makes it feel like a one-bed rather than a studio.   



Visions of Amore

We were sold on the private terrace at this bang-on central Rome apartment alone – and that was before we’d even seen the interiors. Set within a 17th-century building, the home’s 13-foot vaulted ceilings make a grand first impression. It’s worth noting, two guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the second bedroom here. But the thoughtful extras more than make up for that. There’s a dedicated desk in the main bedroom for remote working and a mini bar primed for evening aperitifs. Tucked along a peaceful street, it’s hard to believe the best of Rome is right on your doorstep. Take your pick from Piazza Barberini or the Trevi Fountain – it’s all just a short stroll away.

Ode to Barberini 

If you’re looking for a room with a view in Rome, you can’t do much better than this stunning apartment. It looks out over the Roman National Museum and the 16th-century Church of Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri, making the spacious balcony a bit of seriously desirable real estate. Breathe in the view in the morning as you sip coffee and watch the city wake up beneath you, and spend your evenings drinking wine as the sun dips lower in the sky – you’ll never want to leave. 

The apartment is just two minutes away on foot from Piazza della Repubblica, and eleven minutes from Basilica Papale di Santa Maria Maggiore. When you’ve had your fill of exploring the museums, galleries and churches, strolling fourteen minutes to meander around the gardens of Villa Borghese is a delight. The apartment is wonderfully central, so it’s easy to see all the sights and dine in the best restaurants and bars – but when you want to relax, the apartment becomes a haven. 

Light floods the apartment, making it bright and welcoming. The host has thought of everything you might need, so all you need to do is soak up the atmosphere of the city and enjoy yourself. 


Rome Wasn't Built In A Day

This beautiful penthouse apartment is just the ticket for those looking for a relaxing stay away from the tourist crowds. Located in Rome’s Sallustiano neighbourhood, you’re far enough away from the city’s heavily crowded areas while still being able to reach all the main sights on foot or by public transport. Inside, a neutral palette sets a calming scene with wood floors and pops of blue in the pared-back decor. You’ll immediately be struck by the dazzling amount of natural light in the living area, thanks to the large glass doors that open up onto the first of two terraces. This first one – off of the living room – is a whopping 538 square feet and boasts several tables and chairs, a covered seating area as well as an outdoor shower to enjoy. This is the ideal spot to congregate at sundown over aperitifs and alfresco meals, while the second terrace – up the flight of stairs in the living room – is a rooftop haven with its sun chairs and equally majestic rooftop vistas, ideal for catching those Italian afternoon rays. Back inside, the two bedrooms are simple yet elegant, offering dreamy canvases for a blissful night’s sleep. When you’re ready to head out and explore, make a beeline for Villa Borghese (a ten-minute walk) or stroll just twenty minutes to throw a coin in the Trevi Fountain. With plenty of pizzerias and traditional, family-friendly trattorias along Via Flavia (a one-minute walk), as well as a plethora of shops and historic buildings on your doorstep, you’ve got everything you need for a glorious Roman holiday. 


Frieze Frame

Simply put, Paparazzi is stylish, well-kept and right in the middle of Rome. Domenico is incredibly attentive as a host, and always ready to help, and while there are a few issues that we found, the majority were unavoidable given the age and positioning of the building (fairly slow wi-fi, for example), and the positives far outweigh the negatives. The apartment has been redone recently and you can really tell, particularly in the bathrooms, which feel very modern and sleek.
