This private, Tuscan villa is situated in the heart of the Val di Cecina and is surrounded by beautiful scenery. A restored farmhouse that offers private bathrooms with each of its bedrooms, and a large communal area that is perfect for big family or friend reunions. While the professional kitchen is where you can cook delicious Italian cuisine to be enjoyed in the charming gazebo with its elegant dining area. 

During the day, you can lounge by the south-facing pool on the upper terrace of the garden which is cloaked by the silver of a grove of olive trees. Take in the panoramic views from the comfort of a shaded sunbed, or descend the Roman steps into the cool waters of the pool. 

Explore the shops, restaurants, piazzas, cafés, 12th-century Romanesque church, elegant 19th-century buildings, and the remains of fortresses in the historic town centre, just a fifteen-minute walk away.

This property is also part of an organic farm estate that produces extra virgin olive oil and quality wine. So, evenings can be spent sipping delicious Italian wines, alfresco as the sunsets – with tastings available directly in the villa, upon request.

Amor Dimora Toscana

This charming apartment is in the old town of Colle di Val d'Elsa, a typically medieval region of Tuscany famous for crystal glass production. It’s a ten-minute stroll into the centre where you’ll find restaurants, cafés and archaeological museums beyond the ancient town walls. Further afield, the city of Siena is a half-hour drive away, ideal for a day trip.

The apartment itself is housed in a striking 16th-century building just outside the bridge that leads to il Castello. Wood beams on display hark back to the building’s roots, but the decor is decidedly modern. Vibrant modern art is displayed above the plush, L-shaped sofa and the kitchen is a sleek space of white cabinets. The best bit is the view from French-style windows, which shows off golden fields and hills, even though you’re a short walk from the town centre.

Beyond the Bridge

Don’t be thrown by the neon pool umbrellas – everything else about this villa is pure class. Set in two square kilometres of gardens, with manicured lawns, fragrant herbs and towering cypress trees, it’s an imposing Tuscan country home, with two wings and a separate annexe. Found in Casino di Terra in Pisa province, its style could be described as “typically Tuscan”, with its whitewashed walls and terracotta tiles, bare stonework and exposed beams, making for a relaxing, traditional vibe. The two wing set-up makes it great for two families to share, especially as there’s a good mixture of double and single beds (including three rooms where you can choose to zip them together or separate them to suit). Throw in the pool area, with its outdoor shower and nighttime illumination, stone barbecue and a poolside portico for outdoor dining in all weathers, and you’ve got the makings of a seriously nice Italian holiday.


Twin Set & Pearls

This glorious villa is nestled amid the hills of Val di Cecina, within easy reach of Volterra, San  Gimignano, and Siena. From its raised position, it offers panoramic views of the countryside, adding to the tranquil vibe. The farmhouse, dating back to the mid 1800s, has been renovated to retain its charm while adding contemporary touches. We love the exposed beams and terracotta floors paired with floor-to-ceiling windows that show off the stunning vistas. Swim in the private pool in the well-kept garden, before dining on the terrace – it’s a splendid spot for sunset. 


Sunset on Stone

The good-looking interiors of this historic farmhouse and two guesthouses fringing Volterra are impressive – but it’s outside where the magic truly unfolds. Set within nearly two hectares of private grounds, the views of the rolling Tuscan hills are jaw-dropping – with a showpiece infinity pool perfectly placed to soak it all in. Gather everyone together for lively alfresco dinner parties on the terrace – your host can arrange for a private chef to do the cooking. You’ll need a car to explore here, and Florence, Pisa, and Siena are all within easy reach. Or keep things closer to home – the medieval frescoes and palazzos of hilltop Volterra are just a five-minute drive away.

The Volterra Chronicles

Gather up your favourite people and spend some quality time together at this tranquil home. Part of a traditional farmhouse, it's situated in a quiet corner of southwest Tuscany – when it comes to peace, perfect peace, it doesn't get much better than this. 

There are plenty of original features to admire inside, from the fireplace to the wooden ceiling beams. Budding chefs can practice their favourite Italian dishes in the kitchen, and serve up their culinary creations at the rustic table. Outside, you'll find a gorgeous covered space where you can relax and drink in the stunning views across the countryside. And, when the temperature rises, it's time to plunge into the sparkling swimming pool for a refreshing dip. 

There's still a working farm in the surrounding fields, and the host is happy to introduce kids to the animals or put you in touch with the local riding stables to arrange a hack. There are some charming walks nearby, and you can also drive to Monterufoli-Caselli Nature Reserve in just thirty minutes for adventures in the great outdoors. And, with the historic villages of Micciano and Libbiano both ten minutes away by car, there's plenty to keep you busy. 

Tuscan Travels

If you've ever imagined the quintessential Tuscan villa, this luxurious home in the hills between Florence and the sea is about as perfect as they come. Approached by a private drive lined with Mediterranean cypress trees, it's a breathtaking sight set among prime Tuscan countryside. Built around 1900 and fully restored in recent years, it's now a regal country home surrounded by glorious grounds of around three hectares, with wheat fields, olive groves, cypresses and flower borders.

