Overlooking the glimmering blue of the Ionian Sea, this charming whitewashed villa boasts a prime location, plenty of outdoor space, and chic interiors. You’ll have plenty of peace and privacy here: the house is surrounded by 4000m2 of manicured gardens, which lead down to a large outdoor pool and plenty of deck chairs for relaxing in after a refreshing dip. Large whitewashed pillars support the covered terrace that wraps around the house. Fire up the audio system while you make drinks and snacks in the outdoor kitchen, or throw some meats on the barbecue for an alfresco lunch. 

The rooms inside are characterised by high ceilings and dark wooden beams that contrast with the whitewashed walls. Sleek, minimalist furniture is compounded by statement pieces: we love the sunken living area with the towering ultramarine ornamental fireplace. The villa is just 50 metres from the sea, and there are beautiful sandy beaches within easy reach. 

From the villa you are well placed to explore Sicily’s delights: the baroque town of Noto and Syracuse are both a twenty-five minute drive away, while the hamlet of Fontane Bianche is on your doorstep: home to beach bars, laidback restaurants and local shops.

Villa Oltremare

This modern beach house located in the marine protected area of Plemmirio is the perfect spot for a coastal break south of Syracuse. With direct access to crystal-clear waters and a rocky beach, guests can unwind effortlessly in the idyllic surroundings. Though the house is semi-detached, you’ll have complete privacy here, with a large terrace for sharing Italian feasts and a private garden shaded by pine and palm trees. The designs are simple but perfectly inviting, with light-filled rooms and comfortable furnishings. What’s more, this villa is ideally situated for exploring southern Sicily, with the historical centre of Noto and the Pantalica and Vendicari nature reserves all within driving distance. 

The Punta Blossom

It’s located just south of Syracuse on the south-east coast of Sicily, within easy driving distance of Noto and the Vendicari Nature Reserve – though you may find it difficult to leave the villa. You’ll have everything you need to hand here, whether you want to soak up the sun beside the private pool or make the most of the direct beach access. Your host can even arrange private chefs and boat trips.

On the sun-dappled coast of southern Sicily, the Baroque city of Noto shines with the majestic charm of the region. And nestled within its centre, this home provides the perfect setting for an immersive island escape. 

From the soft light and earthy tones to the rustic furnishings, every detail inspires a wonderful sense of welcome. On the ground floor, you'll find the living room opens up onto a private terrace – inviting you to enjoy a quiet morning coffee or dusky pink sunset drinks. 

Back inside, this dynamic space brings a romantic touch to daily living. And whether you’re enjoying a candlelit dinner or relaxing in the ensuite bedrooms, it’s easy to feel captivated by the simplicity of this home. 

From here, it’s just a short walk into the centre where days can be spent strolling along the enchanting baroque alleys, savouring gelatos and mingling with locals in tiny bars and restaurants. And for explorations along the shimmering coastline, you’ll find Lido di Noto is 3km from here, while some of the island’s most secluded beaches are just a short drive away. 

Felicità

This beautiful apartment is in a stunning position in the historic centre of Ortigia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s in front of Forte Vigliena, an ancient Bourbon-era fortress. It’s also just 10 metres from a sandy beach. This home has a private terrace where you can soak up the sun and drink in the wonderful sea views. The view stretches to the island of Maddalena up to Plemmirio. We love the elegant decor in this well-equipped, comfortable home.

If a holiday for you isn’t complete without sea views and the sound of waves rushing ashore, this could be the home for you. This charming seafront home is on the shores of Fontane Bianche, a popular resort in Sicily. It looks over a rocky beach and the Mediterranean Sea, with glorious views from the terrace. The outside space is the main event here, with a veranda that goes from the lounge to the garden, and a barbecue and table ideal for alfresco dining. There’s even an outdoor shower so you can rinse off after a trip to the beach. Inside, the space is crisp and modern, with everything you might need for a beach break. 

Peaceful Sounds

It’s just footsteps (10 metres) through the pretty garden of this stylish villa to the stunning Fontane Bianche Beach. We can’t think of a better location for beach lovers. There are bars and restaurants here, or head back to this recently built home with its modern architecture and whip up some caponata for lunch in the sleek, outdoor kitchen. Or let your host organise a private chef to cook some local specialities.

