This delightful home is comprised of two traditional barns dating back to the 1800s – they’ve recently been restored to stunning effect. It’s an excellent option for a group of friends or for an extended family, as there’s plenty of space for everyone. 

Aside from being a wonderfully convenient option, this home is also full of charm. Boasting panoramic views of Chianti Classico, the outside space is dreamy. Spend your days lounging beside the private pool, swimming laps and splashing about with the little ones. Enjoy languid lunches that stretch into alfresco dinners beneath the gazebo. We love sitting out on the terrace as the sun sinks in the sky, watching for the stars to start to emerge. 

Inside, you’ll find traditional Italian style – think wooden beams and warm colours. If the weather turns chilly, curl up in front of the fireplace with a book and a glass of Chianti – you’ll be feeling cosy in no time.

The Atlanta, located on the first floor, accommodates six guests across three double bedrooms, while The Garden apartment welcomes four guests across two doubles. Only a short drive from Florence and Siena, this Tuscan escape is perfect for those looking to spend the day soaking up art and culture while enjoying evening meals alfresco, sunset vistas, and outdoor space aplenty.

 Time Spent in Tuscany

This apartment, overlooking the beautiful vineyards of Tuscany, is situated in a historic palace that dates back to the 14th century. The place is packed with character, from the arched brick ceilings and terracotta tiles, to the chandeliers and antique furnishings.  Outside, the neat terrace is the perfect place to come together for lunch. Pick your spot at the table as tasty dishes are passed around and glasses are topped up with Chianti. Slip into the hot tub on cool evenings, with your favourite beverage in hand as a purple dusk falls across the landscape. And when it’s time to wind down, bedrooms strike a balance between elegance and comfort, so you’re guaranteed a restful night’s sleep. You’ll find this home in the small village of Marcialla, where family-run restaurants offering the very best of Tuscan cuisine are minutes from your doorstep. If you’d like to explore further afield, take to forty-minute drive into Florence for its world-famous sights – the iconic Galleria dell'Accademia, Duomo and Uffizi gallery await.

This apartment is part of a beautiful agriturismo in San Donato, in the heart of Tuscany. Views of the Chianti Hills can be enjoyed from almost every angle, and there are vast grounds so you can spend much of your time outside. The gardens and pool are shared with the other guests of the agriturismo, as is the wide terrace with its wood-burning oven and barbecue. You’ll be just a short drive from the ancient medieval village of San Donato in Poggia, a marvellous spot for lunch in a trattoria.

Belonging to a multi-generational family farm, this place brings all the Tuscan farmhouse charms you're chasing with cool terracotta floors, exposed stonework, and lofty wooden beams. An excellent choice for a couple or small family sharing, the elegant bedroom sleeps three with a sofa bed tucked away in a cosy corner that's perfect for a child.
 
But it's outside amidst the vast vineyards, olive groves, and woodlands where we think you'll be spending most of your time. While away the afternoon in the apartment's private garden – there's everything you need to rustle up a feast in the sleek, modern kitchen when thoughts turn to food. And if you fancy a glass of the local grape, you've come to the right place. Book a wine tasting session on the estate to savour the fruits of the harvest – the extra virgin olive oil and wine are exceptional.
 
When it's time to change up the pace, Florence and Siena are just a forty-minute drive for your cultural fix. Or pack up a beach bag and head for the sea – the Tyrrhenian coast is just a scenic one-hour drive away over the rolling hills.


Into the Groves

Set halfway between Florence and Siena in the heart of Chianti, this is a special home for a special holiday. It’s peacefully nestled among vineyards and woodlands, with sweeping views over the hills from the picturesque pool. The rooms are spread across the main house and an independent barn with its own living area and kitchen. This makes it a good pick for a group getaway, with two sofa beds offering extra sleeping space. And with world-class wineries and scenic trails to discover nearby, you’ll never be short of things to see and do during your stay.

A Toscano Sanctuary

Standing in the historic centre of medieval Poggibonsi, this home puts the centre of Tuscany at your fingertips. A short distance from Florence and Siena, you can venture out into the region's world-famous rolling hills for wine tasting from here, making it an ideal base for lovers of good food and drink. At home, the authentic Tuscan style, complete with frescoes, wooden beams and handcrafted furniture, make for a scenic backdrop as you relax in the evenings. And while the bathtub being in a bedroom might be inconvenient, it's still a perfect spot for unwinding.

A Dream of Tuscany

Located on a small family-run farm in Montespertoli, nestled in the gently rolling hills of Chianti, is this ‘Forno’ brick-style Italian home. Start your first evening here with the bottle of wine from your welcome basket which has been produced on the vineyard here, as you enjoy the incredible views from your private garden. Then, when you wake the next day, start your morning with a sugary sweet coffee – also provided in your welcome basket – before you relax in a deck chair with a good book. 

For those who love walking or cycling, this beautiful setting provides the perfect area for exploring, as the farm is surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and woodlands that you can wander freely. In the early evening, we would love to stop at the shaded terrace overlooking the large gardens to taste the farm’s wines, while admiring the view of the surrounding hills. 

Then for dinner, why not take advantage of the barbecue, and cook some delicious Spiedini skewers, to enjoy in Italian alfresco style with a glass of refreshing wine, accompanied by the fantastic vista on offer. When you retire inside, the home’s natural elements of stone walls, terracotta floors and wooden ceilings will keep the rooms pleasantly cool in the summer and warm in the winters, while the twentieth-century furnishings provide comfort for relaxing hours before bedtime. 

Chianti Cheers

You might think that you have to pick between homes that respect tradition and those that embrace more contemporary design, but villas such as this one in the Florentine countryside show that you can have both if you choose wisely.

Step behind the front door and you'll spot some of the rustic features common in the region's homes, be that wooden ceiling beams, stone archways or the large fireplace in the lounge. However, the glisteningly modern kitchen packed full of appliances will be a treat for the culinarily gifted among guests, and the bathrooms are equally as easy on the eye.

Perhaps the most striking recent addition to the address lies beyond the four walls in the shared garden – it's remarkably easy to picture long afternoons spent gliding through the swimming pool before drying off on a lounger under the Tuscan sun. The picturesque outdoor space is completed with a ping pong table and a private terrace on which to enjoy alfresco feasts.

The location is certainly secluded, but there's a shop 400 metres from the front door and a restaurant another 200 metres beyond that. You're more than welcome to spend your time exploring the local Poggiosole region, but the city of Florence takes about half an hour in the car to reach and rewards those that make the journey with some of the most famous artworks in the world.

Located in the heart of Tuscany, this apartment lies on a sustainable farm a short walk from the medieval village of San Donato in Poggio. For couples or small families looking for a stay amongst nature with a slow pace of life, look no further. The communal pool offers refreshing solace during the summer months and kids will love playing in the vast grounds, equipped with alfresco seating and gorgeous views. The apartment itself is old-fashioned but oh-so cosy, and while there's no oven or stove in the kitchen, you won't go hungry with the wood-burning oven on the terrace and the barbecue beneath the olive trees, not to mention the eateries and wineries of the surrounding villages.
