The Meiselman

Lapping up 80-degree views of the San Jacinto mountains and the Dry Falls, this Palms Springs home resides in the luxurious Vista Las Palmas neighbourhood – renowned for its rich architecture and Hollywood history. Preserving its original classic character throughout, we particularly love design details such as the open stone fireplace and quirky blush pink tiling of the kitchen – it's accents like these that set this home apart from the rest. With its private pickleball court, putting green, and beach volleyball area, this desert home is a hub for entertainment and friendly competition. When you’re not relaxing in a sun lounger by the pool or soaking in the hot tub, cook up a storm on the barbecue and dine alfresco at the nearby outdoor table. Then, chat the evening away around the fire pit as the sun goes down. Two lucky guests can retire to the separate casita accessible from the courtyard, but everyone else will still feel very comfortable in the king suites in the main house. If you’re willing to tear yourself away from the house, the restaurants and bars of Palm Springs are close by, too.

Fun in the Desert

Set in Palm Springs’ exclusive Little Tuscany neighbourhood, this home is a great find for small groups. Outside, there's a private pool with mountain views, and space to dine alfresco or gather round the fire pit. Inside, two lounges and a cosy fireplace are perfect for unwinding, while two of the bedrooms open straight onto the patio. You can walk to local bars and restaurants, but we'd recommend renting a car to fully explore. Downtown Palm Springs, Palm Canyon Drive and some great hiking trails are all just a few minutes away.

Desert Vistas

Beautifully appointed in the shades of the San Jacinto Mountains, this glamorous home captures the new-age modernist vibe of the LA desert. Stepping out to look around the garden, you'll notice tall swaying palms, vibrant red chairs and a sparking saline swimming pool with an integrated waterfall spa. Here, you'll also find a barbecue island bar with chic stools to perch on while sipping cocktails – we certainly know where we'd spend our time. Sliding glass doors welcome you into the living space, blurring the boundaries between outside and in, so you can gaze into the picturesque mountain silhouettes whether you are. Inside, there's a modern look with high vaulted ceilings, polished marble floors and a swanky chef's kitchen – enjoy a quick cup of coffee around the curved breakfast bar. Bright and roomy, all the bedrooms have their own personalities and open up to an outside area. They're also accompanied by some seriously stunning en-suite bathrooms – we could think of nothing better than taking a long soak in the freestanding bathtub to wash that chlorine off. In a historic tennis club neighbourhood, you're surrounded by great walking trails as well as the Palm Canyon Drive that will take just a six-minute car ride to reach. Flourishing with upscale shops, indie coffee houses and some excellent restaurants, there's plenty to explore. A sixteen-minute stroll north will find you in Downtown Palm Springs, boasting fancy boulevards and the glitz and glam of Hollywood. With so much around you, we think this mid-century pool pad is as convenient as it is stylish.
