Overlooking the crystal waters of the Mediterranean Sea, this indoor-outdoor villa is perfectly pitched for a relaxing stay in sweet Sicily. Situated on the outskirts of Taormina, and within easy walk of several sandy beaches down the coast, you'll be able to see the island with ease and comfort. 

Back up at your hilltop villa, find yourself swimming lengths of the infinity pool, bathing on a sun lounger, and enjoying languorous lunches on the terrace, all while taking in the awe-inspiring sea views around you. For the interiors, think traditional tiled flooring, high ceilings, and large windows that flood the living space with natural sunlight. Step out onto a choice of terraces for an evening negroni or rustle up a quick bite in the impressive chef's kitchen. There's even a fully-equipped gym for active types looking to work off last night's three courser. 

Speaking of, the historic town of Taormina, just a fifteen-minute walk from your doorstep, offers a great choice of trendy bars and family-run restaurants for a lovely evening out. Rather top up your tan at the beach than the pool? The good news is that the white sands and clear waters of Mazzarò are also only twenty minutes away on foot. Perfecto. 

Cliffside Comfort

With its mesmerising views and contemporary design, this home will captivate you from the moment of arrival. Outside, leisurely days can be spent relaxing by the private pool. There is also a terrace with a barbecue and plenty of spots to sit back and gaze at the horizon. Housekeeping is included in your stay and you will receive a welcome basket with breakfast items for your first day. Your host can also help organise a range of sweet extras – including private chefs and airport transfers. It’s worth noting you will need a car to get around here, but it’s just 4 kilometres to Giardini Naxos beach, while the centre of Taormina is 7 kilometres away. 

Mystical Retreat

This bright apartment has a private terrace with lovely views of Isola Bella. There’s also a shared swimming pool to enjoy in the verdant grounds. Inside, we’d say the interiors lack a bit of character and personality, but with so much to explore nearby, you’ll probably be out and about more. Visit nearby Mount Etna and the Alcantara canyons, or just 2 kilometres away, you’ll find the hilltop town of Taormina, with its Greco-Roman theatre or spend the day on the beach closeby (1.5 kilometres away).

The Summer Rose

Nestled into the hills, gazing lovingly out over Taormina, this elegant villa provides the most serene escape for a Sicilian stay. The private pool is likely to entice you in straight away, with the cooling waters hard to resist in the heat of the day. Suitably refreshed, you can settle down on a sun lounger to while away a few hours with your summer read at the ready. With just the quiet notes of birdsong around you, it’s a peaceful way to spend the day.

On the upper level of the villa, you’ll find the living area which boasts such an expanse of floor-to-ceiling glass, you’ll feel the Ionian Sea wrapping itself around you even when you’re indoors. Step out onto the terrace, and you can still enjoy the view with the addition of a gentle sea breeze – it’s the perfect spot for after-dinner drinks. Speaking of dinner, when it’s time for a meal, light the barbecue and dine poolside under the candy-striped gazebo. With your loved ones gathered, it’ll make for a memorable evening as the stars break out above.

If you can bear to leave the villa, the local town of Taormina has to be top of your to-do list. With beaches, quaint streets, and even a Greek-Roman theatre to enjoy, you’ll never be short of things to do in this stunning setting. 

As Sweet as Candy

Wake up to sea breezes and glittering sunshine at this peaceful villa overlooking the turquoise Tyrrhenian. Inside the abode, expect an eye-catching blend of colour and texture – we loved the exposed stone walls and the purple mosaic bathrooms. 

When you’re not kicking back with a Negroni in the open-plan living space or tucking into fresh Sicilian produce whipped up in your fully-equipped kitchen, you’ll be enjoying a quiet moment on the shaded terrace or splashing about with your loved ones in the pool. 

When you fancy a change of scenery, you’re a five-minute drive from the sandy Movida Beach and ten minutes from the heart of Letojanni, a charming fishing village home to quaint winding streets and no-fuss restaurants. If you’re keen to brush up on your history knowledge, the chic hilltop town of Taormina with its Greco-Roman amphitheatre and views of Mount Etna is a fifteen-minute car ride away.

Canzone Siciliana

This villa on the south coastline of Sicily sits as close to the Ionian Sea as it's possible to get without the water lapping against your bed every morning. It's a wonderfully picturesque spot, but what's perhaps most impressive is the villa's long list of amenities that will prise your attention away from this peaceful vista.

