When we saw this grand home in the heart of Rome, we were in total awe. The classic Italianate interiors are utter joy, with exquisite antique furniture and oil paintings from the host's family homes in Puglia and Sardinia. Large windows with original shutters look out over pretty Via Bocca di Leone off Via Borgognona, with its luxury boutiques. Entertain in style at the large dining table under the light of the crystal chandelier. Or get some rest in the bedroom painted in a rich Pompeian red – if you’re not feeling sleepy, there’s a library here with a variety of books on art and literature to leaf through. Another bedroom has French doors onto a small balcony, filled with plants, with a view onto the internal courtyard – ideal for breakfast in bed before exploring this charismatic city. This location is fantastic –  it’s just a three-minute walk to the Spanish Steps and a ten-minute saunter to the stunning Trevi Fountain, while a range of sublime restaurants are right on your doorstep. You’d be hard-pressed to find better.


Lion's Pride

In the heart of Monti, this apartment puts you a five-minute walk from the Roman Forum and ten from the Colosseum. Alongside historic monuments, you'll also have excellent restaurants and lively bars on your doorstep. It can get a bit noisy here, but we think the views of Curia Julia and quintessentially Roman streets make up for it. The apartment itself veers towards practicality, with its small kitchenette, sofa bed for two, and lack of a washing machine. Still, it's comfortable and cosy – and the location speaks for itself.

Monti Magic

This newly renovated home is just a two-minute stroll from Campo dei Fiori, with its daily market and array of cafes, bars and restaurants. St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican City is under twenty minutes on foot. It's a few minutes more to the Trevi Fountain, and the Colosseum and Imperial Forum are about a thirty-minute walk or fifteen-minute ride. How's that for a Roman getaway?

Take some fresh produce back to this apartment and rustle up a carbonara and salad to enjoy at your dining table. After dinner, have a seat on the comfy chaise sofa and enjoy a glass of wine. This home is decorated in neutral mushroom hues, and the vases of flowers dotted around give the place a lovely homely feel – and we love the French doors, which allow light to flood in. This abode is perfect for a couple or friends looking to be within easy reach of many of the Eternal City’s attractions.


Porcini

Since 1869, the Campo de' Fiori has been a hub of market trading for fresh fruit, vegetables, and flowers. And by evening, this charming square becomes a hub of alfresco dining spots and wine bars. With that in mind, this studio apartment is pretty convenient, at less than a minute away. But if you want to keep busy rather than relaxing with a glass of chianti, you’ll find palaces, museums, and statues all around – such as the Museo di Scultura Antica Giovanni Barracco, two minutes away. However, we feel that this home is somewhat of a landmark itself. As you step inside, you can help but be taken aback by the striking timber ceiling. These thick, rustic beams ooze old-world Italy, transporting you back in time. But with modern twists from minimalist furniture and quirky artworks, there’s an elegant clash of eras which makes this studio feel unique. We love the luxe touches like the marble kitchen sink and bathroom, although your host can provide an even better VIP experience. After being picked up by your private driver from the airport, you might fancy taking up their offer of a wine tasting tour or ride on a classic Vespa.

Il Legname

With its contemporary style full of sleek furnishings and decor, this is slice of modern living in an especially ancient part of Rome. Find yourselves right in the thick of the action as soon as you leave your door, with the Piazza Navona and Campo de Fiori close by, and the iconic Pantheon just down the street. When you’ve had your fill of sightseeing, kick off your shoes and climb into the cosy bed, or have a coffee outside in the courtyard.

Pantheon Charm

Location is the name of the game at this city apartment. Offering views over Piazza Farnese and within walking distance to the Vatican City, the Colosseum, and more, you'll likely spend your days exploring the city sights, enjoying local cuisine and people-watching. And, if you do choose to stay home, you'll find this spacious two-bed has all you could need for a comfortable stay. It's ideal for families, business travellers, or two couples. And, with the added bonus of a desk for working on the move, it makes a great choice for both long and short stays. 

Secret of Rome

Any discussion of Savannah has to start with the roof terrace, a little rectangle of serenity nestled in the rooftops of Trastevere. There is furniture up there and even a canopy, so you can relax while hiding from the midday sun. The interior is simple but charming, with a working fireplace in the living room - perfect for those cosy winter nights. The bathroom is a little basic - especially if it’s being shared by four - and it’s worth noting that there is no lift in the building, but otherwise Savannah is a lovely base in Rome's most bohemian neighbourhood.

Sitting right in the heart of Rome’s historic centre with countless points of cultural interest on your doorstep, this comfortable apartment is an ideal base for those looking to make the most out of the Eternal City. 
 
Dressed in vibrant pops of red against a calming white palette, fashion meets cool simplicity in the home’s design. We love the parquet floors here that lend a note of classic charm, while the modern art hanging on the walls adds a dash of characterful flair to the proceedings. The scarlet accented kitchen is all set to host sociable breakfasts over fresh coffee and locally bought pastries, while the glass dining table is the perfect spot to gather for a celebratory Italian feast when you’re not out sampling the local trattorias. 
 
With a pair of pared-back yet wonderfully comfy bedrooms as well as sleek bathrooms to get any day off on the right foot, you’re all set for a carefree stay. What’s more your host can organise a plethora of special extras for you here, including personal shoppers, yoga instructors, guided tours and wine tastings. 
 
When you’re ready to venture out for a day of exploring, you’ll find the Spanish Steps a four-minute walk away, the Trevi Fountain walkable in nine and both Piazza Navona and Villa Borghese thirteen minutes away on foot. You’re also a ten-minute walk from the Pantheon, while Campo de' Fiori is twenty minutes on foot from your door.

This modern apartment boasts an excellent location in Rome – it’s just a two-minute walk from the Spanish Steps. You’ll be a short walk from many of the Eternal City’s main attractions, including Piazza del Popolo and Villa Borghese. There are also excellent shopping, dining out, and transport options practically on your doorstep. The apartment is contemporary and functional, with high ceilings and a convenient kitchen. At full occupancy, privacy is somewhat limited – two guests will sleep on a sofa bed on the open mezzanine above one of the bedrooms.

This charming detached home is in a prime location for a relaxed Roman retreat. Surrounded by picturesque streets full of authentic eateries in the Trastevere district, it's also within walking distance to the capital's top attractions like the Colosseum and the Pantheon. The home comes with plenty of private outdoor spaces – a rarity for such a central location – including Juliet balconies with each room, a roof terrace, and a garden. Spread over three floors with several dining areas, this is a great spot for families or small groups exploring Rome. 

Ancient Jewel

You’ll find this charming apartment on the narrow, atmospheric Via dei Coronari (officially one of the world’s ten most beautiful streets), right in Rome’s historic centre. It’s just a two-minute stroll to buzzing Piazza Navona where cafés and restaurants spill out onto to pavement and ancient fountains still trickle away. Just across the River Tiber, a fifteen-minute walk takes you to the endless museums and Sistine Chapel at The Vatican. Housed in a building dating back to the 1500s, this apartment still radiates old-world charm which can immediately be felt by the 19th-century aedicule at the entrance. The wooden coffered ceiling and herringbone floor harks back to a bygone age and gilded mirrors and antique furnishings complete the feeling that you’ve stepped into an opulent home in the 19th century. Though it may seem like you’re staying in a museum, the practicalities have been thought of as well, with a full kitchen for your morning espresso, and comfy sofas around the flatscreen TV in the lounge.
