In a grand Venetian palazzo, this amazing home is not the kind of place that you come across every day. Relax with a glass of Prosecco on the altana, a typical Venetian rooftop terrace – we love the breathtaking 360-degree views of the city.

Inside, with its ornate furniture, beautiful paintings and baroque atmosphere, you can imagine hosting a masquerade within its walls. It encapsulates the beauty and richness of this once-mighty empire. This home has probably one of the comfiest sofas – it's made of down and feather, so it's very soft, and you'll sink right into it – we felt like Lord Byron lounging here.

The location is as splendid as this apartment – historic Piazza San Marco and Accademia Bridge are just over a five-minute stroll. Opera lovers will be over the moon to learn that Teatro La Fenice is a mere three-minute saunter. Your lovely hosts can arrange cultural guides and boat excursions to ensure you get the most out of your time in this stunning city.


Masque Ball

This stylish Venetian apartment offers a charming canal view and a private outside space. As if that wasn't enough, it's been recently renovated so you've got high-end touches and all the modern comforts you could wish for from the moment you arrive. In fact, contemporary style sits side by side with original features in this charming pad. 

Just a short walk from the lively Campo Santa Margherita and the Zattere, with its stunning views of the beautiful architecture and iconic canals. Surrounded by restaurants and cafes, while many of the city's most celebrated attractions are easily reachable on foot, including the Gallerie dell'Accademia, you really couldn't be better placed. There are romantic gondola rides to enjoy, and hidden wine bars to discover. 

When you return home, you can make the most of the good weather by gathering your group outside. The apartment is tucked away within a friendly residential neighbourhood, where you can sit out and enjoy dinner and drinks alfresco on your covered terrace, savouring the balmy summer evenings. 

My Venetian Terrace

Located just moments from the iconic La Fenice Opera House and five minutes on foot from San Marco Square, this is as central as Venice apartments get. Not that you’d know it – despite its location, guests rave about how quiet it is at night here. Well-suited for a small family or group of friends sharing, there’s a sofa bed in the lounge area to sleep an additional guest. The desk space tucked away in a nook off the bedroom is a bonus, too, for anyone planning to work remotely.

Murano Pearl

Set along the Zattere waterfront in Dorsoduro, this apartment offers wide views of the Giudecca Canal and the Church of the Redentore. Inside, traditional details like beamed ceilings, terrazzo floors and stucco walls give plenty of Venetian character, while modern touches make it easy to feel at home. Step outside and you’re just a short stroll from the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and Punta della Dogana. Vaporetto stops are close by too, taking you quickly to Piazza San Marco, the Lido and other corners of the city.

The well-equipped modern kitchen is handy for those wanting to whip up Venetian dishes, and you can take your meal out to the shared terrace for an alfresco feast. The apartment is located in a historic palazzo on the Grand Canal, with water taxi stops nearby, and iconic St Mark’s Square just a three-minute walk away.

The Canal Lounge

This elegant home is the ideal bolthole for those visiting Venice. It’s in a quiet neighbourhood – Campo Santo Stefano – close to every sight Venice has to offer, but away from the crowds. 

The apartment is a grand family home, with traditional touches like the wood-beamed ceilings. It’s on the fourth floor, and from the windows you can see a pretty skyscape of Venetian rooftops all the way to the Grand Canal. Even more amazingly for Venice, this building has an elevator so those four floors are no trouble at all. 

Take your morning coffee on the balcony, then head out to explore the city. The Vaporetto stop at Santa Maria del Giglio is five minutes from the apartment, so it’s easy to get out on the lagoon. The glorious views from Ponte dell’Accademia can be found just five minutes away, while Piazza San Marco is a ten-minute stroll. Rialto Bridge is nine minutes from the apartment – stroll across it with a gelato for a cheeky touristy moment. 

Calle XXII Marzo, an upmarket avenue of high-end boutiques, is just seven minutes from the apartment. Whether you’re flashing the cash or window shopping, it’s worth a wander. 

However you spend your time in Venice, you’ll be glad to be doing so here. This apartment is comfortable and bright, and in an unbeatable location. 


A Taste Of Venice

This sweet apartment is the perfect place to call home during a whirlwind getaway to the iconic city of Venice. It's part of a recently converted palace in the Campo San Maurizio, just across from the Museum of Music – and the interior is just as fabulous as the location. 

You'll fall in love with the lavish pink velvet sofa – it's ideal for stretching out and sipping cocktails as you plan your itinerary. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need to cook up a tasty Italian feast, which you can serve at the chic dining space. Bedrooms don't come much more decadent than these ones, which are decked out with ornate headboards and traditional wooden beams – and they all have their very own ensuite bathrooms too. 

From here, you're just a ten-minute walk away from both the world-famous St Mark's Square and the Basilica di Santa Maria Della Salute, so ticking off your sightseeing list couldn't be easier. The Sant' Angelo water taxi stop is only two minutes away from the apartment if you'd prefer to travel by canal, and there are also countless restaurants nearby when you need to refuel along the way.  

Strawberry Gelato

It would be reasonable to expect somewhere in San Marco, right by the Grand Canal, to be pretty busy, with streams of tourists winding their way along the streets outside. We can’t stress how little that matches up to the reality of A Call For Quiet. It’s incredibly peaceful, and a wonderful atmosphere to return to after a long day of walking around the city.


A Call For Quiet

Located in one of the most interesting districts of Venice, this home is the ideal base for those who want to visit all the major Venetian museums including the Galleria dell'Accademia and the Guggenheim Museum. What’s more, it is also distant enough from the crowded tourist spots to offer a more authentic, local feel to your stay. 

The home’s crowning glory, however, is its two large terraces, one of which is sheltered by a beautiful arch of plants that creates a great shaded outdoor spot, even on the hottest of days. After a day exploring the city – admiring the views on Accademia Bridge and roaming the waters on a boat excursion – enjoy a perfect alfresco dinner of Italian pizza on pasta on the fantastic terrace, perched above the middle of the city.

Arose at Dawn

Nestled in the storied quarter of San Marco, this apartment is packed with Venetian grandeur. Artwork, gold accents, and antiques all combine together to create a unique hideaway. There's plenty of room for a small group between the lounge, dining room, and two traditional bedrooms. It won't suit those looking for modern touches (though there are plenty of contemporary comforts inside), but it suits the historic surroundings perfectly. Speaking of setting, you'll be in the heart of Venice here. Landmarks like the famous Accademia Bridge and Piazza San Marco are within easy reach – not to mention an array of eateries and shops.

Gold Touch

Featured in the London Evening Standard’s Home and Property pages, this beautiful home in Venice’s Dorsoduro neighbourhood is an oasis of sun-dappled calm in the city. 
 
Boasting a glorious private garden, you’ll feel perfectly serene as you enjoy an aperitivo and an alfresco meal beneath the large vine-covered pergola or while catching some rays on the deck chairs on sunny afternoons. 
 
Inside, the decor is an elegant blend of Old World charm and rustic chic, with beamed ceilings in the cream-coloured living area and three classically-styled bedrooms, two of which have en-suites. We love the main bedroom’s luxurious tub and the rainfall showers in the other two bathrooms too. 
 
While you could easily spend all day in your swish pad, go out and explore the many sights around you. You’re a three-minute walk from the grand Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute, a four-minute stroll from the Gallerie dell'Accademia, while bustling St. Mark's Square is fifteen minutes away on foot and by water bus. With your host able to organise a plethora of fun and activities too – including wine tastings, cooking classes, city tours and skippered boat excursions to the Venetian Lagoon – you can be sure to experience Venice in style.
