This Roman home is as central as it gets, sitting just ten minutes west of the iconic Pantheon and mere steps from the banks of the Tiber River in a typical historic building. And that's not all this spacious abode has going for it. Ideal for groups of friends or family, the refurbished apartment offers comfort and style in abundance, with herringbone floors, plush velvet seating and design-led furniture.

The open-plan living and dining area is the perfect place to gather in between landmark-hopping. Relax in front of the TV and sit down to Italian-inspired feasts whipped up in the kitchen. When sleep beckons, you'll unwind in no time in the calming bedrooms – both of which face an internal courtyard, meaning you're safe from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Herringbone Haven

With the Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, and even the Roman Forum all within walking distance, this four-bedroom apartment couldn’t be in a better spot for sightseeing. You’ll be right in the heart of historic Rome, but it’s not just the location we love about this home. The apartment is bright and spacious, spread over two floors at the top of a charming old building. There’s plenty of space to spread out, including a well-appointed kitchen and separate dining room, plus a living area that opens onto a sunny terrace (a real treat in the centre of the city). The only downside is there’s no lift, however being up high means you’re rewarded with glorious views of the Roman rooftops.

Eternal City Sky

Halfway between Trastevere and Campo de’ Fiori, and footsteps from the banks of the River Tiber, this apartment is enviably located. Inside, the place has been tastefully finished with relaxation in mind. Furnishings in rich brown are complemented by pops of teal and subtle gold accents. There’s a comfy L-shaped sofa that calls for reclining with a good book and a dining nook should you fancy taking your meals at home. Take a walk through Rome’s historic streets. You’ll reach the Spada Gallery and the old-school trattorias of Via del Pellegrino in five minutes by foot, the Moor Fountain in ten and the Pantheon in fifteen. To reach the Roman Forum and the Colosseum, catch a taxi and arrive in just over ten minutes or opt to wander through the city and reach them in a leisurely thirty.

Teal on the Tiber

Since 1869, the Campo de' Fiori has been a hub of market trading for fresh fruit, vegetables, and flowers. And by evening, this charming square becomes a hub of alfresco dining spots and wine bars. With that in mind, this studio apartment is pretty convenient, at less than a minute away. But if you want to keep busy rather than relaxing with a glass of chianti, you’ll find palaces, museums, and statues all around – such as the Museo di Scultura Antica Giovanni Barracco, two minutes away. However, we feel that this home is somewhat of a landmark itself. As you step inside, you can help but be taken aback by the striking timber ceiling. These thick, rustic beams ooze old-world Italy, transporting you back in time. But with modern twists from minimalist furniture and quirky artworks, there’s an elegant clash of eras which makes this studio feel unique. We love the luxe touches like the marble kitchen sink and bathroom, although your host can provide an even better VIP experience. After being picked up by your private driver from the airport, you might fancy taking up their offer of a wine tasting tour or ride on a classic Vespa.

Il Legname

Location is the name of the game at this city apartment. Offering views over Piazza Farnese and within walking distance to the Vatican City, the Colosseum, and more, you'll likely spend your days exploring the city sights, enjoying local cuisine and people-watching. And, if you do choose to stay home, you'll find this spacious two-bed has all you could need for a comfortable stay. It's ideal for families, business travellers, or two couples. And, with the added bonus of a desk for working on the move, it makes a great choice for both long and short stays. 

Secret of Rome

Right between Piazza Navona and Campo de’ Fiori, Refosco is in a bustling location, but inside it’s peaceful. Rich colours and plants, along with lots of decoration, create the interior design equivalent of a hug. The layout means that it’s perhaps best suited to families, or at least people who are comfortable being in close proximity, but if that doesn’t pose a problem, then it’s got a lot going for it. 


Refosco

Between Regola and the medieval alleys of the old Jewish Quarter, this gorgeous apartment is set within a 14th-century building tucked out of the way in the heart of historic Rome. 

The interior is perfectly pieced together and designed with your needs in mind. We were big fans of the interior design, particularly the accent wallpaper that makes the green theme pop.

A well-equipped kitchen elevates your self-catering options – though with all that fantastic food on your doorstep, who's cooking? Finally, a gorgeous blue bedroom lends a sophisticated air to the apartment and an air of calmness and serenity to help you slip off speedily.

