Much like its sister apartment in the same building, Green Jay has an air of nobility that surrounds it. Antique furniture, dark wooden windows, and tiled floors all combine to encapsulate the feeling of elegance, a feeling which is common in Flaminio. This isn’t the place to stay if you want to be in the very middle of the action, but you get a sense of calm and a detachment from the tourist crowds, which is more than worth the extra journey time.

One glance at the terrace and its panoramic vistas, and you'll understand why this penthouse is a firm favourite. With an alfresco dining table, comfy lounge chairs (including a swing) and city views on offer, it's the go-to spot to soak up the allure of Rome. You'll want to begin every morning out there – sipping espresso, watching as the city comes alive – and end each evening with drinks as the sun goes down over the rooftops. Inside is bright and charming, with more than enough space for groups to sprawl out. There's even a lovely housekeeper who'll see to the cleaning – she's lived here for twenty years and continues to look after the flat, even turning down the beds every day. Parioli is one of the greenest neighbourhoods in the city – though it's not right in the thick of it, there are quiet leafy streets to stroll down and excellent restaurants to slip into along Viale dei Parioli. But when you want to see the sights, just hop on the bus and you can reach the centre in twenty minutes.

The Flaminio quartiere sits in a bend of the River Tiber and lays claim to this classic Roman apartment. The interiors are 1930s inspired with vintage furnishings, rich dark wood accents and original terrazzo floors. After an industrious day exploring the Eternal City, we loved disappearing into what can only be described as a king-sized sofa, designed by Philippe Starck. Sip a cappuccino by the window overlooking the Monte Mario Observatory or take a seat at the dining table and enjoy a traditional cornetto. While you’re a fifteen-minute car ride to the centre of Rome, there’s plenty to do in your locale. In the summer, catch an outdoor movie at the Cinema Titian Roma, ten-minutes walk to the north, with the striking MAXXI contemporary art and architecture museum right next door. The manicured lawns of Villa Borghese are located twenty minutes south – perfect for picnics and afternoon strolls. Closer to home, you’ll find traditional wine bars and simple osterias along the tree-lined Viale del Vignola, just footsteps away.

It feels as if the rooms were designed with the guest in mind, so aside from the minimalist essentials, you're left with a lot of space to move around, which helps maximise the natural light as well. It’s just a few steps from Villa Borghese and its pretty gardens, close to the most popular tourist spots but without the crowds. You can easily explore the city using public transport, though you don’t need to travel far for great food – Pinciano Market is only 20 metres away. The apartment is a comfortable home-from-home, with everything you might need for a city break. There are desks in both of the bedrooms, ideal for those working remotely.

Attention to detail makes this Rome apartment a special one. It's a beautifully decorated space inside and out, with the real standout being the private garden and patio – ideal for alfresco meals and evening Aperols. While the living space isn't the biggest, the home has been thoughtfully designed throughout (though this is a lived-in home, so expect some of the host's personal belongings to be present). Location-wise, the area is quiet and green, and you'll be just a short walk from the two beautiful parks of Villa Ada and Villa Borghese. 

Vibes of the Vines

This practical apartment is in the Flaminio district of Rome. Tram 2 departs just 200 metres away, whisking you to Piazza del Popolo in no time. You’ll be within easy reach of the City’s restaurants and shops, as well as iconic sights and tourist attractions. The apartment is comfortable and convenient, though with six guests, two will sleep on a sofa bed in the living space. There’s a desk in bedroom one for those working remotely during their stay. 

Flaminio Flavour

This laid-back apartment is in Flaminio, one of Rome's coolest neighbourhoods. Culture vultures will love being a five-minute stroll from the MAXXI Museum, while sports fans can visit the Olympic Stadium. Prefer to stick to the landmarks? The nearby tram and bus stops make travelling into central Rome a breeze. Back home, the living space is a comfortable spot to unwind after your adventures. The kitchen is well-stocked for rustling up Italian dishes, though plenty of eateries are within walking distance. Just note that two guests will sleep on a sofa bed, and air conditioning is only available in the bedroom – not ideal for some, but fine for short visits.

You’ll immediately be struck by the dazzling amount of natural light in the living area, thanks to the large glass doors that open up onto the first of two terraces. This first one – off of the living room – is a whopping 538 square feet and boasts several tables and chairs, a covered seating area as well as an outdoor shower to enjoy. This is the ideal spot to congregate at sundown over aperitifs and alfresco meals, while the second terrace – up the flight of stairs in the living room – is a rooftop haven with its sun chairs and equally majestic rooftop vistas, ideal for catching those Italian afternoon rays. Back inside, the two bedrooms are simple yet elegant, offering dreamy canvases for a blissful night’s sleep. When you’re ready to head out and explore, make a beeline for Villa Borghese (a ten-minute walk) or stroll just twenty minutes to throw a coin in the Trevi Fountain. With plenty of pizzerias and traditional, family-friendly trattorias along Via Flavia (a one-minute walk), as well as a plethora of shops and historic buildings on your doorstep, you’ve got everything you need for a glorious Roman holiday.

