It’s easy to see the lengths that your host, Luca has gone to with this home to really bring a snug studio space alive—it’s full of interesting details which simultaneously stand alone and work in harmony to tie the place together. From the textured, botanical print wallpaper to the gold sunburst mirror and vitalising forest green accents, its quirkiness fits in well with the local area, famous for its individuality and bohemian spirit.

The Duchess is a comfortable place with lots going for it, but we’d be remiss if we didn’t start with that view. A city like Rome is full of views, but even so, this one is special, and the terrace itself is beautiful, with the furniture, the awning and the flowers all around (in summer, at least).