Down at street level, you'll find several cafes and restaurants just around the corner, while trendy Trastevere is just a five-minute stroll across the Ponte Garibaldi. Elsewhere, the historic shopping street, Via Giulia, is 500m from your front door, while the likes of Piazza Navona, the Pantheon and the Roman Forum are all under a kilometre away.

Naive Neon

What an amazing address this apartment has in Rome. You’ll be just a short stroll from the Ponte Sisto and Campo de' Fiori. Iconic landmarks such as the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain are also within walking distance. You’ll also have shops, cafes, and restaurants on your doorstep. With the latter, that’s literal – there’s a restaurant right below this home, so you may hear some street noise here. Inside this apartment, you’ll find a good-sized living room, with a sofa bed for guests five and six. Two of the bedrooms have desks, too, in case you need to work while away in the Eternal City. 

 The Culture of Rome

It's all about location and traditional charm with this Rome apartment, as it's set next to Piazza Navona – famous for its Baroque buildings and fountains. The Campo de' Fiori market and the ancient Pantheon temple are also both within a five-minute walk. As for the charm, you'll find it in everything from the wooden beams of the ceilings to the original 16th-century spiral staircase that takes you up to the apartment. Granted, there's no lift, but if you're happy to climb up to the second floor, then the central location is more than worth it.

Sweet Piazza

Perched along a quiet cobbled street on the outskirts of bustling Campo de' Fiori, you'll find this Italian villa apartment. While the caramel-coloured exterior and lofty ceilings inside show the bones of this period building, the rest of the apartment is expertly reimagined for modern living. Peer out through the lounge's dual aspect windows with your morning coffee to reveal charming vignettes of balconies tumbling with greenery –⁠ precisely as you'd imagine a traditional Italian street to be. And thanks to its quiet residential locale, you'll be sure to bank a peaceful night's sleep in the pristine bedroom. When it's time to soak up the Roma culture, get off to a flying start with a stroll along Via Giulia (three minutes on foot) –⁠ one of the most beautiful streets in Rome and the perfect spot for a sociable aperitivo. Or for something a little more refined, you're right in the heart of the gourmet district with three Michelin-starred restaurants just a three-minute jaunt away. And there's plenty of local favourites to be found over the river amidst the medieval streets of Trastevere (ten minutes on foot) –⁠ worth the stroll alone to take in those sunset views over the Ponte Sisto. It's one of Rome's greatest pleasures.

Verde Cadente

Grab yourself a big slice of Roman life at this immaculate river view apartment, just around the corner from the iconic piazza of Campo di Fiori. Home to one of the city's best-known markets and, by night, buzzing bars and restaurants, this square delivers all the Italian charms you're chasing.

You can easily blaze a trail to Rome's biggest sights from here, too, including the Colosseo (half-an-hour on foot) and even closer, the Patheon (a fifteen-minute walk). Or ditch the crowds and hop over the bridge to Trastevere's atmospheric alleyways to seek out a nonna-esque trattoria for dinner. 

Back home, this newly renovated apartment feels like the perfect little hideaway after days amongst the city's hustle and bustle. Put your feet up in the light-filled living space – the leafy vistas reaching out to the River Tiber through the dual-aspect windows are a joy. While over in the two boutique-feel bedrooms, guests sharing will love the privacy of the separate ensuite bathrooms. And despite its central location, both rooms feel surprisingly quiet at night, so you can bank a good night's kip here. While for those planning to work or study during your stay, there's a handy desk space in one of the bedrooms with a charming view to boot.

Limoncello Yellow

This city bolthole, set slap bang in the middle of Rome's central Regola district, has an unbeatable location. But it's the apartment's private sauna and Jacuzzi bath getting us hot under the collar. 

After hectic days in the hustle and bustle of Rome city, this home is the ultimate relaxation retreat. Soak travel-weary legs in the bubbly Jacuzzi. Heat things up in the sauna. Or feel anew beneath the rainfall showers.

When it's time to crash out, grab a glass of something crisp from the wine fridge before settling down to marvel at the design features dotted about this home. The statement lighting, including bespoke chandeliers, brings all the ambience.

Away from this luxurious home, you'll find the very best of Rome at your feet. Take your pick from markets, shops, cafes, restaurants, and gelato parlours – you name it, you're near it. While sights like the Piazza Navona and Pantheon are just a short stroll away. And, of course, there's always the River Tiber (two minutes on foot) for an early evening stroll. As dusk falls over the historic rooftops, there's no finer place to be.
