This mid-century modern home is in the sought-after Tahquitz River Estates neighbourhood, home to vintage shops and a variety of restaurants. Downtown Palm Springs is just a short drive away, too, with all of its cultural attractions. So, that’s the location – the home itself has a resort-style pool and Jacuzzi framed by views of the San Jacinto Mountains. The grounds feature fruit trees, including fig, mandarin, and pomegranate, and the outdoor kitchen is the place to prepare alfresco lunches. Inside, the two living rooms, furnished with designer pieces, ensure there’s plenty of space to unwind. We particularly love the one with the working fireplace. This home is designed for relaxation.

Desert Calm

Revel in the mountain views from this stylish single-story home, complete with a private pool, spa, a fire pit, and space for alfresco dining. The home has three bedrooms and three full bathrooms with a sofa bed, making it perfect for couples with kids or a group of friends. Powered by Alexa, you'll be able to control the window shades, patio lights, music, and even the spa heat and jets with only your voice. Entertainment options abound with board games, a record player, cornhole, and a foosball table. The home is centrally located to all that Palm Springs has to offer including golf resorts, fantastic local restaurants, and art exhibits.

The home’s personal collection of records allows you to soundtrack your day on the turntable or bring your speaker instead - think Billie Holiday whilst grinding your morning coffee to enjoy on your outdoor terrace, Tame Impala for sessions submerged in the pool or hot tub and David Bowie for gin and tonics as the Palm Desert stars descend. 

We don't blame you if you want to spend all your time sun-soaking at your Palm oasis. However, there is plenty to do if you feel like getting to know the local area. Golfers can take their pick from the nearby courses – Mesquite Country Club and Indian Canyons Golf Resort are less than ten minutes away by car – while hikers can explore the cactus-studded landscapes of the San Jacinto mountain range. When night comes, head to El Jefe, just nine minutes on foot, for indulgent Mexican dishes such as the carne asada nachos or Baja fish tacos, all washed down with a spicy guava margarita.

To top it all off are the fantastic views of the San Jacinto Mountains and the fact that lively Downtown Palm Springs is a short drive away.

Retro Sunburst

This desert home is simply breathtaking. Set in the sought-after Mesa neighbourhood, just a few minutes drive from central Palm Springs, it's a notable piece of mid-century architecture that's been reimagined to create the perfect luxurious retreat. High in the hills, with the rocky outcrops as its dramatic backdrop, it's cool, contemporary and as stylish as they come. Seemingly built into the rocky hillside itself, the steps up to the front door lead to a single storey home with vast window walls to make the most of the incredible 200-degree views over the mountain ranges, valley floor and the city. There's a comfortable living room with a cosy fireplace, which opens onto a modern kitchen with spaces to eat as a group both indoors and out. And while two fabulous bedrooms are in the central part of the house, the added casita is just on the other side of the outdoor lounge area and boasts metallic walls and a graffiti wall of song lyrics behind the bed, which gives it its nickname 'Love Shack'. Add in a few bonus features like an outdoor bar, barbecue, fire pits, infinity pool with a spa, and we think this place is really rather special.

Pour Me A Dream

Vast sliding walls of glass blur the lines between indoors and out in this spacious, mid-century home, where glorious Palm Springs sunshine and gorgeous mountain views steal the show.

Inside, an open lounge is centred around a stylish fireplace with chic period furniture. The dining area is separated from the kitchen by a breakfast bar, beyond which you'll find everything you need to cook up a feast for the whole family.

There's even more living space outside, inviting you to spend sun-soaked days under cloudless skies. The kidney-shaped pool offers a chance to cool off from the heat of the day in between sun lounger sessions, while those who prefer to stick to the shade can lounge on the outdoor sofa under the bright blue parasol. 

The adjacent hot tub makes for romantic nights staring up at the stars, followed by cosying up around the fire pit to dry off before dinner. Tuck into sumptuous homemade meals fresh from the grill, or bring in the professionals for restaurant-quality food in the comfort of your home. Alternatively, stroll half an hour into central Palm Springs to experience the dynamic desert dining scene.

Silent Cinema

This elegant home dates back to 1957, a time when Ol’ Blue Eyes ruled the Palm Springs scene, and traces of that bygone glamour are still distinctly present here, even though the place has been fully modernised. Offering stunning views over the surrounding mountains, this is an ideal spot for a relaxing Palm Springs break.

You’ll fall in love with the outdoor area, which features a luxurious heated pool, a large lounge and dining area, and plenty of comfy sun loungers for those idyllic afternoons. There’s no better place to be than poolside, enjoying the warmth of the fire pit, and some sunset drinks with your loved ones. 

Come inside to find a charming, light-filled space, with wooden ceilings, stone features and a cosy fireplace, perfect for those chilly desert nights. Gather to watch a movie or organise a communal feast in the dining area – you’ll be able to cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen. 

Everyone will be enjoying a good night’s rest, courtesy of the plush bedrooms, including one situated in a separate ‘casina’ – this one is an ideal choice for those who want to relish their privacy. 

When you're ready to head out and explore, you’ll find yourself just a short drive from the vibrant Downtown, and you can also easily explore the countless hiking and cycling trails in the surrounding mountains. Your local area also offers a wide range of great bars, restaurants and local shops. 

Nice 'n' Easy 

Pow! This Mid-Century Modern house certainly has visual impact. From kitsch gold taps in the bathroom to the African nick-nacks adorning every surface in the living room, its style is best described as “more is more”. Every care has been taken to preserve this home in its original 1950s glamour, when its owner ran the famed Chi Chi Lounge, frequented by celebrity clientele who’d pop over to his house for Sunday brunch. You can easily imagine Frank Sinatra propped up at the private bar in the lounge, or sipping a cocktail by the kidney-shaped pool outside. Why not channel Ol’ Blue Eyes with a singsong around the piano after a day exploring all that Palm Springs has to offer. The restaurants and shops of East Palm Canyon Drive are within walking distance and it's a short drive to downtown.
