The jagged coastline caters to a whole range of visitors, from surfers who like to ride the bay's impressive waves to photographers keen on catching the beautiful light. Or go for a hike on Shelter Cove Beach, a six-minute stroll away. There's an array of surf shops and some fantastic local eateries on your doorstep too. For a more action-packed day trip, San Francisco and all it has to offer is just a twenty-five-minute drive from this home. Chic, coastal-inspired interiors, polished concrete floors, and vast windows make it a delight to stay here. We love the vistas over Pedro Point from the living room and balcony – enjoy a glass of Californian rosé wine while enjoying the views. Later whip up a Clam Chowder in the kitchen before relaxing on the comfy sofa – this place is all about unwinding.

Petite yet perfectly equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay, this bright home in Pacifica is ready to welcome you into a blissful coastal break. With its large windows, there’s plenty of California sun that pours in creating a dazzling effect against the neutral decor that’s sprinkled with reclaimed wood. There's a harmony here between the natural world and modern sophistication to create a home that is as sleek as it is serene. Our favourite spot, however, is the wraparound balcony – the ideal place to sip your morning coffee or watch the sunset over the mountains over a glass of wine.  Outside of your home, you’ve got plenty of cute surf shops and cafes on your way to Pacifica State Beach (a ten-minute walk) – a favourite for surfers, photographers and nature enthusiasts – while San Francisco waits to be explored, just twenty minutes away by car.

Overlooking beautiful Donner Lake, which sits on the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada, guests will find a home that will perfectly suit a small family.  The first bedroom has a king-size bed, while bedroom two is made up of a queen-size bunk bed. More importantly, guests have easy access to the lake so make sure to pack your swimsuits and any floating devices. Wander around the edge of the lake and you'll come across charming cafes, restaurants and shops. We would, however, still recommend having a car in order to explore all this area has to offer.

The vista is a sight to behold when the sun rises, flooding the modern lounge with light. The kitchen with its Viking gourmet range is perfect for entertaining, or you can grill dinner on the barbecue and enjoy a meal at the salvaged wood farm table. We love the raised garden beds full of seasonal vegetables and herbs – perfect for using in your cooking. With its multiple terraces and separate one bedroom casita, this home is just the ticket for a group of friends or multi-generational family wanting their own space. If you fancy venturing out, Downtown Sonoma is around a 5-minute drive away, but we really wouldn't blame you if you didn't want to step a foot away from this truly magical place.

Along with the sheer size, which makes it excellent for larger groups and multiple families, the home has pretty much every amenity you can think of, from the private spa (with sauna and steam room), two barbecues, enormous TVs, a games room, and even underfloor heating (a game-changer after skiing, trust us). Enjoy blissful homemade meals and barbecues on the terrace featuring an alfresco dining area before watching the sunset from the hot tub. You'll find further entertainment amenities on the second terrace, including a ping pong table and enough space to practice yoga at sunrise. 

In the backyard, warm up around the fire pit as night falls, and make the most of the solid stone loungers during the daytime of the warmer months spent here. With the magic of the sea, sun, and stars surrounding you at Half Moon Bay, this incredible home is the perfect weekend retreat for a family, only twenty minutes away from San Fransisco. Charge the Tesla at the EV charging station and then explore the trails of the National Forest backing the house or pack your beach bag and stop by the Pacific Ocean, a fifteen-minute stroll away. Sip on sundowners whilst soaking in the hot tub and watch the sunset over the ocean. As the stars speckle the sky, light the fire pit to keep the night going. Kids will be thrilled with the tree-house style bunk beds, a playroom packed with laser tag and a mountain of lego, the big screen projector in the den and the virtual reality set-up. Outside, this place has the wood-tiled cladding and white bannisters of a traditional Bay Area home, but the curved wall of windows in the double-height living room creates a modern feel. A chef’s kitchen comes equipped with more than you need for self-catering – there’s a chef’s torch for those who fancy whipping up a creme brulee – and a collection of spices, oils and condiments are yours to use. Should you need to catch up on some work, there are a plethora of modern office spaces tucked away too.

From here, you can also spot the sixteenth-hole of the Tahoe Donner Golf Course, which is surely worth a visit if you enjoy the game of golf. Spend your days swimming in any of the area’s magical lakes, enjoy exclusive skiing in colder months or just hang back at the home and relax with a great book and even better company. However you choose to spend your time here, you’ll be glad to soak your tired muscles in the outdoor hot tub at the end of a long day.

If you’re not hitting the building’s private gym, perhaps take a jog through Bedwell Bayfront Park, a five-minute walk away. For a day out in the city, San Francisco is just a half-hour drive away (or fifty minutes on the train from Redwood). 

Apart from a private gym, the building is also home to a huge outdoor swimming pool, surrounded by outdoor lounges with fire pits for cool evenings. The town is less than five minutes away by car, with fifteen minutes to St Helena and Calistoga, and you're surrounded by the area's finest wineries – just take your pick and experience the views, the atmosphere and of course taste the wines produced in this special spot.

Nestled in the city of Roseville, California, this modern home is great for friends and families. Well-behaved pets are welcome for an additional fee, and your host can provide a cot and safety equipment for little ones. You'll find a gym, shops, and Blue Oaks Park within walking distance. That said, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay here – it's less than an hour's drive to Sacramento, and a couple of hours into San Francisco for day trips.

San Francisco’s iconic cable car runs just in front of the building to whisk you away to all the famous tourist spots, and you’ve got 24th Street, with its bakeries, cafes, and cheese and wine shops, on your doorstep. And when you’re not busy sightseeing, you can relax on the private, sunny balcony or enjoy a meal around the ten-seater dining table. While babies and teenagers are welcome here, the home isn’t suitable for children aged 2 to 12.
