Just minutes from the nearest sandy beach, this villa boasts views of the Ionian sea, its own private pool, and two terraces. With some small steps up to the pool and main terrace, it may not be suitable for all guests with limited mobility. But the flexible sleeping arrangement and provided cot and high chair mean it's great for families or friend groups travelling together.  We recommend hiring a car for visiting Marzamemi and the Taormina nature reserve, as well as popular Sicilian spots like Noto.

Eat breakfast on the covered terrace, enjoying the view of the gardens and pool, and beyond to the sea. We’d follow this with a dip in the beautiful pool, or by wandering down to the beach. Our favourite beach, San Lorenzo, is a nineteen-minute walk, or you can nip there in two minutes in the car. Spend the afternoon in Marzamemi, where you can stroll along the cobbled streets and treat yourself to some fresh seafood for lunch – there’s no shortage of picture-perfect eateries along the attractive harbour. 

You have a tough decision to make in the evening – do you watch the sunset from the roof terrace or from the hot tub in the pool? Wherever you choose to enjoy it, make sure you do so with a glass of local wine. Absolute bliss.

The nearest sandy beach is just 300 metres away, but you will need a car to get to local amenities. Your host can help arrange car rentals, which will also come in handy if you’re looking to adventure further afield and explore the majestic towns of Syracuse, Ragusa and Noto. 


Calm by the Shore

This stunning home tucked away on Southern Italy’s coastline offers a perfect slice of Sicilian paradise. With the beach on your doorstep, listen to the soothing waves while sunbathing on the rooftop terrace or by your private swimming pool. Behind its cute garden and iconic facade, you’ll find a big, open area which makes communal living a breeze. From its living spaces, each bedroom is uniquely designed with meticulous attention to detail. Made up of two neighbouring villas with separate outdoor areas, kitchens and living spaces, this is an ideal choice for families who want to enjoy a break together but still have their own space. You're not seeing double. This home is made up of two neighbouring villas on the same estate. You'll have two of everything here – two private pools (though only one of these is open all year round), two gardens, and two rooftop terraces with sea views where you can watch the sunset. We think it's excellent for separate families or large friend groups craving independent spaces. You'll want a car here, as the baroque towns of Syracuse, Ragusa and Noto are within driving distance. Meanwhile, beach days are at your fingertips with the nearest sandy shore just 300 metres away.

If you’re visiting in a group, this is the spot. There are two villas on this property, so your cohort will have plenty of space to unwind solo and socialise over a pitcher of Aperol spritz. The designs are minimal, which allows those sea vistas to really shine. Speaking of, you’ll have direct beach access here – and even when you don’t feel like sand, you can watch the waves from your private pool. For dinners out, head into the charming fishing village of Marzamemi to sample the local cuisine, or spend a day soaking up some culture in Noto, a short drive away.
