Located in the heart of El Born — Barcelona's epicentre of cool — this apartment is surrounded by exclusive boutiques, hip bars open late into the night and the Picasso Museum, which is only four minutes' walk away. Inside the home, we admired the rustic touches left in after a recent renovation, particularly the exposed brickwork and wooden beams.

Even if we didn't know this home's location, we'd be inclined to say that 'it's so El Born'. Unique art and furniture capture the neighbourhood's character, so you won't notice much difference between the chic interior and the many trendy tapas bars dotted around the nearby streets.

Floating Cinder is only available for longer stays, and as such we think it has to be judged slightly differently to places that are destined for short trips. For example, we wouldn’t recommend using the sofa bed (though of course, it’s your choice), but equally, the extra space and the decent kitchen weigh heavier in our verdict.
