Spread over three floors and with stunning sea and beach views at every turn, this beachside home will suit sun lovers to a tee. Every hour of the day can be orientated around the view, from breakfast at the dining table overlooking the ocean to evenings at the hot tub or beach-level fire pit. With seating areas across the home, you'll easily split into smaller groups here – ideal when travelling with several generations. If you are driving, you'll find yourself just a few miles from SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo, downtown San Diego, and much more – though the smaller garage will limit your choice of vehicle. 

A Walk on the Beach

You won’t get much closer to the beach than this San Diego villa, nudged up to the golden sands of South Mission. With panoramic sea views, you’re in a prime position for watching the sunset over the North Pacific Ocean from the beachfront terrace or balcony. Located close to the seafront boardwalk, with volleyball courts, a playground, and calm waters nearby, it’s a great choice for families. It’s worth noting that this villa is only available with five bedrooms and four bathrooms during the summer – at other times it’s rented as a four-bedroom, three-bathroom home that sleeps ten.

Rock Bottom

Live ocean side in this villa with your family or a group of friends. The San Diego lifestyle is easy to embrace when all the perks of Mission Beach are right at your doorstep. Beach days require you to pack only a bathing suit because boogie boards, beach chairs, and toys are available in the villa. The surf shop is just across the street if you’re looking to catch waves. Just steps away is the main street of the town where you can eat or shop with the locals. During your stay, you will have a luxury concierge on your side so be sure to take advantage of their tips and recommendations to get the most out of this San Diego experience. Watch the vibrant city, waves, and uninterrupted sunset all from the villa’s fire pit. Rinse and repeat.

Catching Waves

This detached family home is literally steps from the soft sand of Mission Beach (five steps, we’ve counted). The back terrace, with its outdoor dining, gas grill and firepit, looks out over the bay, which is sheltered and calm enough for swimming. Your host provides boogie boards, beach chairs, towels and sand toys and it’s just a few steps home if you’ve forgotten the sunscreen. Sandy feet can be tended to at the outdoor foot wash before stepping through the folding glass doors into the open living space. The line between indoor and outdoor living is truly blended here as you can swivel the Smart TV around for outdoor viewing, or hang out in the gourmet kitchen as the sea breeze drifts in. One level up, the master bedroom comes with a massage table and access to a private terrace overlooking the ocean for a quiet sundowner.

Steps From the Bay

Facing right onto the beach, this bay view home is in the heart of San Diego’s Mission Beach neighbourhood. Just a few blocks from the buzz and bustle of Mission Beach Boulevard, you'll find everything you want from a Southern California holiday – boogie boards and deckchairs included. Set across two separate units, the home can sleep up to 10 guests and is a great option for friends or family looking to spend time together, while still hoping for a little privacy at their home from home. The lower unit boasts a picture window that perfectly frames your clear view of the water, while the height gained in the upper unit means you’ll benefit from even more expansive water views. Both units are decorated in an understated nautical theme, with neutral tones and natural textiles allowing the views to do the real talking. You can enjoy watching the world go by from the large ground floor patio or if you fancy some thrills, you’re just moments away from the amusement park rides of Belmont Park. 

Happy Daze Like These

Just a three-minute stroll from the soft white sands of South Mission Beach and the gentle waters of Mariners Basin, this home's location alone is enough for us to praise it to the skies. It sits just off Mission Boulevard, the peninsula's shop-lined artery, brimming with an array of hip cafés, bars and restaurants. From here, you're nine minutes from Belmont Park on foot and a fifteen-minute drive from Downtown San Diego.

This exquisitely renovated home promises comfort and style. With its free-flowing layout, travertine tile flooring and coastal-inspired colour pallet, the interior exudes an ambience of calm. After a day at the beach, you'll love kicking back in this air-conditioned pad, roosted at the breakfast bar for a post-surf snack or snuggled up on the plush sofas. Outside, the large deck, nestled amidst towering palms, offers a lovely spot to sunbathe or relax in the shade. Come sunset, fire up the barbecue and gather around the dining area for an alfresco feast before cuddling up beside the fireplace's warm glow.

Foam Climb

Brand spanking new beachy interiors, a sun-drenched living room, a fully equipped kitchen and two smart TVs… but you probably won’t be spending much time inside when you see the view. The swim and surf-friendly Mission Beach is right outside your window. There are boogie boards, beach chairs and toys in the home which you can borrow for free, or you can pop into one of the local rental shops to hire jet skis, paddleboards, wakeboards and kayaks. After a day in the dunes, you can soak off the surf in the oversized shower before heading out for a bite to eat on Mission Boulevard, just around the corner. If you fancy a change of scene (which we don’t expect you will), then other attractions like Belmont Park, SeaWorld San Diego and San Diego Zoo are all close by.