The stunning views are best enjoyed from the many balconies and terraces, or from the beautiful infinity pool with its built-in hot tub, while other fabulous perks outside include the vegetable garden, chicken coop and children's treehouse, along with outdoor table tennis, a five-a-side football pitch and private fishing lake. 

Inside, it's a traditional and elegant home, with classical furnishings and tasteful decor. We love the period features like the terracotta floors, beamed ceilings, archways and fireplace, while the pretty country kitchen is enough to make any keen cook smile. The bedrooms are all romantic and comfortable, dressed with antique furniture and each boasting its own bathroom. Plus, there's an extensive wine cellar and, if you're a fitness fan, there's even a fully equipped gym in the nearby building.

If you don't feel like cooking, there's an on-site chef who can be hired to take care of it for you or you can arrange for some Tuscan cooking classes – paired with excellent local wine. Just a few minutes' drive from the hamlet of Iano, the location is perfect for reaching the art cities of Florence, Pisa, Siena and Lucca or medieval towns like Volterra and San Gimignano, while keen hikers and mountain bikers will love the surrounding hills. And for a day at the beach, the coast and places like Livorno are less than an hour away by car.



Golden Hills

Tucked away in the Tuscan countryside, this four-bedroom villa is a rural retreat that’s packed with charm and character. From the sunny pool area, set against a backdrop of rolling hills, to the rustic rooms with their terracotta floors and exposed beams, every space feels warm and welcoming. There’s a country kitchen for cooking up home-made meals (best enjoyed on the pretty terrace). And each bedroom has its own en-suite, so there’s plenty of space to get comfy. For a slice of local life, the nearby village has a bar and bakery, and the sights and delights of Tuscany are easily explored with this home as your base.

A Tuscan Pearl

This stone farmhouse sits in the hills of Montecatini Val di Cecina – right in the middle of a wine estate, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. Every bedroom opens straight into the garden, with one including its own kitchenette. Outside, there’s plenty to keep everyone occupied, from the pool and hot tub to a soon-to-be-opened tennis court, a children’s play area, and a sports pitch. Evenings are best spent under the pergola, where you’ll find a barbecue and wood-fired oven. You're also welcome to visit the winery for tastings. And when you want to explore, the coast is a forty-minute drive away, plus the nearby picturesque village of Montecatini Val di Cecina is close by. What's not to love?

Refined Tuscany

In the undulating Tuscan countryside, this villa sits atop a hill, right on the ancient oil and wine route through olive groves and vineyards. It’s a fifteen-minute drive from Volterra, a medieval walled town with plenty of farm-to-table restaurants and old churches to explore. And Siena is just under an hour’s drive for a day trip.

Panoramic views take centre stage outdoors, where raised terraces can provide shaded spots for meals outside. From a poolside lounger, you can admire the forest-clad hills around you, before slipping into the turquoise pool to cool off from the sun. Aperitivo is best served on the first-floor terrace, where comfy seating looks out over the countryside.

The villa may have the stone facade and arched windows of a traditional Tuscan farmhouse, but the wall of glass in the living and dining room is a testament to the 21st century. There’s more than enough room for the group to spread out and dine together at two banquet-sized tables inside. Unwind beneath a brick vaulted ceiling in the evening. Chefs will feel right at home in the kitchen – all chrome and steel like the professional kitchens of a Michelin-starred restaurant, but with a wood-topped pasta-making table straight out of a 19th-century farmhouse. 

Hillside Vines

Originally a small, rural stone building, this villa has been extended and modernised, allowing it to blend into the landscape. And what a setting it is, the views of the Tuscan countryside are beautiful – enjoy them from the swimming pool (heated for a fee) and the hot tub. Inside, there's plenty of room to entertain your family or friends, and if you must work while on holiday, well there are a couple of workstations in two bedrooms. We'd also recommend a car to get the most out of the area. You'll find Volterra 14 kilometres and San Gimignano 18 kilometres away.

Villa of Tranquility

Set amid beautiful green countryside just outside the pretty medieval town of Volterra, this striking stone home – which was originally constructed to serve as a watchtower – is brimming with quintessential Tuscan charm and a host of handy amenities, making it the perfect base from which to set out and explore the highlights of the local area.

Spend days unwinding within the tranquil environs of the home and its sprawling gardens filled with mature trees and boasting a lovely fenced swimming pool area. Grab a book and delve into its pages in the shade of one of these trees, or catch some of the Southern Italian sunshine, before dipping into the refreshing waters of the pool as the aromas from the garden's many plants hang heavy in the air. 

Leaving the grounds of the home, you'll find yourself within easy reach of typical towns of the region, including historic Volterra and San Gimignano, as well as Florence and Siena, where you will be able to sample not only the local way of life but also the fabulously flavourful Tuscan cuisine. Beach bunnies may well also rejoice as the gorgeous stretches of soft sand lining the Tyrrhenian Sea are also readily accessible.
With bellies rumbling, you can either put the well-equipped traditional kitchen to the test and try your hand at replicating old favourites and new delicacies discovered on your sojourns of the local area. Or, make your way to one of the numerous nearby trattorias and spend the evening feasting alfresco.
