Located just a few minute's drive from Downtown Palm Springs, this home sets the tone for a restorative desert stay. Featuring a private terrace with a fire pit and barbecue, you’ll find everything you could need for magical evenings under the stars. There is also a communal swimming pool, a hot tub and a tennis court available for use throughout your stay. At full occupancy, two guests will be sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room, but there is plenty of socialising space for families and groups. From here, you can walk, cycle or take the car to the nearest restaurants, cafes and shops. 


Zen Living 

If the interiors of this minimalist home appear to have jumped straight out of the pages of a glossy magazine, you’re not far off. This home, designed by Palmer and Kriesel is hidden away in a Palm Springs cul-de-sac and has previously graced the pages of the New York Times. Homage to all things mid-century, with Eames chairs, Nelson lamps and a vintage Malm fireplace in the master bedroom.

We were wowed by the open living area, designed with socialising in mind and with great views of the backyard. Out in the garden, reclining by the shimmering turquoise pool is the perfect way to unwind, but if you need to take your relaxing to the next level, there’s also a hot tub to bubble the night away in. Dine alfresco under the endless desert sky, then end the evening around the flickering fire pit with a glass of something strong as the sun sets behind the mountains.

When you want to venture out, downtown Palm Springs is only a five-minute drive away, and Joshua Tree National Park, roughly an hour away, is a must-see for hikers and nature enthusiasts. Visit The Palm Springs Art Museum, an eight-minute drive away which features complex sculptures, glassworks, and photographs by renowned artists such as Andy Warhol and Diane Arbus.


Splash & Chill

Sitting on the edge of Palm Springs, this hacienda-style home was built in the 1940s, but even the architecturally untrained eye will be able to see that there have been some more recent additions made in the ensuing decades.

The most obvious of these upgrades has to be the saline swimming pool with a fountain feature that sits in the middle of the outdoor space, which benefits from a striking mountain backdrop. Once you're done splashing about, you can try your hand at bocce ball on the regulation-size court or show off culinary skills on the built-in barbecue. Even if you're just taking a seat on a lounger, you're sure to appreciate the grapevine-covered pergola and citrus orchard that guests are free to pick from.

Inside, the architects in charge of the home's recent restoration have retained much of the period charm, as seen with the terracotta tiling underfoot, wooden furnishings and ornate chandeliers. That being said, the kitchen and bathrooms are sufficiently sleek for modern travellers and there's also a great collection of board games and books to keep you entertained.

When you're in the mood to see a little more of the local area, Downtown Palm Springs is less than five minutes' drive away and offers a wealth of galleries, restaurants and shops to explore. When it comes to outdoor excursions, there are two things you will find in abundance locally – hiking trails and golf courses. You can also take the Aerial Tramway – ten minutes away by car – to the top of San Jacinto.

Head Honcho

Step into a slice of Hollywood history at this iconic Palm Springs estate once owned by Elizabeth Taylor herself. Today, it’s a bright oasis, with an open-plan living area, minimalist decor, and sunlight pouring through every window. Outside, the private resort-style backyard is where the magic happens – take a dip in the pool, unwind in the jacuzzi, or enjoy alfresco dining in the outdoor kitchen and bar. Four bedrooms (including a casita) offer space and privacy for everyone. Just minutes from downtown Palm Springs, this is luxury living with a touch of old Hollywood glamour.

Old Paradise

This midcentury home in Palm Springs feels as sublime as its landscape. 

Designed by the respected architect William Krisel, the house has been restored into a contemporary oasis whilst retaining its original charm. And like the mountains that surround it, this is the kind of space that makes a bold statement. With bright colours and luxurious features, there’s a powerful presence to this space that makes you want to settle in and stay.  

The communal areas have been thoughtfully styled to inspire a wonderful sense of intimacy – you’ll love gathering around the table for beautiful dinners or cuddling up on the sofa in the living room. Outside, the playful spirit of this home really shines. With expansive views across the mountains, you could spend your days out here by the pool, sipping drinks in the shade, cooking in the outdoor kitchen, and simply soaking in the natural abundance of this setting. 