Afterwards, head up to the balcony terrace and laze on a sunlounger as you take in the beach and sea vistas or enjoy some cocktails on the outdoor sofa. There are plenty of different seating areas here. Inside, the predominantly white colour scheme echoes the colour of the nearby powdery sands. This villa is the perfect seaside retreat for a family or group of friends.



Take Me to the Beach

Set in a quiet spot on the east coast of Sicily, this unfussy villa is footsteps from the Plemmirio Marine Park, a ten-minute drive from Arenella Beach and no more than twenty minutes from the heart of Syracuse. If you’d prefer to stay put, we recommend spending the morning flitting between the pool and a lounger before sitting down to a traditional Sicilian lunch, rustled up in the fully equipped kitchen. Should you prefer to leave the cooking to the professionals, your host can arrange for a chef to take care of mealtimes.


Sicilian Lemon Spritz

On the edge of the Ionian coast, you’ll want to drop your bags and immediately head out to the terrace. The interior is just as eye-catching as its Sicilian surroundings – take your pick of two living rooms to unwind, fall asleep blissfully in the elegant bedrooms and wake up refreshed with the help of your rain shower (each en-suite has one). You’ll find multiple balconies to soak in the panoramas, though you’ll need to climb some stairs – a glass of Nero d’Avola at the top will make it all worth it. Or hop in the car to Syracuse for an evening in the Roman city, where you can sample the local Sicilian cuisine amongst the ancient ruins. 

Ionian Marble

Nestled in the heart of Ortigia, this home is an ideal base for a family or group of friends. With three bedrooms boasting en-suites, everyone can enjoy their privacy here, but the star of the show is the private terrace. With views across Sicilian rooftops, this sun-drenched space is perfect for alfresco meals or simply relaxing with a good book. Fancy a spot of sightseeing? Within easy reach, you’ll find the Temple of Apollo and Forte San Giovannello – just the spot to watch the sunrise – while Ortigia’s nearby market is a must-visit for some local produce to sample at home.

Shades of Ortigia

Floor-to-ceiling windows can be found throughout the home, allowing the daylight to pour into every corner. The living room is lit up by the sun and gives you a gorgeous view of the ocean in the distance as well as your very own sparkling pool on the terrace. Here is where you'll spot a telescope for those nights with clear skies – end the day by stargazing and spotting constellations with your loved ones. Cook up a homemade meal in the kitchen while you admire the scenic surroundings or get the barbeque going for a grilled lunch to tuck into at the outdoor dining table under the sun.

Float in the refreshing pool while you watch the boats sail by. Unwind on the sun loungers as you listen to the waves – glass of red in one hand, and a book in the other. We recommend spending your evenings out on the terrace to watch the sunset as the amber glow shines into the home. You'll still be able to fit in your daily workout routine in the at-home gym, fitted with great equipment and weights.

Visit the daily markets in Syracuse, alongside a wide variety of sporty activities such as golf, tennis, and diving. Sit by the harbor as you relax with a snack before wandering further through the streets to discover local hidden gems and delicious eateries. Browse a selection of shops, followed by discovering something new at the Museo Archeologico Regionale Paolo Orsi, one of the most popular archaeological museums in Europe.

Ocean Plants

Occupying a prime seaside position on Sicily's southeast coast, this stunning villa offers everything you could want for an Italian escape. A crisp and clean interior keeps things simple, which makes complete sense once you get your first glimpse of the view from the terrace.

This beautiful verandah leads directly off the l. It offers a shaded dining area, plenty of seating around its perimeter, and easy access to the sun loungers dotted about the lawn. A short stretch of rocky shoreline is all that separates you from the sea, making the lack of a swimming pool a non-issue, as you can simply take a few steps straight into the inviting azure sea when you want to cool off.

If you prefer to feel the sand between your toes, Spiaggia Fontane Bianche is just over a kilometre away. This popular spot offers fine golden sand and dazzling blue waters backed by a small selection of bars and restaurants, where you can dine on fresh Sicilian seafood as you look out over the ocean.

When you've had enough of topping up your tan for the day, why not drive the 16km to the historic city of Syracuse, known for its ancient ruins and the lovely island of Ortigia. In addition to the history, you'll uncover a spectacular selection of lively bars, traditional restaurants and plenty of shops to pick up a holiday memento or two.

An hour or so south, the charming Baroque towns of Noto, Modica and Ragusa make for fascinating day trips. In addition, we'd recommend stepping back in time on a visit to the former fishing village of Marzamemi on Sicily's southern tip.
