Golden Blossom

The pizza oven beside the pool is reason enough to linger at this wine country house in Boyes Hot Springs – fire it up at dusk, dine alfresco, and you'll barely need a reason to leave. Inside, a dedicated cinema room with an oversized sofa makes evenings in just as easy, while the main suite's freestanding soaking tub is built for slow mornings. Sonoma Valley's vineyard estates are within easy reach, and Sonoma State Historic Park is a fifteen-minute drive away.

Vines & Velvet

Perched above the Sonoma Valley, this villa delivers the kind of hilltop infinity pool views that make it hard to leave. Floor-to-ceiling windows pull the golden landscape inside, while the generous terraces – complete with a barbecue, fire pit, and hot tub – give you every reason to stay out until the light fades. When the evening calls for something livelier, a games room with a pool table and marble bar is waiting. Benziger Family Winery and Jack London State Park are just minutes away, making the surrounding wine country as rewarding as the villa itself.

Sonoma Heights

Perched on eleven-plus private acres above Healdsburg wine country, this off-grid house earns its silence. A saltwater pool sits beneath towering redwoods, a hot tub and fire pit anchor the decks for evenings that stretch on, and valley views open up in every direction. Three separate structures – main house, detached guest room, and cabin – give a group plenty of room to breathe. Complimentary tastings at Sonoma County wineries make the surrounding landscape feel like part of the stay, not just the backdrop.

Vines & Redwoods

Perched on a private ridge, we invite you to take a lungful of some of the purest air in mainland USA and step inside this charming single-storey home, which enjoys spectacular views over its 14-acre vineyard and the pristine waters of Clear Lake.

Everything about this elegantly designed building aims to accentuate the natural beauty on the doorstep. A wall of clear glass panes slides back to reveal a front-row set of six Adirondack seats where you can sit and take in the vista. This expansive wooden deck also includes an outdoor dining table and is bookended by an inviting infinity pool at one end and a Jacuzzi at the other – perfect for cooling daytime dips or sundowner soaks.

The effortless flow between the exterior and interior continues throughout the home, with a vast multipurpose space forming the nucleus around which all things entertainment, socialisation and food-related rotate. We can easily imagine an early start for a challenging hike along the trails that crisscross the nearby countryside, or a paddleboarding session out on the water, before returning home for a relaxing day by the pool with a glass of cab sav in hand, only getting up to top up your glass and grab snacks the kitchen.

A Life On the Water

This beautiful home situated in the centre of Healdsburg dates back to the 1880s. Beautifully restored, it offers a charming and cosy base for those visiting Wine Country and looking to make the most out of their stay. Just moments away from the famous Plaza and its many wine-tasting options, as well as plenty of shops and restaurants, this home is a true gem.

The lovely exterior hints at the home’s rich history, and the cosy veranda is a great place to relax in one of the rocking chairs, sipping a glass of wine and enjoying the slow pace of California living. For a more private experience, the back garden is fully-fenced and it offers plenty of space for lounging about and sharing alfresco feasts with your friends and family.

Inside, you’ll be charmed by the elegant living room and the large dining area, both filled with streams of light and decorated with great attention by the host. We love the plush furnishings and the dazzling lighting fixtures, creating an effortlessly stylish effect. Rustle up delicious meals in the well-stocked kitchen and organise a family get-together at the dining table.

A night of restful sleep awaits upstairs in the comfy bedrooms – wake up feeling restored and ready for some leisurely exploring. Aside from wine, there are also many other things to love about this area. With gorgeous nature and countless hiking opportunities, there’s no better place to relax and leave the troubles of city living behind.

Sideways to Happiness

Set on the edge of Healdsburg wine country, this single-level home is the kind of place where days blur pleasantly into evenings. A private pool sits at the heart of the outdoor space, surrounded by greenery and vineyard views, while a fire pit and outdoor fireplace give the terrace a pull long after the sun drops. There's a bocce court, a kids' play area, and a dedicated workout room for anyone who needs to balance the indulgence. Healdsburg's celebrated square and its restaurants are close enough to make a spontaneous dinner easy.

Bocce & Vine

Escape to the (wine) country with a stay at this stunning single-storey home, complete with its own vineyard. Vast floor-to-ceiling sliding doors reflect that life here is best lived outside, while its single-storey layout and open living spaces encourage you to spend time together inside and out. All this is only aided by your host's "take a bottle, leave a bottle" policy.

Help yourself from the extensive selection before topping it back up with a bottle from one of several nearby vineyards. We can picture spending endless sun-soaked days sipping sauvignon blanc out on the front deck, with awe-inspiring views of the nearby mountains. Alternatively, why not share stories around the firepit as you swirl a bright pinot noir around your glass?

Good wine needs good food. Thankfully the fully kitted-out kitchen is equipped with everything you'll need to unleash your latent culinary creativity. Alternatively, there's a gas grill in the backyard for chargrilled outdoor eating. With dinner ready, gather around the three-person breakfast bar or the gorgeous wooden dining table.

On days when you don't fancy cooking, the home is just minutes from Healdsburg, the epicentre of Sonoma County's dining scene. Its vibrant downtown is dotted with a mouthwatering selection of restaurants, from celebrated chefs to innovative up-and-comers.

At the end of the day, break out a book and retreat to the quiet of the reading room, or stretch out on either of the two super king-size beds before falling into a wine-induced slumber. Remote black-out blinds ensure you can enjoy a lie-in if you need it.

Climb the Vine

This delightful Wine Country home is a superb choice for a family or group of friends hoping to relax, unwind, and try some of California’s finest tipples. A newly built cottage, this home sits just eight miles from Healdsburg Plaza, and a few minutes from Lake Sonoma. It’s far enough from town to feel like a real retreat, but you’re within easy reach of anything you might need. Best of all, there are dozens of wineries within minutes.

As soon as you arrive, you’ll be taken by the stunning vineyard views – this really is a pretty setting. The home has been designed in the style of an Italian villa, with wooden floors and stylish decor. It’s wonderfully comfortable too – after a long day, you can curl up in front of the fireplace to sip tea and enjoy a moment of tranquillity. The kitchen is wonderfully well stocked with utensils so you can whip up feasts with no trouble at all – or, easier still, book a private chef to wow your guests.

The porch is a strong contender for our favourite spot. Take a seat in a rocking chair as the sun is sinking in the sky, and sip a glass of the wine you most enjoyed that day. You’ll feel a million miles from the hustle and bustle. Continue to unwind by slipping into the hot tub. After one last glass of wine and a few marshmallows toasted over the fire pit, you’ll be ready to sink into a comfortable bed for an excellent night’s sleep. We love it here.

Head down to the river, where you’ll find your own private beach, from which you can set off in your personal watercraft and go on adventures along the water. As the evening rolls in, fire up the grill and cook up some meats for dinner, before having a soak in the hot tub and watching the stars come out.

If you fancy exploring a new city, Healdsburg is a short drive away, a city packed with small-town charm, and with lots of bustling bars and vibrant restaurants to explore.

Redwood Riverside
