This home is housed in an attractive, Baroque-style building, a few steps from the splendid Baroque Cathedral of San Nicolò, in the heart of Noto. Recently renovated, it maintains its period finishes, such as its vaulted ceilings. In the living space, you'll find stencils of foxes and deers, as well as a sparkling chandelier and terrazzo floors. French doors lead to the balustraded terrace – it's the ideal spot for a glass of Marsala. We think this home is perfect for a couple or family.

There's plenty to see and do in Noto. It's known as the Capital of Baroque, so if you love classical architecture, this place will have you in raptures. The stunning historic centre was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002. Admire the Cathedral of Noto and the Palazzo Ducezio, or if you prefer a day at the beach, head to Calamosche Beach with its crystal-clear waters.

Back at this home, housed in a former convent, we adore the shared Arabesque courtyards with their fountains and lush planting – it's the perfect spot to relax with a drink. Or unwind in the communal plunge pool with its hydro massage jets. There's a gym area, too, if you are feeling energetic. Inside the apartment itself, there's a neutral colour scheme enlivened by warm tones of mustard. This home is perfect for couples, friends, business professionals or a family.


Dance Little Sister

If you’re seeking a stylish spot for a Sicilian stay, this apartment doesn't disappoint. Your host owns four apartments in this building, so the photos can guide your expectations, though each is similar in style. There are communal outdoor areas to enjoy, so you can make the most of downtime and drinks alfresco. The kitchen is on the minimal side, so you’ll only be able to prepare simpler dishes – that said, you’ll want to maximise your time out sampling the local cuisine. And when you’re ready to explore, you’ve got Noto Cathedral, Baroque landmarks and gelaterias on your doorstep.

Perched on a hillside overlooking rolling olive groves not far from the Sicilian coast, it's no surprise that the views here are absolutely idyllic. Morning, afternoon or night, the garden is where you'll spend most of your time. Help yourself to fruit and vegetables grown in the garden, take a refreshing dip in the sparkling pool and dine together under the pergola in the fresh air. Come evening, grab a glass of wine and make for the balcony, where you can watch as the sun sets on the horizon, purple and pink hues painted in the sky. 

The house was built with pale local stone, and inside, the uncluttered spaces and neutral colour palette reflect that pared-back style. Crisp white walls, glossy finishes and rooms bathed in light create a relaxing haven that's the perfect respite from the sun.  

Just fifteen minutes away by car is Noto, a baroque town known for its UNESCO World Hertigate-status cathedral. Spend the afternoon wandering down the cafe-lined streets, seeking out local eateries and independent shops. You're also a fifteen-minute drive from Spiaggia della Loggia in Avola when you crave a beach day, while Syracuse is reachable in under an hour – perfect for a day trip.

Sanguine Sunrise

As far as we’re concerned, a trip to Sicily is always a good idea. It’s rich in history and culture, has an incredible food scene, and is beautiful to boot. This charming apartment is right in the centre of Noto, so you’ll be in the thick of it. 

You’ll likely spend your days admiring the baroque architecture of the city, and meandering along the narrow limestone streets. The magnificent cathedral is just a short walk away, and it’s a great place to start a tour of the city. Make sure to have frequent stops in bars, restaurants and cafes – whether you’re in the mood for gelato, coffee or cannoli, you’re never far from your next great mouthful here. 

The apartment is also wonderfully located for the coast, where you can cool off after a few days of city sights. Lido di Noto is a quick drive from the apartment, with clear blue sea and soft white sand.

You can really relax in this comfortable home from home. It’s ideal for families, but would also be a great pad for couples or friends looking to enjoy some Sicilian sunshine. With the city and the beach right on the doorstep, this apartment offers the best of both worlds.

Each and every room is just as charming as the next, but if we had to pinpoint the ultimate piece de resistance in this home, it would have to be the balcony. Fully furnished with chairs, a flurry of luscious plants and an open–air dining setup, be sure to retreat to this private paradise every day to contemplate the change from sunlight to starlight. With an Aperol Spritz in hand and lots of tasty Italian nibbles to munch on, you couldn’t wish for a more idyllic situation to be in.

Thanks to its central location, this home puts you in the perfect position to explore Sicily on foot. Stroll for no more than a minute or two and you’ll stumble upon a bevy of bars, restaurants, shops and, for those with a sweet tooth, ice cream parlours! Be sure to traverse the city’s magical baroque alleys and for those moments when nothing but a sea view will do, head to the beautiful beaches of Noto Marina, Marzamemi, San Lorenzo and the Vendicari Reserve.

My Heart is in Sicily

Situated a short walk from the centre of Noto, a town known for its baroque architecture, including the 18th-century Noto Cathedral, this modern apartment offers a slice of typical Sicilian life. You’ll begin slow mornings with a coffee in the sun-soaked living space before idly tucking into a light breakfast at the dining table. When the time’s right, head out onto the terrace and get stuck into a good book, enveloped by the scent of potted jasmine. 

If you’re keen to while away the hours at the seaside, Noto Beach is a short drive away. Stretch out on the soft sand or bob about in the crystal-clear waters of the Ionian Sea. Should you start to feel peckish, drive north to Avola for rustic osterias and traditional ristorantes. Return home in the early evening for a glass or two of limoncello on the rooftop as dusk falls over the landscape.

Looking out at that view from the (unfenced) rooftop terrace, there’s is no doubt you’re in the heart of historic Noto. Shambling rooftops lead to the crowning dome of Noto Cathedral, showing off just how central you are. Down a set of stairs, you’ll find an enclosed terrace for meals outside and glass doors leading to the solarium-style sitting room. The rooftop view from the breakfast table in the dine-in kitchen is just as impressive. Each main bedroom is bright and spacious, and the mezzanine bedroom has its own sitting room, but if you’re packing this place to capacity, two people will be in a box room with no windows.

This villa couldn’t be better placed. It’s situated on the outskirts of Noto, though you can drive into the heart of town in around five minutes, so dipping in and out of the day-to-day bustle couldn’t be easier. Back at the home, there’s a private swimming pool and a covered veranda for relaxing with refreshments. The interiors are traditionally styled, which may not appeal to some, but the place has everything a family or group of friends could need for a stress-free holiday.
