Set over the rolling Prosecco hills (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), this oasis of grandeur in Treviso is a sparkling example of how to live an opulent and luxurious lifestyle. Built in 1820, the villa consists of everything you could wish for and more. From the vast gardens, surrounding vineyards and parkland brimming with fruit, vegetables and flowers to the expansive interiors designed with a neoclassical architecture bursting with elegance, this home is sure to wow anyone who steps foot on its grounds.

With an emphasis on leisure and relaxation, home highlights include an in-house spa equipped with its own bathroom, shower, sauna, whirlpool hydro massage tub and gym, as well as a second jacuzzi hot tub outside alongside the saltwater swimming pool in the garden. Of course, there's no better place to admire the views than when sunbathing by the pool during the heat of the day or from the patio's hot tub with a glass of local Prosecco in hand as the sun goes down.

Also, on the ground floor, you'll find an elegant courtyard that leads through the large French windows to an indoor relaxation area, equipped with sofas and a billiard table – it provides the perfect games night set up. The charm of this home rests in its infinite list of hidden surprises, in each and every room, prepare to be amazed at the never-ending array of things to see and do. At the heart of the home, there is a vast living room of nearly 200 square metres – furnished with amenities; it is divided into several zones to enjoy moments of solitude while still spending quality time as one big group. From the relaxation zone with a TV and the reading area with an extensive well-stocked library to the kitchen and dining area – we love how the layout and open space of the main living quarters creates a sociable space to enjoy together.

Take a stroll in the gardens, where tall trees and plants form a serene setting for strolling amidst the abundance of flora and fauna. If you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of the fish and turtles swimming in the pond. Once you've taken it all in, head back to the Mediterranean conservatory lounge for some shisha and herbal tea. From there, the world is your oyster. Why not book a massage at the spa? Or head out to discover the local town of Vitorio Venito steeping in history. It's safe to say we wouldn't recommend leaving here without going on a wine tour and tastings of one of the local Prosecco vineyards either.

Prosecco Mansion

Tucked into the quiet hamlet of Andrich, this timber-clad apartment feels like a proper mountain retreat – the kind where you wake up to Dolomite peaks and take your morning coffee on the terrace before the trails call. The living space is warm and Alpine in character, opening onto views across the surrounding forests and village. It's a simple, well-considered base for two, and the UNESCO-listed landscape of the Dolomites is right on the doorstep – with Marmolada, the 'Queen of the Dolomites' and its glacier, about fifty-five minutes away by car.

Andrich at Rest

Perched on a working farm in the South Tyrolean village of Gais, this apartment earns its keep through a panoramic terrace where the Dolomites fill the horizon at golden hour – the kind of view you linger over long after the plates are cleared. Inside, warm Alpine character carries through the living area, with a large dining table that makes it easy to settle in as a group. A welcome drink is included, breakfast can be arranged for a fee, and you can buy produce straight from the farm's vegetable patch. The surrounding region delivers year-round, too. The charming town of Brunico, as well as Kronplatz, one of the Dolomites' most accessible ski and hiking areas, are close at hand.

Sunset in the Dolomites

Sitting right in the middle of the Alpine town of Cortina D'Amprezzo, this recently refurbished apartment has a rather suave style that piqued our interest, not to mention some pretty views of the local town and the surrounding mountainsides that you can enjoy from the small terrace. We won't lie, we've seen bigger kitchens and bedrooms, but we'd be willing to overlook this, particularly as the lifts to both Tofana and Faloria ski slopes lie so close to the front door. Oh, and did we mention that there's a sauna to warm up in afterwards? Well, there is.

Naturally Handsome

Situated south of the glamorous centre of Cortina d’Ampezzo, this charming pine-clad apartment offers easy access to some of the best skiing, mountain biking and hiking terrain that Italy has to offer. But that's not all. It also happens to be one of the best resorts in the Dolomites for those who prefer their holidays a little less exhilarating – with winter walking, skating, boutique shopping and fine dining on offer.

With copious amounts of wood teamed with a traditional rustic mountain design, the apartment makes for a welcoming high-altitude escape for a family or group of friends. A cosy living and dining space contains sufficient corners for everyone to claim a spot, with the adjacent kitchen equipped for all your needs despite its compact size.

Elsewhere, three cosy bedrooms offer a hygge-inspired haven of comfy beds and untreated wood. Every possible effort has been made to use natural materials wherever possible. Perhaps the standout feature of the entire home is the stunning wooden bath – perfect for a luxuriant soak after a long day in the mountains.

Wild Pine

There are a lot of things we like about this lodge in the Alpine village of Cortina d'Amprezzo, but we'd be lying if we didn't single out the rather lovely view from the balcony as our standout highlight – from this spot, it's possible to gaze out over the locale's rooftops and dramatically beautiful mountains beyond.

Back inside, the interior design is as rustic as you might imagine, with an abundance of wood in everything from the walls and floors to the furnishings and finishes. A few pieces of artwork and natural decorative items lend a little character, while the horseshoe-shaped kitchen has enough space for cooking up hearty dinners when you're fresh off the slopes.

Ah yes, skiing – there's plenty of opportunity for winter sports here, with lifts up to the slopes lying within walking distance. Even closer, there are restaurants, shops and a museum within the town to explore.

Pass Me My Paintbrush

This farmhouse in Belvedere di Povoletto combines rustic character with modern comfort. Inside, you’ll find a spacious living and dining area with a fireplace, a practical kitchen, and sloping-ceiling bedrooms upstairs that add plenty of charm. Outside, the private terrace is set up with furniture and a barbecue, while the large shared garden offers a pool surrounded by lawns and plants. With Udine just 10km away and the historic town of Cividale del Friuli within easy reach, it’s a peaceful countryside setting with plenty to explore nearby.
