The kitchen with its Viking gourmet range is perfect for entertaining, or you can grill dinner on the barbecue and enjoy a meal at the salvaged wood farm table. We love the raised garden beds full of seasonal vegetables and herbs – perfect for using in your cooking. With its multiple terraces and separate one bedroom casita, this home is just the ticket for a group of friends or multi-generational family wanting their own space. If you fancy venturing out, Downtown Sonoma is around a 5-minute drive away, but we really wouldn't blame you if you didn't want to step a foot away from this truly magical place.

Now, although their ancestor is just a statue, the chickens are very real – find them in their coop when you’re making the rounds outdoors. Pass through trees, make your way up and down steps as you stretch out and shake off the last dregs of sleep, and refresh yourself with a morning swim before going back inside to brew a pot of fresh coffee. 

Take breakfasts out on the patio – chances are you might even enjoy a scramble of fresh eggs, courtesy of the chickens – and when you’re ready to start exploring, head out to any one of the beaches that await you on the other end of a short drive. Golfers can tee off at one of two courses only minutes away, and nature lovers can get up close and personal with the native beauty of California by setting off on the hiking trails.

Wonderfully positioned to make the most of this coastal area – this home is a nine-minute walk from Pacifica State Beach. The jagged coastline caters to a whole range of visitors, from surfers who like to ride the bay's impressive waves to photographers keen on catching the beautiful light. Or go for a hike on Shelter Cove Beach, a six-minute stroll away. There's an array of surf shops and some fantastic local eateries on your doorstep too. For a more action-packed day trip, San Francisco and all it has to offer is just a twenty-five-minute drive from this home. We love the vistas over Pedro Point from the living room and balcony – enjoy a glass of Californian rosé wine while enjoying the views. The first bedroom has a king-size bed, while bedroom two is made up of a queen-size bunk bed. More importantly, guests have easy access to the lake so make sure to pack your swimsuits and any floating devices. Wander around the edge of the lake and you'll come across charming cafes, restaurants and shops. We would, however, still recommend having a car in order to explore all this area has to offer.

This delightful Wine Country home is a superb choice for a family or group of friends hoping to relax, unwind, and try some of California’s finest tipples. A newly built cottage, this home sits just eight miles from Healdsburg Plaza, and a few minutes from Lake Sonoma. It’s far enough from town to feel like a real retreat, but you’re within easy reach of anything you might need. Best of all, there are dozens of wineries within minutes. 

As soon as you arrive, you’ll be taken by the stunning vineyard views – this really is a pretty setting. The home has been designed in the style of an Italian villa, with wooden floors and stylish decor. It’s wonderfully comfortable too – after a long day, you can curl up in front of the fireplace to sip tea and enjoy a moment of tranquillity. The kitchen is wonderfully well stocked with utensils so you can whip up feasts with no trouble at all – or, easier still, book a private chef to wow your guests. 

The porch is a strong contender for our favourite spot. Take a seat in a rocking chair as the sun is sinking in the sky, and sip a glass of the wine you most enjoyed that day. You’ll feel a million miles from the hustle and bustle. Continue to unwind by slipping into the hot tub. After one last glass of wine and a few marshmallows toasted over the fire pit, you’ll be ready to sink into a comfortable bed for an excellent night’s sleep. We love it here.
