This luxurious hideaway combines the privacy of a luxury estate, the restorative energy of immersion in nature, and the warmth and attention to detail. Create culinary magic in a professional standard chef's kitchen, and make the most of multiple indoor and outdoor seating areas where you're free to curl up with a good book and immerse yourself in the sounds of Mother Nature, as amplified music isn't permitted outdoors. 

The property sprawls well beyond the confines of the comfortable, with outdoor sofas and a fire pit, an inviting private pool and, of course, a relaxing hammock swaying in the breeze. There are horse stables for rides through the surrounding redwood forest and you're welcome to bring your own horses and family pets along for the break if you'd like.

If you can tear yourself away from this tranquil haven, you're 4.7 miles from downtown Healdsburg – it's a 10-minute drive to all the fabulous wineries, shops and some fantastic restaurants that specialise in everything from Spanish tapas to steak frites and stunning fresh seafood. 

Sonoma Sanctuary

City life feels like a distant memory from the moment you walk into this beautiful Californian home. Ideal for two couples, or individuals, the house is set across two levels, with a large, terraced garden and several decks with views across the majestic Sonoma Mountains. Outdoor living is a way of life here, with an open-air spa-style shower, outdoor grill for those balmy evenings, and plenty of seating on the decks for relaxing with a book or soaking up the afternoon sun. Take your pick from the seasonal fruit trees in the garden, cook lazy suppers in the recently remodelled kitchen and relax in the lounge with views of misty peaks through the large windows. If you fancy venturing out, you’re within walking distance of a number of restaurants and cafes, and just a bike ride from the many gorgeous vineyards in the area. For world-class hiking and biking, Sonoma Regional Park (11 mins drive) and Sugarloaf Ridge State Park (17 mins) aren’t much further away. 

Cherries & Plums

Tucked away in the serene coastal community of Pedro Point, this modern cabin offers the perfect escape to the shores of the Pacific Ocean. Located just a nine-minute walk from Pacifica State Beach and a six-minute stroll from Shelter Cove Beach – you'll be blown away by the bay's beauty, making it a popular spot for photographers. It's also a favourite amongst surfers, so whether you like to be part of the action or watch it all from a safe distance, Pacifica State Beach caters to all. There is a range of surf shops and some great local eateries on your doorstep too. For those who want to see more than just the coast, San Francisco is less than a twenty-five-minute drive away. When you're done exploring all that the San Francisco Peninsula has to offer, head home and rustle up a cioppino in the modern kitchen. We love the balcony with its views over the neighbourhood – perfect for a sundowner. Black Walnut Cove

This delightful Wine Country home is a superb choice for a family or group of friends hoping to relax, unwind, and try some of California’s finest tipples. A newly built cottage, this home sits just eight miles from Healdsburg Plaza, and a few minutes from Lake Sonoma. It’s far enough from town to feel like a real retreat, but you’re within easy reach of anything you might need. Best of all, there are dozens of wineries within minutes. 

As soon as you arrive, you’ll be taken by the stunning vineyard views – this really is a pretty setting. The home has been designed in the style of an Italian villa, with wooden floors and stylish decor. It’s wonderfully comfortable too – after a long day, you can curl up in front of the fireplace to sip tea and enjoy a moment of tranquillity. The kitchen is wonderfully well stocked with utensils so you can whip up feasts with no trouble at all – or, easier still, book a private chef to wow your guests. 

The porch is a strong contender for our favourite spot. Take a seat in a rocking chair as the sun is sinking in the sky, and sip a glass of the wine you most enjoyed that day. You’ll feel a million miles from the hustle and bustle. Continue to unwind by slipping into the hot tub. After one last glass of wine and a few marshmallows toasted over the fire pit, you’ll be ready to sink into a comfortable bed for an excellent night’s sleep. We love it here. 


Cabernet Cottage

This comfortable North Lake Tahoe home couldn't be better placed to enjoy the lake in the summer and surrounding mountains during the colder months. Watercraft rentals are available to pick up literally seconds away - plus there's access to a private part of the beach with fire pits and loungers available for guests in the complex. While skiing, snowboarding and hiking are possible at Northstar, ten minutes away by car, and Alpine/Squaw, twenty minutes away. The home is light, friendly and cheerful, and is sure to please families and guests of all ages. 