This modern apartment boasts an excellent location in Rome – it’s just a two-minute walk from the Spanish Steps. You’ll be a short walk from many of the Eternal City’s main attractions, including Piazza del Popolo and Villa Borghese. There are also excellent shopping, dining out, and transport options practically on your doorstep. The apartment is contemporary and functional, with high ceilings and a convenient kitchen. At full occupancy, privacy is somewhat limited – two guests will sleep on a sofa bed on the open mezzanine above one of the bedrooms.

Just a short stroll from the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain and Piazza Barberini, this large, elegant apartment has a fantastic address. Villa Borghese Gardens, the Pantheon and the Colosseum can also be easily reached on foot. With high ceilings and plenty of natural light, this is a great home-from-home for your stay in Rome. There’s a private balcony perfect for a morning coffee and one of the bedrooms has a desk for when you need to catch up on work. Your hosts have thought of everything here – guests can also personalise their sleep experience with a pillow menu. The cobbled street outside is utterly charming, and even with the crowds milling about a few hundred metres away, it's quite peaceful. The sprawling Villa Borghese is just five minutes away – it's an absolute must-visit, home to lush greenery, city views and beautiful sculptures, plus it's where you'll find the Gigi Proietti Globe Theatre and Museo Pietro Canonica. You're also not far from other tourist attractions – the Spanish Steps are a ten-minute walk, while the Pantheon is reachable in twenty. Inside, the apartment is bright and roomy, with a sleek kitchen and two cosy sofas that you'll want to sink into after a busy. We particularly liked the beautiful artwork of local sights that adorn the walls, and there's even a delicious restaurant downstairs when you don't feel like cooking. End your evenings on the private terrace – just pour yourself a glass of wine and relax as the sun goes down, basking in the magic of Rome.

And with the hot Roman summers, you’ll be glad to know this home has air conditioning. This place is a fantastic choice for friends and families looking to be within the heart of the Eternal City.

Sitting on the top floor of the building, this sumptuously beautiful apartment is just a stone’s throw away from the Spanish Steps and offers a luxurious base from which to explore Rome’s most famous sights. 

Recently renovated and curated with an exquisite eye for design and detail, this home is everything you could dream of having for a romantic Roman holiday. From its parquet floors to its elegant wallpaper and contemporary furnishings, there’s an air of sophisticated grandeur here that feels uniquely special. 

Step out of the bright living area and onto the private terrace where outdoor seating invites you to relax with an espresso each morning and sip on sundowners while taking in views of the Spanish Steps and the surrounding rooftops and churches. There’s a second terrace off of the kitchen equipped with a table and chairs – the ideal spot to gather for an alfresco meal when you’re not sitting down to elegant soirées in the dining room. 

With three beautifully decorated bedrooms – one of which boasts a desk – as well as a pair of luxurious bathrooms (we’re particularly fond of the freestanding tub) – you’ve got everything you need for a memorable, magical time. 

When it comes to sightseeing, you couldn’t be better placed with the Spanish Steps a three-minute walk, the Trevi Fountain a ten-minute stroll and Piazza Navona just under fifteen minutes away on foot. You’re also a ten-minute walk from Villa Borghese and its manicured gardens, while the Mausoleum of Augustus is six minutes on foot from your door.

This home has a fantastic location in upscale Prati – it's just over a ten-minute walk to the Vatican Museums, while the high-end boutiques in Via Cola di Rienzo are a twenty-minute stroll away. You'll also find an array of bars and gourmet restaurants on your doorstep. Trionfale Market, on the other hand, with its food and flower stalls, is just over a five-minute saunter. So, take some fresh produce back to this home and whip up a Roman-style feast to enjoy in the elegant dining area. Later, entertain your guests at the piano here, or relax with a glass of prosecco. In the morning, fling open the French doors in the bedroom, then enjoy a hearty breakfast before starting another exciting day exploring all the Eternal City's wonderful sights.

The bedroom here is simple yet elegant, with an en suite boasting a rainfall shower with views of the courtyard and a bathtub with chromotherapy lights to ramp up your soak's serenity. With St. Peter’s Square just a five-minute walk away, you’ve got culture and history right on your doorstep. That said, with your host able to arrange at-home massages, private chefs, restaurant reservations and tickets to the city’s top events, your home gives you a slice of heaven without ever needing to step out the front door.