Marine Dream

When you plan a holiday at the beach, you want to be close enough to hear the ocean rushing ashore, and to smell the salt air. This home is perfectly placed right on the beachfront of San Diego’s South Mission Beach. A wrap-around balcony means that you’re never far from the ocean view, whether you’ve just woken up or you’re cooking up a storm. 

The apartment is luxurious and roomy, designed in a Cape Cod style that brings the seaside setting in, in the most elegant way. A barbecue on the balcony means that you can easily dine in if you fancy it, whipping up accompanying salads and sides in the well-equipped kitchen. If you’re all dining together, you’ll likely plump to dine inside, enjoying the view through the window. Alternatively, you might grab a table for two on the balcony for a romantic supper as the sun is setting. 

As well as being a stone’s throw from the beach, the apartment is close to Belmont Park. Walk twelve minutes to explore the shops and restaurants, perhaps with a cheeky game of mini-golf on the way. Mission Bay Park is only fifteen minutes away by car, and is an excellent spot for water sports – will you try kayaking or sailing? 


Beachside Bellini 

With panoramic ocean views and direct access to the beach, this penthouse home is a real winner in our books. Located just south of San Diego's famous Belmont Park amusement park, you'll find this impressive abode tucked in between white, sandy beaches and grassy public parks – an ideal spot for those that like to spend time outdoors. Wake up from a great night's sleep in a wonderfully cosy bed and open the motorised blackout shades to enjoy a front-row seat of the Pacific. Take a short stroll along the beachfront and explore the array of eateries and boutiques, dipping your toes in the water on your return. When you arrive home, you'll be blown away by the spectacular sunsets that turn the home's blue accents and nautical interiors into a soft shade of pink. Sip cocktails on the rooftop balcony while overlooking the boardwalk, or open the retractable doors to let the outside in – you'll wish you could stay forever.

Sea of Glass

Welcome to the land of swimming, surfing and sea breeze. Comparison of two separate condos, this place would suit a large family or group of friends looking to escape to the beach. It’s just a three-minute stroll to the sand of Mission Beach and your host has provided all the essentials – boogie boards, beach chairs, towels and sand toys. Heading home doesn’t mean staying inside – a private terrace offering both shaded sofa seating and loungers in the sun awaits your return. When you do retire to your abode, both condos are decked out in beach-chic white and blue for a calming retreat. A full kitchen in each means a little self-contained privacy if you wish, or gather the group at the outdoor dining table for a feast from the barbecue.

Hang Ten

With four (yes, four) separate outdoor spaces, you'll be spoilt for choice at this stunning San Diego home. Our favourite has to be the fourth-level rooftop sky deck offering panoramic 360-degree ocean, city and bay views – the sunrise and sunsets are incredible. Create special memories sitting around the fire pit with your family or friends here. 

You'd think this would be the only wow factor, wouldn't you, but no, there's more. The stunning living space has soaring ceilings and patio doors onto another terrace. Designer touches add to the ambience – it's a great place for entertaining. If you don't want to cook in the kitchen with its granite work surfaces, there's a barbecue on the deck outside too. There's a handy loft space, as well, where you'll find two more terraces, one facing south and one facing north.

We're happy to say the location is as impressive as the home itself. You can truly live the beach lifestyle here in the highly sought-after and laid-back neighbourhood of South Mission Beach. So, take advantage of the complimentary boogie boards, beach chairs, and sand toys – the beach is located just steps away. Or rent some jet skis, wakeboards, stand-up paddle boards, or kayaks from the shop opposite. It's not all about the sea, though – there are countless dining and shopping opportunities, too, on your doorstep. 

Other attractions include Belmont Park, which is a five-minute bike ride away. Or head to SeaWorld San Diego, a five-minute drive from this fabulous home.



San Diego Serenade

Live the true beach lifestyle at this home in a highly sought after Mission Beach neighbourhood. Perfect for two families or a family reunion, the stay is comprised of two units with separate entrances. Due to the home’s location tucked away from the busy beach, the neighbourhood is quiet and family-friendly. Wake to beautiful sunrises over the bay while the kids play in the calm waters. the ocean is only a five minute walk away. Take bikes around town and enjoy the local eateries and calm atmosphere of the area. You can spend days on end without getting into the car. Your hosts can also provide complimentary concierge service and arrange anything from a beach bonfire with s’mores to fine dining reservations – just ask for details.