Down by the Shoreline

Set in Menlo Park within the San Francisco Bay Area of California – you'll be just a fifteen-minute drive away from the world-renowned Silicon Valley, home to the iconic Meta headquarters. Blending city living with an abundance of local nature, you'll find plenty of things to do here, come day and night. Take a short scenic walk to Bedwell Bayfront Park or discover the local restaurants, bars and nightlife with this brand-new apartment as your swanky base. 

Offering a hotel-like experience, this cutting edge condo comes with complete access to an array of incredible on-site amenities. The overall laid-back aesthetic gives us coffee shop vibes – we can hear the mellow soundtrack already.

While at the flat, you'll enjoy your own slice of privacy amidst a contemporary setting, you'll likely prefer to spend much of your time making the most of the communal social spaces. The residency was designed with leisure at its core, from the rooftop terrace with a fire pit and barbecue to the outdoor swimming pool and hot tub area. You'll also have access to a large gym, yoga studio and a self-serving coffee cafe. Come evening time; you may even hear the sports lounge, bar and games room calling your name for some fun.

Across the complex, there are plenty of seating areas where those working remotely can knuckle down to concentrate, or perhaps the living room of your apartment is better suited if you need your own quiet space? 



Coffee Shop Soundtrack

Seaside cabins don’t come much more charming than this. Nestled in the quiet neighbourhood of Cambria, and just steps away from the beach, you’ll find this gem of a home dating back to 1937. Recently renovated, inside it’s all fresh and light interiors, with just the right touch of coastal accents to nod to the coast. Wake up each morning to the sounds of distant waves in the serene crow’s nest bedroom upstairs, before opening the curtains to reveal a glimpse of the sea.  Outside, there’s a spacious yard hugging all sides of the home to give a feeling of privacy and offering plenty of entertaining spaces. Take your pick from two fire pit seating areas adorned with festoon lighting – there’s a spot in the secluded backyard or out front for sunset views. Foodies will love the Traeger barbeque, complete with a wifi app and meat probe that alerts you when your meat is cooked to perfection. We’re particularly fond of the quaint outdoor shower area. It’s perfect for washing off sandy feet from a day at the beach or cooling down after a hike in Fiscalini Ranch Preserve – both within walking distance. Or simply for showering under the stars as the fire pit blazes in the distance, just because you can.

Crow's Nest

With its dark wooden frames and surrounding woodland, this home makes for a cosy stay despite its large size. Spread across a few floors, this impressive and innovative spot is somewhere between a townhouse and a lodge. It is just outside of the city centre of Truckee, surrounded by parkland and a river that keeps you close to nature.

In winter, watch snow grace the terrain and head to one of the ski resorts surrounding Lake Tahoe. The lake itself is a family paradise in the summer months when you can kayak and swim in it.

Back home, explore the nooks and crannies on each floor before curling up with a book by the living room fireplace. Lie on the plump sofas and make use of the large bathtubs to unwind after a day of skiing. The kitchen is modern and stylish, while the terrace is the perfect spot for lunch.

Baby It's Cold Outside

The majority offer direct access to the gorgeous garden, with an outdoor dining set, comfortable seating beneath the pergola, and a summer house set slightly away from the property. So whether you're looking to start a bit of friendly competition with a game of two-on-two basketball or seek a secluded spot to read your book, there's a space to suit.

Just a few miles away, the small-town charm of Occidental is well worth a visit. A blend of creatives and Old West ranching families, the town offers a selection of excellent eateries and a weekly farmers market (open seasonally on Fridays from 4pm-8pm). Elsewhere the towering redwoods of central Sonoma County are calling out to be explored in tandem with your four-legged friend. Finally, the beautiful Bodega Bay is approximately 10 miles away, offering scenic hiking and biking trails with magnificent Pacific Ocean vistas.

Taylor Ridge Retreat

Overlooking beautiful Donner Lake, which sits on the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada, guests will find a home that will perfectly suit a small family.  The first bedroom has a king-size bed, while bedroom two is made up of a queen-size bunk bed. More importantly, guests have easy access to the lake so make sure to pack your swimsuits and any floating devices. Wander around the edge of the lake and you'll come across charming cafes, restaurants and shops. We would, however, still recommend having a car in order to explore all this area has to offer.

Seghesio Family Vineyards is a favourite among zinfandels fans and only 1.5 miles away, alternatively pack a picnic and head to Healdsburg Ridge Open Space Preserve, 3.4 miles away.