Stay in a fantastic location on Via Margutta (the home of Gregory Peck’s journalist in Roman Holiday), just a six-minute walk from the Villa Borghese Gardens and eight minutes from the Spanish Steps. After some morning sightseeing, return home, past the excellent restaurant in the courtyard serving up breakfast, lunch and dinner, and fling open the doors to your private terrace. Sit on the patio set with an afternoon bottle of wine, or sprawl out on a lounger with a good novel – you’ll have a pretty view of the surrounding pastel buildings and plenty of sunshine. Inside, the apartment is just as lovely – a bright, tastefully decorated space with designer furniture and carefully selected artworks. At the end of your busy days in the eternal city, fall asleep soundly in private comfortable bedrooms, looking forward to another morning coffee on the patio. 

The Roman Aquila

Despite its position in an old, atmospheric square near Campo de’ Fiori, Falconry has been renovated recently, and most of the furniture has been made to measure, making the whole place feel very well crafted. Everything fits together, from the parquet floor to the various lamps, and even the terrace is taken care of, and not an afterthought. High up among the rooftops, it feels like a little refuge from the hectic city below.

Two things about The Roman Farfalla stand out. That’s not to say that that’s all there is to it, but the location and the terraces are clearly the main draw. Having two separate outdoor spaces, both well furnished, is a real luxury, and it’s easy to imagine spending most of the day flitting between the two. That is, of course, if you’re even in the flat. The Spanish Steps are at the end of the street (Via Margutta, made famous by Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn), while most of the other major attractions are within easy walking distance.

This stylish apartment is right around the corner from Termini, Rome's biggest train station, so there's no doubt that the transport links are excellent. But many of the must-see sights can also be reached on foot, including the magnificent Basilica Papale di Santa Maria Maggiore five minutes away and The Colosseum just a little further, about a twenty-minute stroll. After fueling up on pasta and gelato at Mercato Centrale Roma across the street, set off for the Trevi Fountain, The Pantheon and The Spanish Steps, all reachable in under half an hour. When you're not off exploring, shopping or sipping Italian wine at one of the bars in this area, rest your tired feet back at home. We love the bold green colours and funky design – picture cowhide rugs, vibrant pop art and leafy wallpaper in the bedroom. The bathroom is also one of our favourites – it has a huge walk-in rain shower that's the perfect way to relax after a busy day. And this pad has more than enough room for two, so there's plenty of space to make yourself at home. In the evenings, pour yourself an aperitif and rustle up a feast in the contemporary kitchen, then end the night with Netflix in bed, nodding off while to the sound of your favourite shows.

Verdant Verde

With heaps of Italian soul and rustic charm, this quiet, well-kept and beautifully appointed apartment offers everything needed for that dolce vita. For the location, you're surrounded by local authenticity and just a seven-minute walk to the emblematic Colosseum. Find an assortment of eateries, wine bars and classy cafés to enjoy an alfresco lunch in the sun, before working off any over-indulgences with a gentle fourteen-minute stroll to Trevi Fountain – pennies at the ready. We also have to mention the apartment being on the cusp of Monti and Campitelli – both are full of beautiful piazzas, windy backstreets and family-run trattorias. Back home, we think there's somewhat of a contemporary Scandi feel, with plain bedspreads, pared-back furnishings and white shelved walls. Modern and minimalist, you'll also notice the elegant marble floors, quirky wallpaper prints and low-hanging light bulbs that we really loved. 

Elder Statesman

It’s quite difficult to turn any corner in central Rome without running into a wonderfully historical landmark, ornate statue, or striking architecture. And the location of this fabulous apartment is no exception. Just six minutes from the Spanish Steps, five from Villa Borghese, and only two from the Piazza del Popolo, you’ll have no trouble seeing the sights. But the traditional Italian sights continue inside. Your bright living space features large French windows which illuminate rich, hardwood floors, chunky timber ceilings, and some captivating artworks. You’ll love relaxing on the plush sofa with a glass of primitivo in hand as the cherubs look upon you from the walls. Antique-style furniture and an ornate mirror complete this old-world Italian look, which continues through to the bedroom. We love the full wood-panelled wall, where the door to the ensuite is almost camouflaged within this rich wooden feature. After you’ve explored every inch of the apartment, your host has even more surprises. They can arrange for a tour around the city on a classic Vespa, or a wine tasting tour if you’re not quite ready to handle Rome’s traffic.