Given the island's fruitful climate, it won't come as a surprise to learn that many of these can be found outside. There's something for every mood out here, whether you want to play in the swimming pool, relax in the Jacuzzi or feast yourselves silly on the pergola's alfresco dining table – all with the unmistakable sound and scent of the sea to keep you company.

When you finally have to head inside, we're sure that you'll like what you see. The interior design mixes rustic features, such as patches of exposed stonework and the villa's old wine press, with more contemporary flashes – the minimalist kitchen and whitewashed bedrooms are a case in point. We also like that the split between the main villa, guest house and suite offers a degree of welcome flexibility for larger groups.

When it comes to seeing a little more of the island, the first port of call has to be the stretch of beach that sits directly opposite the home. Beyond that, there are restaurants and bars a short walk away in the coastal town of Letojanni, plus the port city of Catania lies well within reach for a day trip.



A Stirring Spectacle

A convenient base for exploring Sicily's east coast, the villa is perfect for sightseeing. It's only a few minutes by car to the beaches in Giardini Naxos, while the hilltop town of Taormina is less than 10 kilometres away. Even back home, you can enjoy the idyllic setting – head up to the rooftop terrace and you'll be treated to panoramic views of Mount Etna. Plus, with a seasonal pool, three comfortable bedrooms, and the ability to bring small pets for a fee, it's no wonder this home ticks all our boxes.

Etna Enchanted

This villa is all about the views. Perched on Sicily’s east coast, it looks out over the Ionian Sea, with Mount Etna rising in the distance. Days are spent padding between the pool, shaded terraces, and sun-drenched loungers. Inside, it’s all cool marble floors, clean lines, and a kitchen made for long, lazy meals – whether you’re perched at the breakfast bar or gathered around the table. Taormina is just 7km away, but here you’ll enjoy the same cinematic backdrop without the crowds. And when the beach calls? It’s only 4km from your door.

Sicilian Heights

Nestled inside a tranquil community on the slopes of Mount Etna, this handsome villa makes for a great place to base yourself while visiting this part of Sicily. Just a short drive from Taormina and the surrounding beaches, you’ll be well-connected while at the same time enjoying the perks of the home’s rural setting. We are particularly impressed by the outdoor areas, which feature a pool set amidst a landscape garden and plenty of space for catching the rays and enjoying alfresco feasts. The views are also pretty stunning and can be enjoyed both from inside and from the garden and terrace. 

The Blue Hills

This comfortable apartment is situated in the historic coastal town of Giardini Naxos, and it benefits from having a sea-facing balcony. The beach is located directly opposite the home’s main entrance and the surrounding area offers plenty of local shops and restaurants. At full capacity you may feel a tad squeezed here – we think that the place is best suited for a couple. Bear in mind that the pad is situated on the third floor with no lift. 

A Song Of The Gods

This is one of those villas that takes your breath away the moment you enter. Lined with palm trees, layered with viewing spots of the Mediterranean Sea and formed by deluxe fittings, it's a home drenched in luxury. 

Whichever part of the home you visit, you'll be able to see the rugged coastline blend into the deep blue water of the ocean. It's a view you never tire of, especially if you're seeing it from the comfort of the sun beds on the terrace.

That terrace is where you'll spend most of your time, whether it's catching some sun on the beds or going for a swim in the pool. Furthering the vibe of paradise, a cute outdoor table faces the shoreline, perfect for sharing a deep Burgundy wine with an incredible view. 

We appreciate that for most of you, the views aren't enough – you want to explore Italy for yourself. Hop in the car and you're spoilt for choice on day trip options – Taormina, Syracuse and Catania offer an insight into urban coastal living. 

For striking natural beauty, Mount Etna, the Alcantara gorges and the fishing villages on the Cyclops Riviera are just a short drive away.

Eruptions Of Colour

This seafront apartment makes for a special base in Sicily. You’ll find this home in Letojanni, close to Taormina and with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants nearby. When you’re not exploring Sicily or sunbathing on the beach, you’ll likely spend most of your time on the terrace. There are sun loungers, an alfresco dining area, and a Jacuzzi – it’s the perfect spot for watching the sun set with a cocktail. Inside, the decor is bright and cheerful with a nod to the sixties.
