What a great location this lovely home has – it's just a six-minute stroll from Emperor Nero's Golden House (Domus Aurea), while the Colosseum is eight minutes on foot and the Roman Forum is ten. Back at this apartment, housed in a 19th-century building, there's a wonderful terrace with a comfy sofa, which is just what you need after a day exploring the Eternal City.

Simply put, Paparazzi is stylish, well-kept and right in the middle of Rome. Domenico is incredibly attentive as a host, and always ready to help, and while there are a few issues that we found, the majority were unavoidable given the age and positioning of the building (fairly slow wi-fi, for example), and the positives far outweigh the negatives.

This modern apartment has the best of historic Rome right on the doorstep. You can walk to the Spanish Steps in five minutes, the Trevi Fountain in ten, and the Colosseum in thirty.
