Donning the classic whites and blues of a beach house, this villa in San Lorenzo is a mere three minute stroll away from one of the most beautiful beaches in Sicily, but it has way more to offer than just that. The picture of modern comfort, this home encourages morning lie-ins and refreshing rain showers, first-sip-of-your-coffee moments and alfresco dining, but most importantly it forces the connection between human and nature with a very magnetising outdoor area. The moment you step out onto the patio and see the breathtaking, panoramic views of the Ionian Sea, you’ll not be able to comprehend how it can get any better, but just wait until you take the stairs up onto the sun terrace. From here, coincidentally, you can also hop in the jacuzzi, so our recommendation would be to do just that, with a glass of prosecco in hand, of course, so you watch the sun dip behind the horizon at dusk. 

With a few wineries in the surrounding area, why not go on a tour – you’ll get to each of them in ten minutes or less – and bring back a few of your favourites to enjoy with the Mediterranean feast you’ll prepare on the barbecue? Of course you’ll escape to the beach as often as possible, but the lively fishing village of Marzamemi is utterly charming and reachable by car in eight minutes.

With some small steps up to the pool and main terrace, it may not be suitable for all guests with limited mobility. But the flexible sleeping arrangement and provided cot and high chair mean it's great for families or friend groups travelling together.  We recommend hiring a car for visiting Marzamemi and the Taormina nature reserve, as well as popular Sicilian spots like Noto.

This stunning home tucked away on Southern Italy’s coastline offers a perfect slice of Sicilian paradise. Get the grill going and serve up a dreamy Italian spread featuring barbecued meats and fish from the local farmer's market, paired with Italian wine (of course) while you take in the stunning vistas as the sun goes down over the horizon in the distance.
