Located on the ground floor, the interior of this home has been designed by Samuele Mazza. There are high ceilings and large windows overlooking the courtyard fountains, while earthy hues and art adorn the walls.

It couldn’t be easier to explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Parco Mannarazze is 550 yards away, while Villa Comunale is just a little further. For a day at the beach, Noto Marina Beach is 3.4 miles from this glamorous home.

It’s also a great base from which to explore the most stunning spots of the region – the Baroque cities of Syracuse and Noto are a short drive away, while the beaches of Avola and Fontane Bianche are also within easy reach. You will need a car here, but your host can help organise car rentals along with a range of excursions. And while the rooms are basic, we think most of your time will be spent outside, admiring the views from the jacuzzi.

Found in Fontane Bianche, this minimalist Sicilian villa is an ideal spot for mental decluttering. We were big fans of the pool, thanks to it being bordered by rows of gorgeous tropical plants – perfect for ensuring privacy. And with the home looking out to the east, you'll want to wake up early at least once during your stay to catch a sunrise over the sea. In the local area, you'll of course find the gorgeous beach and plenty of eateries, while you're also a short drive from nature reserves, historical sites, and quaint fishing villages.

An Ocean Breeze

Perched on a Sicilian hillside, you’re treated to wonderful countryside views from your sleek apartment. Whether you’re soaking up the scenery from the comfort of your own terrace and heading down to the pool for a dip, you’ll be captivated by the rolling hills and far-stretching seascape.

You’ll love mornings here – plenty of floor-to-ceiling windows mean natural light floods the apartment, beckoning you outside for a coffee in the sun. Perhaps a spot of yoga on your terrace is how you’ll want to start your day, or a dip in the shared pool to kickstart your senses. You can even sink into the pool’s hydromassage seats for ultimate relaxation. When the afternoon rolls around, it’s the perfect time for a gin & tonic on your terrace, garnished with Sicily’s famously good citrus fruit, while playing a light-hearted card game. 

Watching the sunset from your terrace is not to be missed – nothing beats watching the sun dip behind the hills, melting away in the sea. Come dinnertime, your kitchen is well-equipped for whipping up your specialty dish to be enjoyed around the dining table. But if you don’t feel like cooking, you can always head to the nearby city of Noto. Famous for its baroque architecture, it’s a wonderful place to walk around hand-in-hand, admiring the romantic scenery, before finding a local Sicilian spot for a traditional dinner.

Overlooking the glimmering blue of the Ionian Sea, this charming whitewashed villa boasts a prime location, plenty of outdoor space, and chic interiors. You’ll have plenty of peace and privacy here: the house is surrounded by 4000m2 of manicured gardens, which lead down to a large outdoor pool and plenty of deck chairs for relaxing in after a refreshing dip. Large whitewashed pillars support the covered terrace that wraps around the house. Fire up the audio system while you make drinks and snacks in the outdoor kitchen, or throw some meats on the barbecue for an alfresco lunch. 

The rooms inside are characterised by high ceilings and dark wooden beams that contrast with the whitewashed walls. Sleek, minimalist furniture is compounded by statement pieces: we love the sunken living area with the towering ultramarine ornamental fireplace. The villa is just 50 metres from the sea, and there are beautiful sandy beaches within easy reach. 

From the villa you are well placed to explore Sicily’s delights: the baroque town of Noto and Syracuse are both a twenty-five minute drive away, while the hamlet of Fontane Bianche is on your doorstep: home to beach bars, laidback restaurants and local shops.

Situated in the Sicilian countryside, this architecturally interesting villa is surrounded by a large garden, offering wonderful views over the landscape to the sea. There’s a large lawn, a swimming pool and an entertainment area with tennis, football and billiard tables. There’s plenty to do and see in the locale too – the villa is conveniently located just a short distance from the baroque town of Noto. And for a day at the beach, Lido di Noto is just over 5 kilometres away.

This home in Fontane Bianche is a great place to relax and enjoy the Sicilian sunshine. A five-minute drive away is the beach, while thirty minutes away is Syracuse if you're in the mood for a day trip. Even better than the location is the villa itself. With a sunny garden, private pool, and covered terrace ideal for evening feasts, we reckon most of your time will be spent outdoors. Head inside, however, and you'll find contemporary touches and light-filled spaces, including a large living area where the whole brood can come together.

Siracusa White

It’s just footsteps (10 metres) through the pretty garden of this stylish villa to the stunning Fontane Bianche Beach. We can’t think of a better location for beach lovers. There are bars and restaurants here, or head back to this recently built home with its modern architecture and whip up some caponata for lunch in the sleek, outdoor kitchen. Or let your host organise a private chef to cook some local specialities.

Afterwards, head up to the balcony terrace and laze on a sunlounger as you take in the beach and sea vistas or enjoy some cocktails on the outdoor sofa. There are plenty of different seating areas here. Inside, the predominantly white colour scheme echoes the colour of the nearby powdery sands. This villa is the perfect seaside retreat for a family or group of friends.

With two swimming pools and views across the unspoilt countryside to the Ionian Sea, this villa has relaxation at its forefront. Multiple terraces provide shaded spots for when you want to escape the sunshine, and there’s a barbecue for alfresco feasting.