For a stay in the Eternal City, this apartment has a lot to offer. Featuring two terraces, impressive views and contemporary rooms, you’ll find everything you could need for your own Roman holiday. The layout works perfectly for an adults-only escape or families in search of comfort, simplicity and space to stretch out. Your host is also on hand to help organise extras like housekeeping, private transfers and guided tours. Plus, you can walk to parks, galleries, cafes and restaurants, while the close proximity to public transport means its easy to explore further afield.

Tucked behind the ruins of the Mausoleum of Augustus, this sumptuous flat is just five minutes on foot from the Piazza di Spagna and the Villa Medici. Rome is truly your oyster from this central spot – excellent restaurants, must-see landmarks, fashionable boutiques on Via dei Condotti and lively wine bars are practically on your doorstep. 

But location isn't the only reason we love this apartment. Step through the front door and you'll find a space richly classical in its design, with marble, gold and florals at the fore. Although the style is straight out of the 1800s, we found it very welcoming and contemporary. We enjoyed rustling up dinner in the sleek, compact and fully-equipped kitchen, followed by lounging on the sofa with a glass of wine. The main bedroom suite is also a favourite – not only is the bed comfortable, but the en-suite bathroom has a chromotherapy rainfall shower that feels like heaven after a long day on your feet.

Finding a street close to it all but not inundated with tourists is the holy grail in Rome – and that's precisely where you'll find this apartment. We call it the Goldilocks zone. But, ever the professional, your host Michele hasn’t used that as an excuse to rest on his laurels. The flat itself is in perfect condition, and while it doesn’t have the feeling of a family home, that’s often a good thing when it's not a sprawling home with space for all the host's personal items. The two bedrooms are on opposite sides of the flat, which is perfect for groups of friends travelling together, though families might want little ones closer by, or not. We understand. Sandwiched between the river and lively Campo de' Fiori, you're in a prime location to explore the city. The square is home to the city's most vibrant (and occasionally overpriced) street market (Monday-Saturday mornings). Still, this famous foodie haven is a good place to stock up on fresh produce, just a five-minute walk from your apartment. Cross over the stone footbridge, Ponte Sisto, and within a couple of minutes, you'll be immersed in trendy Trastevere. With its cobbled streets lined with charmingly faded facades, innovative trattorias, and craft cocktail bars, there's plenty to keep you occupied well into the night.


Tales From The Riverbank

This elegant apartment is in a restored 16th-century palazzo – and it looks the part. You’ll step over the marble tiles of the entrance into a magnificent home filled with art and furniture from the 17th and 18th centuries. Ceiling frescos and glittering chandeliers can be found throughout the home, which also boasts a private terrace overlooking the cupola of Santa Agnese in Piazza Navona. The piazza is just a stone’s throw away, and you’ll be a short walk from the likes of the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain. Just perfect.

Soul of Rome

Finding somewhere that can comfortably sleep eight (and ten, at a stretch) in the Jewish Quarter isn’t as straightforward as you might think. Finding somewhere that can comfortably sleep eight and has a view as good as Teatro’s is even harder. It looks down onto the Largo di Torre Argentina, which holds the ruins of four temples and Pompey’s Theatre. It’s a fantastic spot, and Teatro makes the most of it, with a simple design intended to not interfere.

Though this roomy apartment is based in a seventeenth-century palazzo, rustic charm is not the only thing on offer. While there are plenty of characterful touches here (think vaulted ceilings, arched doorways, even an original spiral staircase made of Roman brick), what makes this home stand out are the twenty-first-century updates. We're talking a lofted glass mezzanine, a two-seater sauna in the downstairs bedroom (the perfect way to relax after a busy day exploring Rome), a separate fitness room with a treadmill for squeezing in workouts and a contemporary kitchen that makes cooking a breeze. There's even a shady patio – whether you're sipping espresso in the mornings or enjoying an alfresco dinner in the Italian sunshine, it's an excellent spot to unwind. And you couldn't ask for a better location to take it all in. Piazza Navona is just a three-minute stroll away, and other world-famous landmarks like the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon are also within walking distance. Plus, you're surrounded by cafes, restaurants and a lively atmosphere, making this apartment a top-notch place to call home.

This traditional apartment sits just a two-minute walk from the Spanish Steps, in a fabulous location in Rome. The large windows look out over Palazzo Torlonia and Via Bocca di Leone, and you’ll have plenty of restaurants and bars within easy reach. When you want to explore more of Rome, there are convenient metro lines nearby. The apartment boasts elegant old-world touches including chandeliers and wood-beamed ceilings. There’s plenty of room for everyone to gather together in the living and dining spaces, whether you’re dining in or just enjoying a pre-dinner cocktail.