Located in a quiet and friendly neighbourhood, you’ll find Victoria Park is a six–minute walk away, while Downtown Palm Springs is only a seven–minute drive away. Wherever the day takes you, this home is the perfect setting for alfresco dining and drinks as the sun sets. 

The Palm Breeze 

On a hill on the western edge of Palm Springs, this sprawling villa projects modern luxury complete with sweeping views of the city below. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows and doors ensure this view is always front and centre, while flooding the living areas with light. Days unfold around the pool terrace — long mornings spent in quiet solitude, afternoons drifting between sun and shade, evenings watching the valley turn gold, then glittering with city lights. Venture out to explore the restaurants and bars that make Palm Springs famous, or hike the trails of the San Jacinto mountains.

Desert Lux

You'll find classic Palm Springs-style in abundance at this iconic 1965 Alexander home in Oasis Del Sol. The backyard is the main draw. Swim in the pool, fire up the BBQ, or unwind in the spa at sunset in front of mountain views. Inside, the decor won't blow you away, but it's spacious, with two living rooms and two dining areas. At full capacity, two guests will share the Murphy bed in the office, and you’ll be sharing three bathrooms – easy enough for a group or family. You can walk to a few local spots, but it’s worth hiring a car to reach downtown Palm Springs, Palm Canyon Drive, or some of the famous hiking trails nearby.

Desert Iconic

This Palm Springs pad was designed with outdoor living in mind. A private pool and your pick of sun-drenched seating areas promise relaxing afternoons. As dusk falls, make a beeline to the hot tub or gather around the fire pit for a nightcap under the stars. Unsurprisingly, the interiors lean into the mid-century style this area is known for – they're cool, comfortable, and just the right amount of kitschy. When you're ready to explore, you're not far by car from Palm Canyon Drive's shopping, dining, and entertainment options.

Stardust Style

This little Palm Springs pad just pops. From the minute you walk through the door, the quirky neon touches and fun flourishes are guaranteed to put a smile on even the surliest of faces. An eclectic mix of mid-century modern meets carefully chosen kitsch, this home entertains. It also manages to make self-contained feel pretty sumptuous – we love the stylish, platinum seating area and the resplendent, nickel-coloured bed. This cool chalet-style home is one of four that share a fabulous outdoor area. You can sip cocktails by the poolside, sit in the shade of the swaying palm trees, make s’mores around the fire pit or cook some real food on the barbecue. On a quiet street at the northern end of Palm Springs, where you’ll find the newest shops and restaurants, you’ll be close to the Aerial Tramway and just a few minutes drive from downtown. 

Every Cloud

Sun, sand, and a buzzing centre – Palm Springs has it all. Start your morning lounging by the pool or playing a couple of garden games, before winding down the day with a family barbecue and drinks by the firepit (or the hot tub – the choice is yours). Travellers who want a little extra space can claim the separate casita with a bedroom, ensuite, and living space. When you're ready to explore, Palm Springs' boutiques, galleries and eateries are a short drive away, and you can visit the deserts of Coachella Valley and Joshua Tree in under an hour. 

Desert Valley

Tucked away in the heart of historic Old Las Palmas, this stunning villa offers privacy and resort-style luxury. Mornings begin with mountain views, and end with sunset cocktails by the pool. There’s a spa, fire pit, putting green, bocce court, ping pong table and endless spots to dine, unwind or play. Inside, you’ll find a fully-equipped kitchen, billiards room, bar and comfortable bedrooms. The showstopping primary suite has its own lounge, spa-style bath and walk-through closet. A separate casita offers even more space and privacy, complete with its own kitchen and Murphy bed. With shops, restaurants, parks, trails, and golf all within a ten-minute drive away, this is truly the perfect Palm Springs getaway.

Sunset Palms

Located in one of Palm Springs' most historic – and family-friendly – neighbourhoods, this home is the perfect base for a Coachella Valley escape. Vintage furnishings (including a chic fireplace) match the original mid-century design, but the real highlight is the outdoor space. The terrace has space for both dining and relaxation – would you prefer the hammock or the hot tub? A casual ping-pong tournament in the games room is a must, but if you'd rather remain in the sun, try bocce in the garden. All this might tempt you to chill at home, but the museums and eateries of downtown Palm Springs are a short drive away.
